Refreshing a lost connection does not address the fact that it was lost in the first place, nor does it account for the fact that while you patiently wait to re-join, your standing is going down and down with each second. That might not matter to those that spend all game in last place, but 1st place in a CTF is blown once connection is lost. The fact that many are having connection problems now and never had them before over last year or more, says there is something wrong.

Your missing the point. Those that make money and spend that kind of cash in virtual worlds do so themselves. The GAME doesn't charge that much, and it is certainly NOT normal, those are rare exceptions. Also, does Entropia Universe, the topic of your link, have a buggy, exploitable game engine that allows some people to reap huge benefits at the cost of other players? Yeah, didn't think so. Please show me an online world where real money is used and has been exploited so that cheaters make money in-game and then buy stuff with their ill-gotten gains. You know, like when a bot or bots jump into a CTF game with thousands of crystals at stake, and nuke everyone until they leave then take all the crystals. That has happened to me here in Tanki. Thats what you get for "earning" crystals instead of paying cash. What I'd like to know is this: why pay cash to gain an advantage, what's the point as long as the game itself is exploitable? Bugs / hacks / connection problems, and you think $160 is reasonable for a simple in-game upgrade? LOL wow... :roll: :shock: :evil:

yes, its obvious Tankionline is having bandwidth issues or something. Many people are having connection issues.

Many , including myself, have had this problem and connection problems in general. I have not heard any response regarding if anything is being done about it. The only thing I have seen is the same old tried-but-doesn't-work "clear cache and cookies" etc advice

I am in US and the connection from here is unplayable as of late. Most games end up disconnecting before the end. For the developers, Hint: Display the lag between the player and the server BEFORE they join a game (in the list) so games can be sorted by connection quality, and then people wont bother joining games that have huge lag or bad connections. :roll:

Cool, I hope it gets fixed soon. Obviously this is a critical exploit that is ruining the game. I think there are so many complaints now because its happening so much.

same happened to me, but I was in second place with over 2200 points and to leave and rejoin means losing hours of my playing time + all those points. They know it, its used to stick it to those winning. Be warned, dont play the long games of like 999 flags etc, don't waste your time, Tanki has not fixed this, and hackers are exploiting it to rack up huge crystal funds and they know they can come back in at anytime and just nuke everyone on the other team until they quit. Then they harvest the needed flags and take all the crystals. Its a scam! Be warned!

i don`t like to drug but it`s part of the game and we have to deal with it. it`s annoying when you play capture the flag and are one or to person short and they still attack fully druged. but that`s life and life ain`t fair. I agree with dingus, plus don't you hate it when some idiots drug up and then go on a flag harvest when the battle fund is like 25? I mean what is the point then... no one benefis because the battle fund is how you get crystals for winning. It is idiotic and those that win like that just prove what noobs they are. However, is IS part of the game and , oh well.... :roll:

Your so full of it, you have 9000 wealth and I assume you have played more than 9 days (3 hours of play / 1000 crystals x 9) To get 1000 in 3 hours you need to be earning 5.55 crystals per minute, no breaks, no reloads, no changing servers etc, for 3 hours. Kinda hard to believe Even if your skilled, try "earning" 30,000 or so and I'll see you next year :P The problem with noobs as you called them isn't those that earn their way, but those that buy their way. When a kid can sign up, grab mommies purse and just buy the best of everything and then blast away with no skill is what makes this game tiring after a while. Oh and Aventis... you have earned 4768 wealth, hardly a huge sum and certainly not enough to buy the good stuff :roll:

yes, and then the magical crystal fairies will give you 12,000 to buy a decent paint / armor... get real playing this game a few hours a day might net you as much as 200 crystals. In my personal experience, a person can net around 50 crystals per hour (earned) 12,000 crystals / 50 = 240 hours. 240 hours for a simple paint job, that's just stupid. As soon as the little kids that buy crystals can't steal from mommy, Tanki stops making money. You should be able to earn your way up, but its just not possible the way its calculated right now.

Just jump in right before the server restart and grab some serious crystals :) If your on the winning side, and those that have been playing for hours have racked up a sizable battle fund, grab your share by playing the last hour or so before the server restart.... heh (of note... last game I played had a server restart that didn't award anything, this should get interesting now... what a bunch of *%$^&, I mean, lets see how many people play for hours NOW) :roll: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Those that EARN their crystals should get some respect over those that BUY their stuff, IMHO

Ok, I was just in a CTF Fort Knox II game , no time limit , 88 flags needed, and it was like 38 - 25 or so, and the "server restart" happened.... and it just ended and restarted!!!! WTF? There was like 700-800 crystals in the battle fund!!!!! I was on the winning side and ranked around 4th or so.... where did the crystals go? No Crystals Awarded at all.....what a waste of time! it's a scam! Tanki could be fun if the game would ever be stable and stop changing at will.... what a joke, now games with over 700 crystals at stake can just "end" and no one gets anything? wow, SCAM!

Good tip, but some tips should be kept quiet about :) I mean now everyone will be doing that and watch the load right before the server update......

How about allowing ANYONE to BUY m5 weapons, but then force them to wear diapers and carry around a rattle :P

The mods can do nothing about the internet lag. That is a function of server capability and capacity. The owners/admins need to improve their servers. Right about the mods can't do anything, but it's most likely lag from bad ping times / too many hops to the server. The servers need to be co-located around the world so there is always a server with a good ping time for everyone. I said it before, they need to list the ping time to the server so each player can determine if its playable or not BEFORE they join, plus auto-kick anyone with BAD ping times to server. It's kinda networking 101 :roll:
