Oh, is Donald Trump coming to help? I don't know about that. I'll keep him in mind. He has very deep pockets, but only touches the surface. If we can get him to dip really deeeep into those pockets, maybe we can buy that Battalion of Juggernauts.

Really?!? Where did you read/hear that? Hummmm. On second thought, you may be right. They attack the living, not the dead. The living is warm blooded and the dead are cold blooded. Good point. OK, @Ninja. Get your brain to working, see what you come up with. Hi? Is that it? The Zombies come in droves and all you have is "Hi?" I hope they're Zombie eating plants. You're right! A whole Battalion of those would be fantastic. I wonder if we could bribe the Devs into getting involved, here. If the Zombies get here first and we aren't prepared, there won't be a need for a second coming.

The Zombie Apocalypse is nearly upon us

A T T E N T I O N A L L T A N K E R S The Zombie Apocalypse is nearly upon us. @Adriel.RB has warned us in this post: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=372482 @The-Jinx knew it was coming, but his/her timeline was off. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=368120&view=findpost&p=6415104&hl=%2Bapocalypse The object on your left is your weapon. As all of you, who have added their weapon(s) to our arsenal, I have kept track of them all on page 5 of @Adriel.RBs post. (See list below). That's right, Tankers. The Zombies are getting restless. My Agents (whom will remain anonymous for security reasons) have reported that something or someone has awaken the Undead. For now, they are just wandering around aimlessly as though awakening from a deep, deep sleep and haven't gotten their bearings, yet. Soon, they will begin to feel that hunger, that empty feeling, that need they cannot resist. Now, is the time to open up our arsenal to see what type of weapons we can create out of this pile of junk. Keep in mind the best ways to kill a Zombie: Decapitation, Bludgeoning, Burning, Exploding. Anything that will either destroy the brain or separate the brain from the body. There have been reports from other sectors that even though the brain has been separated from the body, the Zombie still lives. The brain MUST be destroyed in these rare cases. Check your Urban Dictionary for more detail. Look at the list and see what your creative minds can create in preparation for the Zombie Apocalypse. Note: This has been discussed with @Adriel.RB and is presented with approval. -
Like this? Yeah!!! It worked! Now I understand. Thank you.

It would seem that way. I've been using Vulcan on this account very early in its career. I've yet to kill anyone when fighting turret to turret. But if I back off a bit, then I can see the numbers. But by this time, I'm too damaged to finish the kill.

OK, whatever floats your boat. I usually abbreviate it as OD, so if you want to translate that into Overdose, then be my guest. My mind still says it's Overdrive. Wanna have a battle of the minds? We can argue this point telepathically.

Is it ethical to sabotage your team to hurt a gold mult?
u812ic replied to railguniz4noobz in Archive
You would have fun, a few days ago had you been on the same map as me. My entire team were gold hunting mults. Game Mode: CTF. The opposing team waltzed in, took our flag and waltzed out with hardly any effort. Those within in range took some potshots at the flag bearer, but didn't bother to finish the job. But when the siren sounded....WOW, that would wake them up. They'd go after the gold, die, respawn and wait for the next one. That's the only time they ever left the base. Three times I went to the enemy base, killed the flag guards and grabbed the flag. But without team support it's hard for a Titan to out run most other tanks, even with SB activated. Then yesterday, nearly the same thing, except my losing team was a bit more active. Again CTF. My team never left the base to try to grab the flag, instead, they played TDM. But when the siren sounded, our base emptied out, leaving the flag undefended. During a gold drop, a wasp made 3 flags. He was just entering the base when the siren sounded. Grabbed the flag...right in front of some of my teammates. They did nothing to stop him. I was firing at him, but he got behind the the other players waiting for the gold box. When the meteor hit, he was already on his way back. While they were fighting for the box, he capped the second time. Our team was respawning when he grabbed the third flag. I couldn't kill him. He used the GB hunters as cover so my Vulcan aimed at the nearest enemy instead of the flag bearer. -
When I'm cornered and am fighting turret to turret, my Vulcan doesn't seem to do much damage, though I can see that I'm hitting the opposing tank, but if I move back a little then I can see I'm doing a lot more damage. How come I'm not doing much damage in very close quarters?

I agree with @DieselPlatinum. OverPower is better than OverDose.

Is using Overdrive on your own acceptable if you complete a majour task?

