planned Ability to kick players from your own private battles
Maf replied to King_Khan_143 in Ideas and Suggestions
Yes, parkour and private battles. This feature would be fine there since there's no battle fund, so a player being kicked does not lose anything and the battle creator doesn't get any personal gain from kicking people from his battle.- 83 replies

Hmm, I think I remember that one. Check the interface ideas topic. Never mind, found it here: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=379084&p=6672832

Valid Unlikely due to technical difficulties and the fact that this doesn't add much to the game, but cool idea nonetheless. Also, I'm not sure if it would be particularly epic, since I don't think Tanki really has many epic moments like some other games.

planned Ability to kick players from your own private battles
Maf replied to King_Khan_143 in Ideas and Suggestions
Topic merged For private and parkour battles - maybe. But this will never be implemented in battles with a fund, due to possibility of abuse. Also, do keep in mind that by threatening to kick someone you are violating the chat rule which does not allow players to pretend to be moderators (or pretend to have any punishment permissions in-game).- 83 replies

planned Incorporate ratings and profiles inside the game
Maf replied to idiboy in Ideas and Suggestions
Topic merged I assume not that many people use the profiles system, so it's probably not worth incorporating them into the game. And like I said in my first post here - having ratings and profiles separate has its advantage since you don't need to open and load the game to view someone's profile. -
Sounds cool, but I don't see why this should be a whole new feature, rather than part of existing turret alterations. Its basically the same thing. Also, I think it's wrong to make functionality of certain overdrives available as turret (or shot) alterations. I feel like it makes the game confusing and ruins the unique characteristic of each hull and its overdrive.

It just means "jugger", not necessarily "where is juggernaut"

Status changed to "Valid".

What I'm saying is, it's probably impossible to separate those stats. You can't decrease acceleration without decreasing pushing ability.
-
Aren't they literally the same thing? Higher acceleration is what causes pushing power to increase.
-
I was forced to do it Yeah, I know - a bit hypocritical. But I mostly used them because they were OP, or they have alterations which make the slow projectiles more bearable. Nowadays I'd only use those turrets when there's too many protections from Thunder.
-
You can post ideas for the forum in a separate topic in I&S. We rarely get them, so there is no need for a category topic like that. Both of them seem quite interesting and both could probably be new turrets. It doesn't really matter what I think of them personally. As long as they fit the rules, you can post them. I generally don't like turrets with non-instant impact projectiles though.
-
Striker introduced heat-seeking missiles, Magnum introduced ballistic projectiles. What kind of brand new mechanic does this turret introduce that justifies making it a whole new turret, rather than an alteration for Vulcan or Railgun?
-
Umm...

It's declined. We can't accept it with this little proof. It it was 3 or 4 captures that you recorded, then we could probably be lenient, but you only recorded one of them. It's not enough, sorry.
-
Devs said that the vampirism feature was breaking game balance and there is no way to fix it, so it was removed. I doubt it will ever be brought back, even as an alteration.

Valid

This idea focuses more on the cosmetic and monetisation side of it, so I'll leave it valid.

Well, it definitely isn't Wasp's nuke, but it's good enough, I think. At least they added a special effect, rather than making the enemy tank blow up randomly. What's really disappointing is Viking's overdrive effect. That one is really underwhelming.
-
I know they have track marks, but do they have custom track cosmetics?
-
Where does it say that? Either way, the reason it specifically mentions that it doesn't use supplies is because Dictator is the only hull, whose upcoming overdrive will enable supplies, so naturally people would be reluctant to use it thinking that it uses their own supplies (which it doesn't). The other hulls have different functions of their overdrives.

I wouldn't give it too much credit. It was most likely a less popular author, who liked the game and decided to write a couple books about it. The books themselves aren't exactly masterpieces. They're written like a bad, cliche action/war movie and focus too much on relating as much as possible to the game, rather than story and characters. There's whole chapters describing actual battles in detail and while reading it I just kept thinking "why am I reading this when I could go and play actual battles instead?".
