Citation needed. I'd say these supposed better rewards are just confirmation bias - you're opening a lot of them at once, so the chance of getting at least one legendary/exotic is greater, so therefore the "opening session" is more likely to leave a positive impression than smaller sessions with fewer containers (which are usually obtained for free). Personally, I opened quite a few sets of 200 containers from purchased bundles, and IIRC at least 3 of them didn't have any exotics. At the same time I've gotten exotics from opening <10 free containers, and I've gotten 2-3 exotics from some sets of 100+ ultra containers. I'm fairly certain there's no bias.

Probably not, but you never know...

Whoa! A pleasant surprise!

The logic is that because of the long projectile flight time, Striker is ineffective at long range unless the target is stationary. But yes, it is often effective at long range despite being a medium range turret.

Interesting that boris got overtaken. I wonder how close they both are to getting the phoenix augments for their equipment... Though my reaction remains the same as in that other topic you posted.

On one hand, you raise a valid point, but on the other hand, the server restart happens at a time when server activity is at its lowest, and it only lasts for a couple minutes. It's understandable that developers didn't bother to implement a special error message for it specifically. I suspect that the few people that regularly play at that time already memorised the time of server restart and know what the server error means.

valid Addition of a ''QnA'' chat section exclusively for new players.
Maf replied to DefkwargX in Ideas and Suggestions
Hold on, so who are these selected people? A dedicated team of volunteer consultant helpers with access to the chat? A while ago developers changed the duties and responsibilities of helper teams. The current instructions state that helpers are not allowed to give players direct instructions and answers to their questions about the game. Therefore, a chat channel where players ask questions and helpers answer them is impossible to create. That's why we have the Q&A channel, where player questions are answered by other players. -
Sorry if it came across as me saying that your posts don't make sense - that was not my intention. I'm just saying that the idea itself is sensible, therefore it can be marked as "valid".

Actually, I think the reason the intro was shortened was because the editors could see that everyone was skipping it. I loved the intro as well, but watching the same 15-second clip over and over again got old after a few dozen V-logs, so I started skipping it. I'm sure most others did the same. Besides, it would be expensive to recreate this intro to reflect the modern version of the game.

Ok that actually makes sense. I'll mark it valid.

I don't quite understand. Isn't that what we already have?

It's about the PC version feature that allows you to select which supply gets activated next. At the moment you can only select one supply. Pressing another supply will replace it in the queue. The suggestion is to add multiple supplies in the queue, so you can press 4, then 2, then 3, and it will activate SB, DA and DD in that order as soon as the cooldown ends. The problem is, once you start introducing multiple supply queues, it gets very complicated and frustrating. Imagine you want to activate speed boost, so you try to press 4, but accidentally press 3. Then you press 4, but the system just puts speed boost in queue after DD, so you have to wait for DD to run out, then activate a new DD, then wait 5 seconds and activate SB. Or, to turn it off you'd have to press 4, then 3, then 4 again. That's gonna be extremely frustrating in the heat of the battle. It's not worth implementing, IMO.

Balancing changes are done by the game designer Opex Rah. He has spreadsheets with data about performance of various items, and his work involves analysing this data to understand which numbers need to be tweaked in order to improve balance. Meanwhile, improving "the game as a whole" is done by the software development team. These different jobs require completely different sets of skills and are not interchangeable.
-
When there's thousands of shots flying around every minute, small changes like that actually matter. There's a lot of work that goes into deciding what to tweak and by how much. besides, surely you wouldn't want them to accidentally make changes that are too drastic, causing thousands of players to complain about some item being ruined or made too OP?
-
Please post suggestions to improve the game in the I&S section. That being said, we do not accept ideas about refunds or selling of items. Closed.

I can sympathise with this, but the current aiming time is balanced. If anything, it could be made even longer. If you get frustrated with the long lock-on time and hate it when the target hides just before you can fire, maybe it's worth using a different turret that doesn't have the lock-on mechanic.

You're essentially spending 300 crystals a day for a rare chance to get some cool reward (paint/augment/effect/whatever). The value of such rewards is subjective, so whether it's worth it or not is up to you.

What are some weird/unusual combos that are surprisingly good?
Maf replied to ekf in Game Discussion
Yeah, but with enough skill you can actually use Wasp's extreme tilt and rotation to land shots in places you wouldn't typically reach with a different hull. -
Depends a lot on your playstyle. I don't like Scorpion much, so I only occasionally use it with Tornado augment. Thunder and Shaft are actually my main turrets now, but I only use them with Vacuum Rounds and Healing Emitters respectively. Healing with Shaft is really fun, I get a lot of teammates thanking me for support and for me it's a different kind of challenge — I have to find spots in the map where I have line of sight on my teammates in key positions, but the enemies can't reach me. Vacuum Thunder is fun since it's potentially OP, but only if you know how to use it well.

Back in 2018 I spent a very long time playing with Wasp Magnum. It was really fun and surprisingly versatile once I got good at it. -
"Exotic" augments are only available in that tier when they're first released, but they typically move into Legendary tier in the following weeks/months. To avoid doing repeat work, the artists design these augments with a yellow outline from the beginning, since they will eventually move down to Legendary tier anyway. The same doesn't apply to Phoenix augments, which will always remain Exotic.
-
There's rather simple solutions to those specific issues, but I don't want to get into it at all because there's absolutely no way this thing will be developed just for a single event mode.
-
I feel like it would do the opposite. Currently, winning and losing doesn't make much of a difference, and your previous losses don't matter at all. But with the W/L ratio being displayed, suddenly you're gonna have players blaming each other for "ruining my stats". Instead of working together, it will cause people to be more toxic.
