It seems like the physics is different now. I used to be able to block others with my wasp m3 if I wanted, and now I just get bullied and pushed all over the place. I have M3, and it doesn't seem as fast, and anyone can just roll me over at will. That sucks! Wasp is weak armor but it used to be a tactic to block and hold while firing etc and skill made up for weak tank, now its useless compared to before. -
I agree, there are friendly Fire games that well, lead to people killing their team mates on purpose. Don't join those. What I hate are the idiots that can't drive and block paths or push you off ledges etc. Those guys I have no problem making their lives miserable until they leave :)

I know what you mean, it is part of the game and physics tho. On the other hand, I stopped playing lately because they changed the physics in the game it seems. I use wasp / smokey and used to use my smokey to unbalance people and now its not as strong, while my wasp m3 gets bullied all over by EVERYONE. I mean it's just crazy. I used to be able to block for example and now I just get pushed back or rolled over. Its stupid. Must be fun to try and play for the first time and everyone out there uses dictator or whatever and you just get pushed around and quit. Real Fun :roll:

How about stop changing the strengths and weaknesses of various tanks / weapons so it is actually fair, and not just randomly make changes?

Yours is a great point :D I actually did switch to Safari and have no problems doing so, in fact its every bit as fast as Firefox used to be. I recommend anyone using a Mac to use Safari or Chrome to play Tanki Online. My point in making this thread was to address a problem that popped up a few days ago after a couple of fixes they applied. Let's face it, Firefox is a favorite browser of many people and it gets more popular on the Mac everyday. If there is a problem playing the game with Firefox, it needs to be addressed, I think. If the guys who design Tanki Online don't care about people who use Firefox... oh well, that's their loss then. Can you imagine if say.. Facebook or something were to just say.. "oh, who cares about Firefox, just use something else" hahaha. They don't because it's the wrong attitude and it would cost them reputation and $$$$

I would tend to agree with that, but they change stuff on you after you buy things. Like making isida stronger then making it weaker, or how about the fact that someone might not choose the twins because it was weak, then after you spend your crystals on something else, they go and make twins stronger. :roll:

:lol: :lol: :lol: I understand someone screwed up and does not realize there is now a hit to the framerates in Firefox for Mac. You hate to talk to me? Then don't post a useless reply in MY thread about a problem this game has unless you have any information that applies. This thread is for people to discuss whether or not there is a problem with frame rates and firefox specifically after the new fixes were applied regarding lag. To post useless garbage about how this engine is the fastest blah blah blah is irrelevant if there is a problem. Did you address my points about firefox vs chrome vs safari, Mehadoodoo? No you didn't, you rude little man. You simply disregarded my points and spout off about how good the engine is and mistakenly thought there was no acceleration available for Flash. I corrected you sir. You edited your post because you were wrong. You still have not addressed my question about Mac Firefox and low framerates, which I know happens. Safari and Chrome do not have these low framerates. I am 40 years old and I was writing code when you were being born, you 19 year old little man, so please do not make yourself look stupid by name calling, and being arrogant. If you are a developer for Tanki Online, then that explains why there are so many problems. Look, Mehdadoo, you don't even read my posts, or you don't understand english. I know your english is not so good, so I'll say this ......s l o w l y. I am talking about what seems like a BUG. Get it? Please try reading my post again until you understand. This happened when the lag "fixes" were applied or whatever a few days ago... The frame rates USED TO BE FINE, always fine, in fact, before the last fixes were applied, they were 20-30 fps I am not making this stuff up. I would think you and the developers would want to know about problems so they can be looked at and fixed! 1) Firefox for Mac WAS 20-30 FPS,----------> NOW its 7-9 FPS 2) Safari for Mac WAS 20-30 FPS, ----------> now it's still 20-30 FPS 3) Chrome for Mac WAS 20-30 FPS, ---------> now it's still 20-30 FPS See the patten? It has a problem with MAC Firefox somehow. Do you have a Macbook Pro with OSX to test with?... if so try playing using the latest Firefox, and latest Flash and help instead of spouting off about how good everything is. Also I am glad to see a developer such as your self so uneducated about Flash, by the way. Flash 10.1 has hardware acceleration for video h.264 and GPU usage. Well.. hmm :? :? This is not getting better, nor have I heard anything from support. I have updated everything, and its the same, Firefox for Mac has low framerates. 7-9 fps is not playable and it used to be fine. Safari works, but most people use Firefox. Does anyone else have a Mac or this problem? Is support aware of this or what? While a new webpage design might look nice, a playable game would be better I think. While no one expects things to get fixed instantly, after days of this and sending a PM to support, I have heard nothing back at all.

This sucks! I just played a game with like 50% or more m3 twins and m3 dictators and besides being overpowered and unfair, it is annoying to have to listen to the blam blam blam of the twins from 8 people 100% of the time with no let up. I guess this game will be perpetually changed. I mean how can people be expected to spend money or earn crystals for specific tanks and accessories if they just go and change things at will??? How fair is THAT? Whats next... oh now that you spent all your crystals on an M3 Rail, we decided to give a "kill all with one key" option for those with red armour......lol Obviously everyone got the memo considering how many have twins / dictator now. How can smokey kill that combo ever if 1) they have so much armor it takes many shots from far 2) the twins do a lot of damage 3) most importantly, the twins slam you around so much you cant aim against them like Raaish said If they didn't slam you around so much, you COULD have a chance from far away, but even far away I get moved with just one hit right now I wish the developers would spend more time on bugs and playability than on messing around with these things.

What does everyone think of the new look? I like it. It does tend to load a bit slowly for a main page, imho, the old one was fast and clean.

Chrome does work nicely indeed, I agree, but it will not have any affect on lag. Lag is due to either traffic congestion, or server overload. BTW - Raaish, do you use Firefox on windows? or Mac?

Right. If there were different servers located in different places geographically, people could go to, or be directed to servers with better pings and lag may not be a problem then. -
Well, when I originally saw this I had no idea what was going on, since then I answered my own question by realizing it is horrible lag, and we have all seen this repeatedly. Its just I had never before experienced an online game that lags so bad this happens. It's weird.

I have seen this happen often, just wait, it is the only thing you can do :( I just tried to play and while it loaded slowly, it I did get into a game (then left immediately because Firefox for Mac is only getting like 7 fps in games)

Still horrible lag, unplayable again tonight :( I tried, but give me a break already... this is not ready for primetime. lag so bad that the game will freeze for 30 sec to over a minute and then "catch up" with people getting flags etc all magically because no one is in sync, most likely because the servers don't care if one person has a ping of 25ms and the next 1800ms. But, who knows, right? :roll: I tried with Firefox (windows) and Opera (windows) same bad results BTW - I tried to ping another site based in Moscow, and no problems with connection, so it has to be the code of the game, or the servers themselves.
