Since low ranks can't access PRO battles, then yes - that's a new record.

Instead of having to check kills on a separate website, everyone would just get a 400-kill daily mission which they complete and get reward for instantly. Once they complete it, they get another 400-kill mission (to add up to 800) and then a 1200-kill mission.

Wait, so in your opinion is Freeze OP, or is it "a joke" and "pathetic". Please make up your mind :D True, my experience with freeze is very limited. But how hard can it be? I already played a lot of hours with Firebird, which has very similar gameplay. Besides, (and I hope I won't offend hardcore Freeze fans) Freeze doesn't seem to be a particularly skill-demanding turret. Just come up to the enemy and spray them. So the learning curve is fairly small. I definitely noticed more Freezes in battles today, but I think it might be because everyone wants to try it after the buff, myself included.

You'll find that most people in this topic think otherwise...

Nowadays at high ranks a turret's power is defined mostly by how popular its protections are. For example Twins, Rico, Thunder and Railgun are really good, but with around half of the players using modules against them in every battle these turrets are severely nerfed, which is why I usually use Hammer or Mangum, despite enjoying the mechanics of the other turrets.

Haven't changed my mind about drones. I tried to use one of the new ones (Driver) and the whole time while it was active I just couldn't help but think that I should be getting kills and activating overdrive ASAP, in order to take full advantage of the drone. It completely ruined gameplay for me and turned it into a stressful experience where I just feel like whenever I don't use the drone's ability it means I'm just wasting batteries. It made me more frustrated about getting my kills stolen or waiting too long to activate OD - something I never usually worry about. Same goes for other drones. Having a drone activated and ready just puts this pressure on me, making me feel like I have to constantly seek for opportune moments to use the drone, otherwise I'm not using the precious batteries to their full potential. Making batteries 2 or 3 times cheaper or making drones activate on demand (via a key) would solve this issue, but until that happens I don't think I'll be buying or using drones anymore.

Just tested Freeze in three DM battles. I wouldn't say it's OP. Definitely a lot more powerful than before, since I can now quite easily get first place with it, while before if I tried it, I struggled to even get in the top half of the leaderboard. But its power is comparable to that of Magnum, Twins, Smoky or Hammer with alts. I'd say that it just went from being an unplayable, completely underpowered turret, into the top-5 most powerful turrets. Which is OK, as far as game balance goes.

What makes you think that today's update was a "start"? It may as well be the only balance update of 2018.
-
Let's not forget that Isida is primarily a healing turret.
-
Nah, just checked in-game, bought the first two MU steps on one of the new drones - same price as the first three.
-
Unlike Firebird, Freeze doesn't have the additional bonus from burning, and unlike Isida, Freeze's damage drops significantly if the target isn't right next to the tank. So it should be quite a balanced change. Freeze's weakness is undeniable, so it obviously needed a buff. The question is whether this buff was just right or too much, but I guess we'll see about that tomorrow. I feel like Freeze will be the new weapon of choice in DM, since I saw some people getting first place with it even before this update.

Unknown at the moment, but it would be crazy to raise the price above 1 million crystals, so I'm expecting it to be the same.

I agree, but a certain other user on this forum clearly thinks otherwise :D

This was a bit of miscommunication on our part, sorry. I merged both ideas and put the topic under review.- 83 replies

Crystals are never considered more expensive than real currency because you can get them for free. For a Legend player, 100k is about 2-3 weeks of gameplay (from game rewards, containers and missions).

That awkward moment when the balance update doesn't affect Magnum  (and it doesn't buff railgun)

planned Ability to kick players from your own private battles
Maf replied to King_Khan_143 in Ideas and Suggestions
Last time this was posted I declined it due to the possibility of abusing this feature in a private battle. But since private battles no longer have battle funds, this could actually be implemented. Developers did say something about plans to add a kick system again, but that was a while ago and there hasn't been any more news about it since.- 83 replies

Which is exactly why developers removed things like double funds, missions and black boxes from PRO, because they give players a huge economical advantage over those playing in standard battles.
-
I don't know, I feel like the only reason it doesn't seem like they make a difference is because usually there's one or rarely two players using then in a battle. And one player won't make that much of a difference. But if you're playing against a full team with all of them using drones vs. none on your team, you surely would feel the difference. Sure, having a drone vs not having one isn't as much of a difference as using supplies vs not using them, but it's still a significant advantage, especially if combined with smart strategy.
