I'm sure that rebellions, conspiracy theories and revolutions are exciting, but unfortunately (or fortunately?) I have to tell you that you misunderstand how it works. Tanki online and AlternativaGames (the publisher of Tanki) aren't some kind of totalitarian government that seeks to oppress and control the people. They are a private company, and as such, they have every right to make up the rules for the users. So when you, the user, sign up to use their service (the game, forums, etc.), you agree to follow the Game Rules and the EULA. If you don't agree, then you can simply stop using the service and find a different community where the rules are less strict. You didn't give any specific examples in your post, so I don't know how anything you say could be used against you, unless what you say directly violates the game rules. The rules are here to keep this community child-friendly and to help organise the discussion by moving content to its right place and removing unnecessary posts. If you wish to complain about moderation procedures and/or believe that a particular helper abused their power, feel free to contact the respective administrator. You can also complain about issues not related to moderation in the Complaint Book. This particular post is being locked because of rules 2.4.11.2, 2.3.2 and 2.3.21. Closed.

There are much better ideas for helping with team balance in uneven matches. An earthquake seems like an unreliable and chaotic way of doing it. Having it tied into game balance so heavily would be difficult to implement. Much better, less extreme ideas include: Disable flags and points when teams are unbalanced Losing team gets overdrive quicker Larger team has restricted supplies Now that sounds more reasonable. I'll merge this with a duplicate topic

I absolutely agree!

The building hitboxes are fine. They rarely get in the way (sometimes when you play with Magnum). The much more annoying thing is the dead tank hitbox, which is way larger than the model. But I think it's a massive pain to fix it in Flash, so they might only do it once the game is fully migrated to HTML5.
-
As far as I know, those limits apply only to PRO battles. In MM they might be theoretically unlimited.
-
The game will be fully converted to HTML5. With the exception of some errors in the interface, the HTML version works almost perfectly already.
-
Matchmaking rank brackets are flexible and depend on the amount of players queuing for MM. If there are lots of players and many share your rank, then the rank brackets will be small. But if there aren't enough players, then to shorten waiting times MM expands the brackets to fill the battle. As far as I know there is no limit to how far it can expand.

I get how you want it to affect gameplay, but what I'm asking is how is this feature an improvement? All it does is add an RNG element to gameplay that does nothing other than to annoy players. It might have a nice novelty factor the first few times you encounter it, but after a while it will be merely annoying.
-
You need to explain why this is good for the game, because so far it seems like it would be nothing more than an occasional nuisance.

Topic merged Sounds simple, but in reality this would require more effort than anything developers have ever done before. Implementing it probably wouldn't be difficult, but getting the data and algorithms required to accurately auto-translate text requires insane amounts of funding. Absolutely not worth it.

Apparently not. According to devs, they lost way more players during the 2015 phase of no updates than during any other phase in the game, including the times when a lot of players complained about updates.

10 flags is a stretch, since the field only lasts about 20 seconds. But I'm telling you - in CTF a couple flags are often enough to win. A single mammoth that uses two overdrives in one game can quite easily capture those two flags, especially if they have an Isida and other teammates helping. Scoring goals in Rugby is ridiculously easy, stealing flags in CTF will be a bit more challenging. But it's still way too OP compared to the other overdrives.

Yes, for Viking4s French is his native language.

Well... You're not wrong. Tanki was always an arcade game, and it was always had a futuristic dystopian theme. And it is indeed online.

I spent 4 hours playing with Mammoth yesterday. Maybe it's a lot different and more balanced at M3 and lower, but with M4 getting golds and capping flags/balls has never been easier. It's insane!

1 - "спс" "мда" means "thx" and sort of like a disappointed sigh. 2 - Insults 3 - Isida thx for the game 4 - ZloyDanuJI got it right 5 - Vulcan is dead oh actually [banned for flood]

Alright, that's a solid point. I just estimated it based on what I saw. Still, considering the massive scale of this update and how much it changes gameplay, the end result is pretty good. All they need to do now is nerf Mammoth's OD, or at least make Hunter stop it.

Oh, it really looked like you were using one. Anyway, it's best to avoid guessing, or at least mention which ones you're not sure about.

We've been thinking of making a topic like this when we created a new section, but decided it was unnecessary. But seeing that you created the topic and people are actively posting here (these posts were moved), we now made the topic, so you can find it here. Also, the title you came up with is way better than anything we had in mind, so thanks :) Closed.

We already have plenty of places where you can share your impressions of overdrives: Tanki Picture of the Day Let's Discuss Overdrives Overdrives official announcement Please post overdrive pictures there. Closed.

Nah, I didn't care much for the gold box. I just really enjoyed the visual effect and it made me laugh hard when I saw that. You do have a point, since it's true that most players will react positively to an update if it benefits them in particular (even if it's bad for others), but in this case you'll find that the update is getting a lot more positive feedback than usual. Most players are saying that the update works very well and is actually quite balanced.
