The gold thingy might be a bit too powerful. Bsides that tho, i dont think its too strong

1. I don't think alts are OP...I just suggested countering with alts. Fire/freeze/isida/thunder/striker/vulcan/shaft/others...these I use without alts. Twins not, but that is because for some reason it has self damage. Rail alts are strong but also penalize you for missing shots and sometimes do nothing. 2. People should not be kept from playing the main battle type in TO with their friends. 3. Spawn killing does not happen nearly as much as it used to. The times when it does, some players will happily go sppedboost and die instantly, or just, die. I rarely spend much time in the enemy base without dying
-
Answers: Use alt to fight their alts. Groups rarely coordinate...at least I've not seen any that do. Why shouldn't people be able to play with their friends...play with your friends. Press 2 when you spawn to use one ofr your 3k supplies and not die instantly. If people choose to not drug or activate speed boost or damage...thats their choices not the fault of the invaders. Am I right in saying that your definition of exploiter is a person who uses why they can to win?
-
Why do you want clan chat to be modded? thats supposed to be your friend group or something similar. xpbp can be toxic sure, but you cant legislate away human toxicity Overdrives are nice...they were tough at first but I'm figuring them out. Idk, the game feels great currently

Hunter is fine...it is ok in my mind to be powerful because it doesnt actually do anything so much as it undoes things. freezing the enemy is a thing I guess, but basically it slows the game down by punishing drugged up enemies. Hornet, I thought was uselss until I realized i can charge in under a Titan's dome and kill everything quick easily...it ignores the dome protection Btws does hunter reset overdrive?
-
Can anyone comment on the speed at which overdrives charge? I've heard that they charge at different rates. If this is true, then Hunter seems like a direct counter to viking since it charges faster. Basically, Viking's OD is very powerful, but a few hunters on a team will make viking much less so.
-
I actually really like it now...its great with short and long range...freeze/rail etc. My question is, does hornet give protection ignore to the entire team or just you? It lets teammates see enemies, but does it let them ignore protection
-
You did just list the 3 strongest. I've seen Mamoths attacking in assault bc defenders can stop it. Titan has a good OD...I actually like it since the opponent can play around it. Viking is slow to charge but its like a bunch of insta kills when it goes. Wasp OD takes to long for the bomb to go off, and the radius isnt that much so you drop it and people just move away from it
-
I agree...who can activate it the most wins
-
So far my feelings about the new overdrives have not been good. Vikings is so OP so the most used hull now will be used more. Hunter's is ok, but its a slowish hull that needs to get close to the enemy. Titan's dome is causing people to huddle around the heavy hulls and I'm seeing mamoths sprinting into the enemy base. I have to play around the overdrives more than my opponent's play. I think I've got the bead on an enemy thunder? JK hes gonna pop OD and one shot me. Maybe things will change but this is definitely not enjoyable for me Other updates didnt really change the game...these do.
-
I dont really think old overdrives encouraged team play much. Maybe if your team was mature it helped but then you were typically stomping already. Seeing legends drive around with stars above them always frustrated me and after using OD on teammates a few times and having them flip me or me getting killed right after I dont go outa my way any more. At least these dont punish your teamamtes if you are noob and dont press shift lol. Also it will hopefully give dictator a role in the battle. I think we all need to wait before making our minds up about these.

Youre russian? Frick man all that typing you do, I dont think Ive ever seen bad grammar.
-
Yes. Run into base, drop bomb grab flag, get swarmed by freezes or heavy hulls. Idk ill keep working on it. Hornet removing protection is amazing...allows some nice kills

Does anyone know why that map madness was changed? I dont think Ive ever gotten a real answer -
Can we talk about wasps overdrive? I thought it would be cool but im finding the bomb gives too much time for enemies to get outa the way and the radius isnt much. Ive dropped maybe 6 bombs and selfed twice bc i got caught, and maybe killled 4 tanks. They can just run away from it too easily
-
Isn't this a benefit? OD's are more strategic than simply pressing shift when im in a losing 1v1 battle?
-
Let's all hold our feedback until we have seen how this will impact the game. Of course it will change, but probably not much. One thing to think about is how much the current overdrives cause battles to become blowouts. Good teams that are already individually skilled will also use overdrive to help each other, thus making them all even more OP. Losing teams will tend to use OD more individually as either they are noobs or they realize the battle is lost and just want to do well individually. This might be wrong but when I see a lot of players playing terribly, I will find those who are playing well and will give them OD. In the future, overdrives will be more individual or defensive, keeping powerful attacks from swarming the enemy base. One Viking OD will not be able to cause an entire team to spawn kill all day. Titan and Mamoth will make games slow down and become more defensive...potentially like people say they used to be. Hunter will do so as well, while Wasp's ability will encourage a few deepstrikes into the base to cause mahem. As I talk about this I'm actually really excited! Either way, though, people always react to things before seeing how they will pan out....lets be patient

These are really good points actually. Short games means winner/loser is virtually meaningless. I do think the battles are more intense than those of old days...at least the ones I've seen on video since I've only played for a year. I watch some old vids and just feel I could walk all over them with any combo...nowadays its a lot harder. 15 minute battles do lead to more runners and therefore blowouts, but you are much more invested in each game -
If people don't want to use overdrives that is fine...some dont currently...I will kill them, but it is their choice. Let's be patient...I am nervous about how they will change but we just don't know
-
And if everything is OP....then they are balanced indeed. As far as balance goes...I pretty much see every turret in equal numbers. The only exceptions are probably striker which takes a lot of experience, and vulcan which requires certain maps. Both those turrets are usually top score tho when they do play. I cant think of any turret that is stronger/weaker than others by any noticeable amount. I feel thunder isnt that useful, I guess, but others love it, for example
-
What role does this turret fill that isn't already filled by a number of turrets? It could be interesting I suppose to allow the turret to "setup" meaning to pcik a spot and be planted there until death, while giving it firepower that beats other turrets. The only problem with that is it might create defenses that are impregnable

Tanki has always been repetitive. Its a grinding game. You log in...jump into a battle and fight, then jump into a battle and fight, then jump into a battle and fight. Sure some changes have been made, but idk how those make it boring or repetitive in a way that it didnt use to be. Maybe I'm missing something? btws...arent you the same level you were like a year ago? I just noticed lol -
What is/are your "Can't believe that worked" moment(s) in Tanki?

Have you seen viking? its like 4 inches tall...usually in polygon, people mob the gold box area. -

I am not yet convinced that the game is dead...especially because I can log on right now and be in a battle in less than 30 seconds...and 15+ people responded to the idea
