    Tanki's Suicide

...what? And you know this how exactly? You spy on their office and check whether or not they play their game? Their only mistake was announcing Overdrives too early and giving a deadline to the players, which they then failed to meet multiple times and kept disappointing us with more and more delays. That's what happens when they "leak" information about things which are still work in progress. What they're doing is right. They don't want to release yet another bugged and unfinished update like some of the updates we got previously, which is why they are making absolutely sure that there are no significant bugs upon release. The latest V-log explained this very well. Unless you have experience creating software in Flash, I don't think you have the right to evaluate their competence.

    Tanki: Are. you. listening?

What you don't understand is that when there's seemingly a lot of complaints after an update, it does not mean that more people are leaving. First of all, the majority of those screaming "tanki has become unplayable, I QUIT" end up coming back to the game anyway after a few days/weeks/months. Second, the reason there's almost always more complaints than positive comments is because people have no reason to praise an update when they like it - they just quietly play the game. But if people don't like an update, then they will complain. let's say there's an update that's loved by 50% and hated by the other 50%. If you look at the forum topic for such an update, you'll probably find 90% of the comments complaining about it, because the 50% that liked the update has nothing to say and they just play the game. Therefore judging how well received an update is by the ratio of negative to positive comments is inaccurate. Now the third and most important point is that updates, no matter if good or bad, help keep the game alive. Regardless of what you and I think, the truth is that if a game has no updates, people have no reason to complain, so they just get bored and quietly leave. If developers would stop making changes completely, of course they would have no more complaints about "bad updates", but the number of players would go down even faster because people wouldn't have anything new to keep them in the game. And that's why the game needs changes to survive. If during the "golden days" (2014, 2015 or whatever) devs just decided that the game has reached its final state and left it as is without ever making another update, Tanki would be dead (and I mean completely dead) long ago.

    Tanki: Are. you. listening?

Your title violated the Game Rules. Specifically, rule 2.4.11.3 The moderators are here to keep the forum tidy and remove violations. Think twice before accusing them of power abuse. If you still believe that any of your posts were change/removed and didn't break any rules, please message myself or @CooperO via PM instead of complaining about it publicly (which is also against the rules).

I don't deny that players are leaving and the game is becoming less popular. No one is denying that and the player numbers DO prove it. What they DON'T prove is that players are leaving because of bad updates. You have no way of proving this and the fact that the numbers are reducing just correlates with developers releasing updates, but does not necessarily conclude that the updates are causing numbers to drop. Back in 1600s the majority believed that the Earth was flat and the sun was going around it. Does that mean that it's the truth?

Just because the majority says so does not mean it's the truth.

    Tanki: Are. you. listening?

You really have to stop treating that Trends data as the solid proof of developers' success (or lack thereof). I said this countless times before - the game is almost 10 years old, and was originally just a software demo made by a tiny company with ZERO previous game development history. The fact that it got popular at all is amazing, and the fact that it turned into one of the biggest online games in Russia, and gained millions of users is just incredible. There is no way it would last forever, since most players move on to different games after a while. Tanki is outdated, and there are plenty of newer, similar games which were better developed. I don't see how a 10 year old indie game could ever NOT lose players, regardless of how great the updates are. It's hard to say what kind of alternatives development path this game could have, but the most likely fact is that if devs didn't do the updates that happened in the last few years, the game would either lose players faster, or become unprofitable. Both of these outcomes would result in a rapid shutdown of the project.
  8. This may be true, but you greatly overestimate how much the rating affected the player retention. A lot of things were changed in the game in the past few years, and most of them were much more significant that removal of an arbitrary number from the EXP bar. I can't speak for everyone else, but I personally never bothered with the rating, never kept track of it, and never cared about other players' rating or compared mine to theirs. And I still don't.
  9. Because a kick system is intended to be used against players who violate the rules?
  10. Valid But it's just a number. I doubt that many people would pay attention to it. Also, by ranking you mean "effectiveness", right? I'm pretty sure it was shown there before, but got replaced with GS.
  11. I don't think it should be removed. Making Juggernaut stronger instead would probably be more fun.

    New Striker XT Bundle

Freeze was added before the graphics update, so it does have a "Legacy" skin. The only turrets which never had an older skin are the ones mentioned by gio_the_killer: Vulcan, Magnum, Striker and Hammer. The rest of the turrets and all 7 hulls will probably have Legacy skins added eventually.
  15. Hmm, never had this issue. I changed mine to "+" and it stays there.
  16. It's literally a valid strategy, as said by developers and players multiple times in many places. Gold boxes are supply, and they give you an advantage in battles, albeit not in a direct way like the other supplies. I used golds myself like this a few times, and in some cases it actually worked.
  17. I realise that ideas in larger topics are never looked at, but I also don't see the need to take up space with topics for minor ideas which don't generate much discussion anyway. And we always allow at least a few days for the idea to be discussed in its own topic before it gets merged into the bigger topic. Your idea went through the same process. And @Hate does a great job at updating the first post of these category topics when he merges, so your idea is listed in the full list of MM ideas in the first post, along with many others.
