Seems like a Spam sales pitch, but perhaps you can pitch it to the support team and see if they like it. My personal opinion is that these are redundant services and that Forums tend to work just fine. -

Excellent!!! I didn't mean you had 158 kills, I meant Mehdadoo... I looked him up and it said he has 158 kills, hehe You got my position beat! You have more kills at a lower rank than me, nice job!

BTW - The recent fixes applied seem to be helping with lag, :D :D :D its not gone, but its almost gone, and I don't see any most the time now. Others in games have said its better, or a few still seem to complain about lag. So whatever was done recently - Good Job!!!!

It would be nice if we had way to place signatures in our profile, that way we could use that flash banner in it and we would not have to manually paste the code in every post we make. It is pretty standard for forums to have signature fields for users.

Calm down there buddy, This has been reported over a thousand times? Great then there should be much to talk about with all these complaints being reported :) Perhaps some of us are not mind readers and would like to know these things are being worked on, status reports, etc, esp if they are bugs that have been here for a long long time. When the game gets to be unplayable, "stay patient" means "go away". No one will play unusable games with lag for very long, my friend. If you read this thread then you saw my comment about the bug report tool directing us to discuss all other bugs and fixes in the forum. If you don't wish to discuss bugs, then don't but please don't tell us not to discuss them. The game itself tells us to do so. Don't take MY word for it, or even the game itself, Mehdadoo, listen to the Administrator..... What you missed, Mehdadoo, is that Mikhail said they were applying fixes to 2 problems that should help with the lag over the next few days. That is information WE WANT to know. That happens by DISCUSSING the issues. Please show me where Lag is being discussed in English (besides MY threads), or where these problems have been posted thousands of times? The fixes seemed to help. At first it seems like it did fix everything, but I have started to notice the same lag issues coming back and that's called FEEDBACK. Feedback is a good thing and I wish you would not discourage it here. If you understood game development, not just Flash and XML, you would understand Forums are used so people can discuss bugs as an on going basis. Any good game is developed this way. Look at this for example: STALKER FORUM They have 16000 posts just about single player bugs. Also multiplayer bugs etc etc. I could go on and on about this, but trust me, you are confused. Wrong, the forum is not your exclusive place, its for us all, and some of us want to post about bugs and performance issues. Period. Accept it. A discussion is an argument only when you stop listening to the other person friend! You have 158 kills, I have over 4700 kills, all by earning them. In 3 weeks. I have never bought a crystal. Perhaps if you PLAYED the game, you would notice some of the bugs :P <object width="468" height="120"><param name="movie" value="http://s7.tankionline.com/tankiref.swf"></param><param name="flashvars" value="hash=c45422388&server=s7.tankionline.com" /><embed src="http://s7.tankionline.com/tankiref.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="468" height="120" flashvars="hash=c45422388&server=s7.tankionline.com"></embed></object>

REPOSTED: New Bug - Low Framerates
panzer-runner replied to panzer-runner in REPOSTED: New Bug - Low Framerates Archive
I have contacted Mikhail, and he assured me it was just a mistake and he did not intend to delete my thread. I appreciate his response to my concerned PM. -
This is why these threads should not be closed or deleted. I just tried playing a CTF game, and despite the fact that the lag issue has been better, it is NOT fixed. It was not AS bad as before, but there was still people jumping around / time shift, and other crazy stuff that looks like lag. Overall, I'd say it is getting better, but its not completely fixed and people will still see lag issues. In one game, it was as bad as ever, fully frozen for seconds at a time, chaos!!

Who Deleted MY thread??????
panzer-runner replied to panzer-runner in Who Deleted MY thread?????? Archive
I had a thread here about low framerates on Firefox. I put alot of effort into it, testing it etc and some ***hole deletes it? Thats a violation of the terms of this forum isnt it? Will someone get banned for this? This place is unbelievable! What Right does anyone have to DELETE MY THREAD. It was a valid thread describing a known problem! I want to know who the F did this! This Forum CANNOT be trusted if deleting your threads and renaming threads is common. This place is amateurish and full of incompetence! No one in their right mind will play this game if this is how its run. period. Update: apparently my thread was deleted by accident... :? so I reposted it, but my anger is with the fact that I have never seen a Forum where threads are renamed, deleted and people told not to talk about bugs.... Since this was just a mistake, I apologize for my outburst, but I certainly hope these "mistakes" stop, and respect for peoples opinions becomes more common. -
-
That makes sense, and I hope this is the way things get done from now on. When someone has a problem, they should post it in the forum and hope someone can help. They can also PM Support so they will know about the problem. Its hard to get a game to be bug-free and of course people will have patience as long as we know what is going on and what is being fixed etc.
-
Certainly NOT. Nyet, No, Not until the Lag problems are resolved for more than a day! Lets hope that happens and we can move on
-
Yes, I am sure. I never lost internet connection, I could still see others playing for a while, and I could connect to the main page.... <object width="468" height="120"><param name="movie" value="http://s7.tankionline.com/tankiref.swf"></param><param name="flashvars" value="hash=c45422388&server=s7.tankionline.com" /><embed src="http://s7.tankionline.com/tankiref.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="468" height="120" flashvars="hash=c45422388&server=s7.tankionline.com"></embed></object>

