yes, I will inform all applicants about the status of their application around the 12th of June.

Yeah, that's actually one very underrated improvement. Useful and convenient.

This one is actually alright. haven't seen this turret idea before and seems like it has interesting gameplay. From what I understand, it shoots at a tank like Twins and deals damage with a direct hit, but at the same time creates a sort of puddle on the ground that stays there for a while and deals damage to any enemy that stays in it. So that way you can block certain pathways, cover enemy escape routes and a bunch of other new tactics.

Valid Buying items for other players as gifts (for money only)

In the past holiday paints already became available as standalone items. Not sure why devs stopped doing it now.

Valid Interesting idea, but it would just turn into another "XC" format, i.e. no one will ever play it. Unfortunately Tanki's player base is not big enough to find enough players online at the same time, who would all be interested in playing such a format.

Valid

I don't even know anymore what's a lie and what isn't. So many times devs announced certain changes and either added something different tonwhatbwe expected, or didn't release enough details and kept players confused. Or just cancelled the whole thing altogether (which was sometimes a good thing). Maybe nerfing drugs was game balance, but at this point it makes me think that it was more of an "alterations" situation, where they nerf a thing and add an option to get it back again at a higher price.

Because now every module is more valuable, since you can use them in any combination. Although I disagree with the way they did the pricing. Buying more modules is beneficial only when you already have some, so for new players with no modules, the first module should be cheap (maybe 30k for M3), second - more expensive (80k), and third - 140k, so that buying the first three modules is the same as buying one old triple module. But since each new purchased module after the first three adds more and more potential combinations, they should get exponentially more expensive as you buy them. That way it would be fairly cheap to protect yourself from the 3-5 turrets you hate most, but more protections would be more of a privilege, rather than necessity.

It's not final yet. They might add batteries to weekly chains or the individual missions.
-
I'd say Assault. That is if you're good at getting kills and use a lot of supplies. Every drone is useful in some way and it depends on your play style. To you I'd recommend Trooper.

I bought all three drones and 100 batteries today to test them (spent 30k on batteries alone). Played for about an hour and consequently spent 60 batteries. The cost of operation is 300 crystals per minute, regardless of whether or not you actually benefited from your drone's ability. You could sit in a parkour battle with the drone activated and it will still eat your batteries at the same rate. First impression - these drones and batteries are basically what normal supplies used to be back in 2010-2013. Extremely expensive, very hard to get them for free, but they give a massive advantage in battles. If you can buy the drones, their MUs and batteries for them - do it and you will be unstoppable in battles, just like "druggers" back in 2012. If you can't buy them, then save up and collect batteries from daily missions, chains and containers, and use drones only on occasion. The module separation is disappointing. I knew we would get the biggest protection as a standalone module, but was hoping that the duplicate protections against the same turret would all get compensated. Evidently not. Some players definitely benefit from this conversions, but I feel like many were left at a loss. I do like the more flexible module system and having new gameplay mechanics is always nice, especially considering that I can easily afford the drones and batteries. But I feel sorry for the free players. At this point I just hope that there will be a decent amount of batteries given out in mission rewards, otherwise gameplay in Tanki will basically become what it was in 2012. I wish it didn't.

I got none. Thought it was a glitch  At least I have almost all protections above 35% now...

You don't need to sell your whole soul. Only part of it

They did say earlier that there will be ways to get batteries for free. Hi

The rule exists not because we hate ideas for bringing back removed things, but because such ideas are pointless. I&S exists so that players can share ideas that developers potentially haven't thought of before, so that they (devs) might think "oh, that's a cool idea, we should add that!". But if you're simply suggesting to bring back something that they decided to remove, you're not providing them with any original thoughts. Obviously developers are aware of the features they removed and the reasons why they removed them, so bringing back something they removed is solely their own decision. Discussing those ideas is also rather pointless, since all the discussion already happened in the news topic that announced removal of that item/feature. posting about it again would result in the same replies and arguments. I know how you feel and I want the same thing, but unfortunately developers' methods for planning the project's progress seem to differ a lot from what we actually want. I would love to see them occasionally (once a month or so) take a few days to just implement some small ideas that a lot of players have been asking for. That way they would make lots of players happy and, more importantly, regain some trust by showing that they listen to players' opinions. But it seems like this can't happen.

Does this mean 10 batteries for every standard battle every time, or 1 battery for every minute when the drone is actually deployed? Thanks. That's good news for those, who complained about drones obstructing the view :P Would be nice to know the price, but I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
-
Ooof, guess that answers the question about whether or not we should buy old modules during the birthday sale

Not by default splash (although it's possible), but splash damage with DD is more than enough to one-shot it.