It does make a difference when used in connection with the drones. Last week, I battled against a team that had constant OD supplies applied. They were using OD and drones. The ranks were my rank and below. Our team was defenseless against them. I used my supplies as fast as I could and our whole team was sharing OD (except for 2). Our ODs couldn't come fast enough. Battle mode was CP. I tried many times to sneak out, but was always caught when they realized someone had escaped. Before the drones, I saw players activate all the OD supplies at once without the blue dome. Now, they don't have to hack the OD supplies. Just have a team with drones and it's GAME OVER. -
I just left a CTF battle. I was on the losing team and as far as I'm concerned, they deserved to lose. Map: Highways. Most of the players sat at base waiting for the Gold Box to drop while the other team waltzed off with with our flag. Some made a concerted effort to kill the flag bearer, but if the flag bearer didn't die....Oh Well. But when the siren sounded, they all woke up, went for the Gold Box, tried to kill whatever enemy was in the vicinity, died, respawned and waited for the next drop. Pathetic, really pathetic. I went to the enemy base by myself 3 times, killed the guards, grabbed the flag, loaded a SB. But even with a Titan, it's hard to fight off 3 attackers. If I had team support, we could have made those 3 flags. With my Vulcan, the enemy was fairly easy to kill. Maybe I should have stayed and played DM.

Watch TV Get a snack Get something to drink Let the dogs out/in Eat my snack Drink my drink Take the dogs for a walk Take a nap Check the monitor. Still searching for a battle? Ok. Make a phone call Spy on the neighbors Check the monitor. YAHOO! Oh crapola!! Another losing team.

I haven't played much CTF, lately, but I do play CP quite a lot. I've been in a few battles where the CP battlefield belonged to the opposing team and the losing team played TDM instead of trying to overturn the map. Nearly the entire team would respawn, go right past an enemy's CP point and never stop to change it. In one such battle the MM put me in, the score gap was ridiculous and I was on the losing team. Since my team was keeping the opposing team busy, I took the opportunity to change the CPs. Unfortunately, my team wasn't the best at TDM and got killed rather quickly. While they were respawning, the opposing team would regroup, kill me and change the CPs back. I didn't do any of the killing, except to defend myself the best I could (3 against 1). I managed to close the gap considerably, but my score was in the bottom half while the ones playing TDM made higher scores. I think part of the reason there has been such a great turn in attitude is not only the raise in individual funds (which I feel is long overdue) but the fact we can no longer stay and play the next battle together and the battles have been reduced from 15 minutes to 10 minutes. That's where a lot of the teamwork came into play. It was like giving the losing team a second chance. Many times the losing team would ban together in teamwork and win the second time around. I found the second battle more exciting and more challenging than the first and the score would be a lot closer. Yeah, yeah, I know. You can do that in Pro battles. But so many of those take 2 (120 minutes)-3 (180 minutes) hours to complete. I've seen a few 6 hour (360 minutes) battles. By that time, most players are mentally exhausted and don't want to play another long battle right away and don't stick around for a second try. Sometimes I wonder if the creator stopped to think how long a 360 minute battle is.

I'd say just honing your skills would be quite challenging. Play like a lower ranking non-buyer. Play against druggers, but don't use any yourself. Many non-buyers use their crystals for MUs and enter battle with very few supplies or none at all. That's how you hone your skills. Learn how to be an asset to your team without pressing number buttons. Joining drug battles or joining non supply battles, either way, puts everyone on equal grounds. Join random battles, don't use any drugs and score somewhere in the middle or above, consistently, is the real test of a good player. Then you have to learn how to survive the mental anguish and peer pressure your teammates will try to put upon you for not using supplies. That, alone, will actually help you in RL.

Sometimes, in rl jobs, the Boss will tell you to do a task that you personally don't feel is right, underhanded maybe, logistically right but morally wrong. At that point, you're faced with a hard decision of which you have to make a choice...Do I refuse to do this task and run the risk of being fired or do the task, save my job and then learn to live with my conscience. I think, at times, the Mods may be faced with the same situation. They may fully agree with the players negativity, but have to use a lot of restraint to help Tanki save face in a bad situation if they want to keep their position.

No one says you have to use OD on your teammates. It's yours, you earned it, you use it anyway you see fit. Personally, I try to save it for a teammate who is low on health and has no OD. But, in battle, situations can change very quickly. When I find myself in a bad situation, you can bet your booty I'll use it. Since the other team doesn't see your white star, it's like a secret weapon. -
I could tell you why in plain English , but my post would be deleted. A couple months ago, or so, another high ranking player had a problem with a high ranking player with M0 Isida on Massacre. The players were split on whether or not this should be allowed. I'm with you. Not all non-buyers can keep up with the MUs. Did you happen to look at his/her profile? Did he/she have better combos? That seems to be the issue. Personally, I don't have a problem with the M0 Isida nor with your situation. In fact, when in battle, I don't even look to see what M? a person is using. As long as that person is really trying, using some skill and not just multing I don't give it a second thought. With some skill, lower M? combos can make some good kills and actually be an asset to the team.

Lately, I've been finding this message on several websites where you need to log in. It's not just Tanki. Did you click on "Learn More"? It's all explained there.