They need to let us have signatures in our profile so we don't have to manually place this at the end of our messages!
-
No, I think we will continue to write about our problems here. That is what the game directs us to do if you hit the bug report button, "All other bugs and fixes are discussed at the forum" That is what forums are for in the rest of the world, and I don't think we will change just because the game developers don't want to keep us informed. They know there are problems, and I have been told they are working on them, but I refuse to only send private messages since that would hide all the problems. You see, there are thousands of people who will read these thrads before bothering to play the game, or even CONSIDER paying money to the game. If they see how many problems still exist, they might just wait until they are fixed. I recommend the developers get the bugs fixed, and keep us informed if they ever want to make $$$

It seems like the lag on servers has gotten so bad every night lately, its unplayable. Is anything being done about it? One big problem is that the list of games doesnt show your ping to it, also in the game you have no idea what your ping is or anyone elses. The games also don't seem to kick anyone out for havibg too high of a ping. The result.... laggy, buggy servers and frozen games with people glitching and jumping everywhere. We have all seen it. But what is happening that it seems like its bad every night now? It's funny how the main page tankionline.com has no problems connecting. Here is my ping to it: PING www.tankionline.com (62.152.60.170): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 62.152.60.170: icmp_seq=0 ttl=46 time=161.249 ms 64 bytes from 62.152.60.170: icmp_seq=1 ttl=46 time=167.382 ms 64 bytes from 62.152.60.170: icmp_seq=2 ttl=46 time=161.469 ms 64 bytes from 62.152.60.170: icmp_seq=3 ttl=46 time=167.634 ms 64 bytes from 62.152.60.170: icmp_seq=4 ttl=46 time=162.503 ms The games, however, are unplayable. I guess my days of playing this game are almost over. It's just no fun and really, really, unplayable. On a related note: why would I pay good money to play on such horrible laggy servers? I mean, come on, if you expect someone to pay you, I expect you have a playable game. (I have never bought anything here and prob never will at this rate, I can't trust it. Period)

We appreciate your efforts, and your English is certainly better than my Russian ;) lol What we really need around here is for the developers who work on the game to pop-in sometimes and give us an update on the status of various bugs / problems. Or Advice on fixing problems and such. I'm not even clear on whether or not this game is still in beta or is it supposed to be a fully functioning game? (there is money involved so I'd hate to think its still beta) Thank you though, Mikhail

Should have won, servers crashed
panzer-runner replied to panzer-runner in Should have won, servers crashed Archive
How is this for frustrating: I was playing a fort knox II CTF game, and winning, for well over an hour. It was a 20 Flag game, and we were winning 19 - 3. It was so laggy that everything was jumping everywhere, but I still ended up with the flag and was sitting on the base waiting for the server to start working properly. I was already in 1st place on the winning side, and with the flag on the base, but it never accepted the flag OR the win. it just froze... after some time, it disconnected me from the game, and then when I looked all servers were down. Boy, thanks for cheating me out of hard earned crystals, AND wasting hours of my life :( These laggy servers are frustrating, I hope things improve soon. Here are some screenshots that show exactly what I mean: proof that I was the winner (with flag 20 of 20 on base) : Proof the server disconnected with no reason: proof ALL servers were down after that -
I couldn't agree more! Well said. Let me add I also feel Raaish's frustration with problems seemingly going on without being addressed. Forums are usually the main tool a community has to be kept informed of bugs, discuss them, come up with suggestions etc. It is also a way for developers and game management to keep players informed of status of various bugs, updates etc. That doesnt happen very often here it seems. People obviously have problems with this game, as much as we like it, it is unreliable. Players take time to post their experiences and look for help and understanding. They want to know they are not the only ones, and want to know something is being done about it.

from this thread I just thought I'd point out the fact that ignore is spelled with an "e". As in Ignore, not ignor.

Bugs, Bugs, and now Bugs with reporting Bugs
panzer-runner replied to panzer-runner in Bugs, Bugs, and now Bugs with reporting Bugs Archive
Well, I wont bother with ALL the bugs lately, but beside horrible lag, and all the other bugs, here is a new one on me. I was playing a ctf map that was not registering crystals after I got them. I got like 6 crystals before I noticed it was not counting them. The game was not lagging or frozen either! Then I left and joined another game and after entering for a second , I got an error message saying "fatal error" and please send bug report. So I hit the bug report button, and get the following message: you cannot send bug reports... blah blah blah... great! The game has gotten really buggy lately, and now it seems like the bug reporting tool is buggy! PS - I think it says something about the development team when a sticky thread was set up to report and discuss bugs under the title "Attention! If you have any problems - write here" and it gets locked and we are told to pm or email bugs. It's almost like they don't want people to see how many bugs there are! Why should we have to privately send bugs rather than publicly post them? That is what FORUMS are FOR! Are we supposed to just deal with, and hide bugs and problems now? Even better that they do this to the few English speaking members who can't discuss things on the Russian threads. :( :( :(
