    The most OP in 2020

First of all, I don't get why Firebird's Incendiary Mix is up there as one of the choices. Its barely "overpowered", considering the alt basically just makes Firebird do similar damage as normal Freeze, but unlike Freeze, there's no freezing effect. All in all, the alt seems perfectly balanced with normal Freeze. They both do similar damage, but Freeze has a freezing effect and Incendiary Firebird has more ammo. Second, Smoky's Autocannon isn't that overpowered. Sure, it's annoying, but its relatively easy to hide from (unless the map is Massacre or similar). It's only "overpowered" if 90% of the enemy team doesn't use supplies or drones, which is the case in the lower ranks. (Jeez, why the heck were the rank requirements to unlock alterations removed?) (The same goes for Shaft's Rapid Fire Mode. Only overpowered if most of the team doesn't use supplies and you're the only one using double damage and such (Again, the alts were perfectly implemented from 2017-2019 due to rank restrictions)) Anyhow, onto the stuff that's actually "overpowered": Magnum's Mortar This isn't extremely overpowered.....it's just "broken". You can do double damage to players if you land the hit super close (but not direct), and it in turn places a mine that the player ends up stepping on. I feel like the alt's mechanics are fine right now, it just needs a nerf in terms of reduction in splash damage efficiency (like lower splash damage, smaller splash radius, etc) Vulcan's Incendiary Band THIS ALT IS NOT OVERPOWERED. It's just being exploited with, cough, cough, Heat Immunity. Gauss' Electromagnetic Salvo I think we can all agree, this is the most annoying turret alteration that has been put in the game. Why it hasn't been nerfed after many months, is anyone's guess (probably to lure buyers lol). Sure, it reduces sniping damage.......by only 25%. But compare that to the extra 100% damage you can do once you remove an enemy's Double Armor. This alt basically increases sniping damage by 75%, AND it boosts sniping reload by a whopping 50%. This alt clearly means balance was thrown out the window, and that balancing stuff no longer matters in the game. In the past, overpowered alts such as Hammer's Duplet, Striker's Uranium, and Firebird's Compact Tanks got nerfed significantly. But this Gauss alt has been in the game for around 9 months now. Hornet's Scout Radar Overdrive So in Halloween of this year, this overdrive was "nerfed", but in reality, it got buffed. Previously, only the person using the Hornet could pierce through armor. Now, every single teammate also gets to utilize the ability. Of course, the piercing effect duration was reduced, and not everyone on the battle is applied the effect, but the people who did get pierced are now vulnerable to all enemies in the battle, not just from 1 Hornet user. Of course, this isn't necessarily "overpowered", as an armor pierced player can just hide in safety until the effect wears off (unlike burning effects which take your health down, or stunning and freezing which immobilizes you in the open), but the current version of the effect exposes them to a lot more enemies than before. Hopper Self-Explanatory, this hull shouldn't be able to stun AND burn enemies with it's overdrive. The hopping ability was "enough", as you could hop away into safety or to a high, unreachable point of the map to camp. Augments All augments are overpowered. This is because most of them cost around 5,000 tankcoins, and most f2p players require around 25 months of continuous playing/grinding to achieve that many tankcoins (you can't depend on containers to give it to ya. And challenges are randomized). If every single player could obtain Augments as easily as they can buy a new Turret or Protection Module, than no, Augments would no longer be devastatingly overpowered. Additionally.....the developers may have overlooked one thing. Heat Immunity and it's effect on Firebird. Out of the three melee turrets (Firebird, Freeze, Isida), guess what? Firebird has the lowest damage per second of the three turrets. Why is this? Because it depends on it's burning effect to deal damage. Removing the burning effect but not increasing direct damage would essentially kill Firebird, which is what Heat Immunity is doing. Its why Cold Immunity doesn't nerf Freeze as much as Heat Immunity nerfs Firebird. Freeze has the damage to make up with it. Cold Immunity doesn't remove any of Freeze's damage because the freezing effect doesn't do any damage in the first place. Heat Immunity on the other hand, takes a huge chunk of Firebird's damage output away, and as such is why I consider Normal Firebird and Compact Tanks Firebird as the worst turrets in the game right now. They don't have the damage to be able to kill enemies as easily as the other melee turrets, or any other turret. (And don't forget Firebird Protection Modules are one of the most used modules in the game) Overall, I'll have to say the most overpowered things of 2020 are Augments and Gauss' EMP alteration. Vulcan's Incendiary Band is balanced had it not been for Augments.
  2. Well around the 2018-2019 period, players wanted hulls to have "Alterations" like the turrets did. Not "Augments" lol. One of the most frequent suggestions I saw at the time was being able to change the overdrive effect, and switch the effects of a hull with another. Like allow Wasp to pierce armor instead of dropping bombs, or Viking to have all supplies activated instead of fast reload, etc. Many people also suggested health boosts in exchange for speed reduction, and similar. Basically....unlike today's Hull Augments, with all their "Immunities", players originally thought Hulls would get alterations that would boost one stat, but weaken another stat, to maintain overall game balance.

    Festive season

I don't know if "checking (opening) the special missions section in order to complete the mission" is still a thing, but yeah.
  4. I know XD I was thinking if the alt had existed, it would be more like 10% more health, 10% less speed or something Not as drastic as say, 50% more health, 50% less speed XD.
  5. I agree. On my Vulcan account, I manage to kill at least 2 enemies before the overheating starts. (This does not take into the repair kit effect the enemies sometimes use). Vulcan is just really powerful this year XD
  6. Ohhh, so basically a reverse Adrenaline Augment for Vulcan. Only you must be overheating at the same time you're losing health for it to take effect? Also, the Vulcan before January 2020 actually did less damage while it was overheating. This was removed when Vulcan was reworked to the version we know today. It wasn't as drastic as doing up to 0 damage, but it was similar to your idea. Oh yeah, Vulcan was at it's worst during 2019 cause of the damage dropoff (reduction) it had when overheating. Of course, Vulcan at the time was generally bad (probably worst turret in the game), so....who knows? Your idea may be balanced if used on the 2020 Vulcan.
  7. Well, originally, when the community wanted Hull Alterations, they were expecting alterations like... Less health, more speed or... More health, less speed or... Interchangeable overdrive abilities (ex. a Hunter that drops a Titan shield instead of firing an emp blast) Not these "Immunities" we're getting nowadays. But yeah, I get your idea. It would take a while for it to be implemented cause we have like....over 100 augments/alterations in the game, but it would work.

    Graphics Flash vs HTML5

Wanna know what bothered me the most? The Christmas Tree in the New Year versions of Alexsandrovsk, Yorkshire, and Forest. It wasn't lit, even if I turned on all the graphics settings.

    Festive season

1 million percent Agreed! I was just pointing out that a f2p player has the ability to capture flags lol (if they ever manage to have the chance in battle), compared to dropping golds where not all f2p players can do (cause you have to either buy golds with real money or try your luck with containers lol)
  10. Tanker-Arthur

    Festive season

In the past, yes. But currently, none of the special missions reward goldboxes. (Or at least they don't guarantee goldboxes for rewards - there's a small chance you can get some from the Ultra Containers that the missions reward, but its a slight chance) And the current challenge doesn't award goldboxes either. (Its been a couple months now since goldboxes were removed from challenges) I had 25 golds (before I dropped them to finish the special mission), but some of my friends have no golds at all, so they won't be able to finish the Supermission even if they tried.

Well. The time has come. After more than 6 years of playing, I finally did it!

Most Annoying Combos in Tanki Today

Here are the most annoying combos in the game I've seen in the recent months: Vulcan with the Heat Immunity Augment Vulcan with Heat Immunity Augment and Incendiary Band Alteration Gauss with any hull Gauss with the Electromagnetic Salvo Alteration - Honestly, the developers did a good job nerfing Hammer's Duplet and Striker's Uranium, alts that dominated 2019 (as well as Firebird's Compact Tanks which dominated 2018). Why can't they do the same for this Gauss alt? Mouse-Control Hoppers with one of the following turrets equipped: Smoky, Thunder, Magnum, and Gauss Hopper with the Crisis Drone Titan in Siege Mode - Its not as "annoying" in most game modes and its not a "combo", but in Siege mode, they are extremely annoying to deal with and the team that wins is usually the team with more Titans. Magnum with the Armor Piercing Core Augment Anyone with the Defender Drone Special shout-out to Gauss, which out-performs and outclasses the following turrets: Shaft Striker Thunder

    Festive season

Yes, it's relatively easy.....however, unlike missions that require you to capture flags, or use supplies, this mission forces you to obtain goldboxes by either buying them with real money, or being really lucky and earning a set of golds from a container. If a f2p player opens containers and doesn't get any golds, their chances of earning 5 Ultra Containers and 15 Regular Containers from the "Supermission: Dreams Come True" are practically zero. Anyone can capture flags or buy 21 supplies from the garage to finish the other missions, but not everyone can obtain goldboxes to drop.

    Festive season

That Gentle Elf mission is proof Tanki devs are just doing these for buyers.
  15. Tanker-Arthur

    Modifiers (temporary name)

I hope these will be widely available to everyone. (ie. uncommon/rare drops from regular containers) We already have a balance problem with the buyer-friendly hull augments.

    Devs+poll

    Cough, cough hull augments
  17. Pro battles are more pay-to-win. Why? Because your enemy has the time to play pro battles. Most casual players either play parkour, or only do missions. Also, enemies tend to change their equipment much more often in pro battles, and the more f2p players who usually don't have much equipment tend to stray from pro battles. (Mainly, Protection Modules. Those that seem to always have that 50% module against ya no matter what turret you equip are either a] a veteran or b] a buyer)

    Gift Cards

Say I have a 30 dollar gift card. I want to buy a 7 dollar tankcoin pack in the shop using the gift card. Than I see the highlighted text: Does this mean that, if I use a 30 dollar gift card to buy like, a 7 dollar item, it would take all 30 dollars from the gift card? Meaning the gift card will be useless after the 7 dollar purchase? Or will I still have 23 dollars left on the gift card, which I can then use to buy something at say, my local supermarket?
  19. Tanker-Arthur

    Containers

Oh! This happens to me as well. Basically, if you got poor/unstable internet, the container won't look like it opened, but in reality, your account receives the items inside the container. However, since you won't know exactly what you got, you need to check all of your paints, turret alterations, hull augments, skins, supply counts, crystal counts, etc to see what was obtained. And yes, it can be a pain, so I just forget about it and only check it for the equipment I use, in case I got a new shot effect for my Striker, or etc. Of course, this is what I know from my experience, but who knows? Your problem may be entirely different.

    Trading with a special pass

Its a great idea, and I hope it gets added someday. We shouldn't even be able to earn stuff like augments for equipment we don't even own in the first place.

    Festive season

The 21 repair kits mission was yesterday bro. You just missed it. After yesterday, the mission was removed and replaced with 21 double armors.

    Let's Discuss Crusader!

AGREED! I don't know if it's just me, but the only reason why it's as wide as a medium hull is because of the two turbine things sticking out from the sides. Remove them, and Crusader looks to be only slightly larger than Hornet.
  23. Tanker-Arthur

    Let's Discuss Crusader!

I came across a couple lol. I can't say if it's overpowered or not because they were always on my team XD
  24. Tanker-Arthur

    Let's Discuss Crusader!

So, this is the first hull that cannot have it's overdrive disabled by Hunter. Besides Juggernaut of course. But that doesn't count as a real hull. And honestly, I don't consider Hover Hulls to be real hulls either, but here we are.
