Another thought. Defending means you will go te to toe with the enemy teams best players and will experience their overdrives. Attacking means you can pick whom you engage and whom you avoid

Perhaps a MM suggestion: When a spot opens up, if the open spot team is winning, a lower ranked player will be placed in there, but if the team is losing, a higher rated player will be put in. This would allow the occasional comeback as well as keep teams from slowing down to spend time killing rather than ending the game, since new good players might swing the game given enough time. A matchmaking rating would be nice too. If I dominate, I should be put vs better players. If I am bad, I should be placed against worse ones. -
This I would agree with, altho I think I as someone who cant grind so much, am at peace with not getting the challenges finished

Help me out here. My clan is mostly f2p players with good equipment and who do very well in battles. Can u elaborate how they must pay in order to win?

This is a fair point, but I cant see drones causing the blowouts I see in almost every game. An m4 free player wont end with 3-12 k/d bc his opponent is using a drone. I am glad free players have enough drugs to compete...in theory it should make for very competitive games -
This star event has shown me a few things. First, matchmaking sometimes (many times) puts two teams together that have no business being together. Second, despite what I just said, some games are determine by those who have no intention of accomplishing anything in the battle. When I see wasps charging into battle with only speed boost activated, I question my own existance. Unfortunately some will always acheive the result of multing, which makes matchmaking harder.

Can we stop talking about buyers? Maybe at low tanks its an issue, but at high ranks everyone has m3s and upgrading them to 10/20 isnt hard. Everyone should have unlimited supplies right now, so if you lose bc you didnt use them...well thats your own problem. The nonturret turning thing is funny tho...Ive noticed it a lot too. My guess is that someone got tired of tanki and gave their account to their younger sibling or friend. -
Its hard to match the excitement of playing a good game with them tho. My favorite maps are the big ones where there is actually a difference between hulls and speed helps

Exactly. This might be why the mid ranks are most enjoyable bc equipment is strong but not so fast that everyone just spams viking or titan. With m4s, even titan is fast enough to get around most maps so why is more speed needed

Again, I have always liked the MM system, but at least half of games I play are like this....like what is one to do? A significant number or people are digging which makes going for stars a lot harder

Let's discuss my experience during this star event. First: A significant percentage of battles are not even close. I've gotten full stars several times simply because my teammates were doing nothing and I got wrecked but wrecked least of all. Second: In a large number of battles, the game goes on 6v8 or worse for a while. Yesterday I fought 4v8 defending in assault until we died. Then came this game below. It was 4v8 for a good long while. People left and MM did NOT replace them so they just died. At the end it was 8v3...I kinda think that the system should at least somewhat try to keep battles like this from taking place. Battles like this make me want to exit out and stop playing, and I've seen several. We had these before MM, but that was what MM was supposed to fix. Obviously you can fix "Runners" but replacing them as soon as they leave would be a good start

When we talk about supplies, lets remember that everyone has full access to supplies now. Unless you drug like crazy 24/7, you should have more than enough supplies. That being said, if you dont, it probably means either you are wasting them, or not doing missions

Idk if its bad for short range turrets to struggle. With so many small maps, a Fire can strap on a viking and has enough speed to get up close easily. If maps were larger, fires/freezes would need to switch to faster hulls and use more skirmishing tactics rather than charge into the center of the enemy. This is only from what Ive seen, but I hate seeing fire/freeze on med to heavy hulls

Switch turrets then. If they want all waste a protection slot, I'll just switch to something else and enjoy lots of damage

How was your k/d .1? Youre playing rico and thunder with Viking. At least once or maybe twice you should press shift and get 2+ kills almost instantly. I am assuming you waited to use you overdrive until you had double armor so you didnt die instantly. With thunder, you can wait until someone gets the gold and then light up the pile of diggers :)

I am seeing a ton of blowout games lately. In almost every game, there are a few players on the losing team that were either multing/gold digging or just playing terribly. I know that the first cannot be dealt with, but perhaps there is a way to place those players in lower battles were they can participate more effectively, which also means battles wouldnt be such blowouts hopefully

Can anyone explain what is lacking in the current hulls, that ares will fill? Is the a problem with heavy hulls currently that a floating hull will not have? Im asking bc Im not sure if adding more stuff for the sake of adding more stuff is a good idea

@wolverine: You observed an unclarified point, well played. Thanks, I will make it clear. Very rarely does every player on a team of 8 have a unique turret. Usually there are 2 fires, 2-3 mags, hammers, freezes, twins, ricos. With four prots I could theoretically protect vs an entire team if they had only four different turrets among them all. With 3, I can usually deal with at least half

If they increase the hp, then light hulls will lose value. Currently they have the ability to strike and kill quickly and get out

So Ive found that freeze wasp is a great combo and can do really well in battles. It does require a lot of drugging but can lead to epicly intense gameplay...feel like a swordsman slicing through an army

Are you all saying that magnum users might switch to hornet as their main? Crazy if true

With 3 modules I can many times protect vs half my enemy team. With four I could probly always protect vs over half. Thats not a good things

I dont play an alt acct so I cant be sure, but I have an idea. On low ranks, light hulls are the best because everything is slower so you need speed to get into the action. Hornet's overdrive allows you to ignore armor and protection...what protection? The 15% you have against me? You arent drugging either mostly....so that leaves Wasp with a light hull that has the ability to kill noobs who have no idea what theyre doing

Fair, but a viking might get 4 kills when it pops its overdrive, while with wasp I am thrilled to get 2, with 0-1 being more typical. Mammoth is slow, yes, but the overdrive does give it a speed boost so it can outrun a heavy hull and when charging into a heavily populated base, can wreck everyone

So plasma torch, im looking at that since I enjoy light hulls and am thinking a surprise hi amount of damage would be nice. Not sure tho