Personally, I think the best solution is to have the buyers (P2P) and non-buyers (F2P) separated. Non-buyers would have half the maps open to them while the buyers has all the maps open. I used to play a MMO that was like that, but the buyers had to pay a monthly premium. If the payment lapsed, they were sent back to play with the non-buyers. However, the way Tanki is set up, that wouldn't work, because P2Pers could build up their account, let the payment lapse and OP in the F2P arena. The other game was set up much differently (2 separate arenas...P2P and F2P. One could not cross over and play in the other arena. If annual P2Pers let their payments lapse, there were very heavy consequences incurred), had millions of players on during the day and no less than 500,000 on at night at any given time. Nearly 3/4 of the players were P2P. Monthly it cost $20.00/month or $150.00/year. I don't remember exactly how many players there were at the time I quit, but no matter how you slice and dice, that's still a lot of moolah.

For the same reason when I was Captain I was fighting Generals and occasionally Marshals. It's the MMS. In the VLog, we were told that the Devs are aware of the rank gap and are working on it. Which, as we all know, doesn't say much.

I have a mission "Score points in Rugby" 0/375. Does this mean I have to make enough goals (touchdowns) to equal 375 points? If so, how many touchdowns is that?

How old are you and when did you start playing Tanki?
u812ic replied to TheTruth in Off-Topic Discussion
That's when I started, too. There aren't many Old Timers left. -
Okay, let me spell that out a little better. Before the WAR, I wasn't doing missions, the increased funds are recent so all the crystals I had were from the battles. I bought supplies with those crystals (that's why I had less than 10 of each and when those were gone, they were gone) and did one MU. By then, I was crystal poor. Because I was budgeting my supplies, I seldom used them. My hull was M0.2 against M0 10/10 and M1s. That's why my K/D was so low. I bought one kit in the store at the beginning of the WAR and started doing missions. I haven't bought any supplies....none.....since then. One time purchase. You ever hear the saying, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." That's exactly what I did. In Tanki (Rome) the players (Romans) use crystals like crazy, you know that. There was no way I could have kept up with the 200 kills without using supplies. To help me survive the WAR, I needed a good hull. I went with the advice. Another one time purchase. The only purchases I have made since the ending of the WAR is the 30 day premium. I have that only for the few extra crystals it brings in. I have a pretty good personal income so I can afford to spend a few dollars frivolously. What's the difference between spending a few dollars on a game or buying stuff in a store I don't really need? Some people will spend 50 to 100 USD to buy a game from a store and then make in game purchases....WoW comes to mind. Some will pay a monthly membership to a gamesite in order to play more than demos or to open up all the maps/areas instead of playing just 4 maps/areas for free. (Although, Tanki is getting that way with MM, isn't it. When they came out with Proplay, maps became restricted for the non-buyers. Now with MM, it's even more restricted). All I'm saying, is that, everyone throws money down the drain one way or another, whether it's buying a package of gum/candy/candy bar, a gadget (fidget spinners for example), BOOM-BOOM speakers for the car/truck or fancy interior/exterior lighting, a knick-knack for the shelf. It's all frivolous spending. How many things have you spent money on in the past month that you wanted, but didn't need for survival (including online purchases from Amazon, etc.)? So, don't go demoralizing people for wasting money in a way you don't approve of. It's a choice. If you don't have the money to waste on wants, then spend it on needs first, last and foremost. (I want this, but I need that).
-
I am absolutely sure I didn't claim it. The reward was for supplies I didn't need. When did the timer go into effect? I didn't know there was one.
-
Before Tanki's WAR, I was not a buyer. I had a few supplies (less than 10 of each), I was MUing, but I was a bit behind. After joining the WAR, I made the connection that the K/D was not the ingame D/L, but rather your personal K/D, which had to be kept above 1.0 (plus all the kills, etc.) to be eligible for all the bennies, if your team won. My K/D was on the cusp and going up and down above and below 1.0. So, for the first time since joining Tanki, I became a buyer. (I've been with Tanki longer than most players). I bought a supply kit from the store (I figured players were going to be using them like crazy). My Vulcan was M0 (10/10) and I was due to rank up for the M1. The hull was in a sad state, indeed. I asked in the forums which hull is better for a Vulcan. It was suggested I buy a Titan M1 in a kit, since that would be cheaper than buying just the Titan M1, which I did. I got going on daily missions and kept them up. Since then, by keeping up with my missions, I haven't bought any more supplies. Now I have over a thousand RK and DA, over 2 thousand DD and SB and over 3 thousand mines, 21 Gold boxes (some I've dropped during the game) and I lost count of containers (I open them immediately for the crystals). I will admit that I do keep up with the 30 day premiums. I also have 354 batteries, but no drones. With the crystals I make ingame and from the mission containers, I've kept up with the MUs. Now with the increase of individual crystals won in battle, coupled with the crystals I get from the missions, I'm sitting pretty good, right now. So, because I bought one supply kit, a Titan kit and keep up with the 30 day premiums, I guess I fall into the category of "not one of the sharpest tools in the shed." Isn't that right @sensei_tanker?
