Very popular and very logical idea. The first time this got suggested was at least 5 years ago, so I'm disappointed that it still hasn't been implemented.

Topic merged Yeah thanks. Though I really doubt it will actually happen ?

A variety of voice chat ideas were considered many times before, but the most recent status on this feature is that it won't be implemented. There's a number of reasons: Browser-based VoIP systems are complicated to develop and require a huge investment, which cannot be justified for Tanki. Such systems also continually require a lot of resources to maintain and keep them functional. Demand for voice chat isn't that great in our community. A lot of people play this game while on the toilet, and devs don't like the idea of enabling voice chat given this context (I'm not joking - this was an official statement)

Not always. At first, paints were tied to protections, so new paints were made when new turrets were released, to ensure that players have a variety of protection combinations to choose from. Then, protective paints were split into cosmetic paints and protective modules, at which point devs massively increased the prices of standard paints. At this point paints were the only cosmetic items in the game, so devs were adding new paints to try generate revenue that way, since the alternative is to add more p2W features. At tfirst they added new paints exclusively to containers (which were a new thing). Then the animated paints were released, and people were going crazy over them for a while. But then we got shot effects and skins, so paints became this seconday thing that people stopped caring so much about. Dozens of animated paints were introduced via challenges, but now they just recycle the existing list of paints, since it's pointless to make new ones for a number of reasons.

Did the invite bug get fixed yet? The main reason why I stopped responding to invites was because I couldn't see the name of the player inviting me (whethere it's a battle or group), and I don't want to leave my battle for random invites. Another big reason is that I might not want to abandon my current battle, but would like to join after I'm done. However, an idea to add a "coming when done" invite response option has been going around for years, yet it hasn't been added. Something like that would make invites so much more convenient.

Yes, it is offensive. If you have any more questions about this or anything else regarding chat bans and rules, please contact chat administrators (@DarkOperative @rommeltanki) via private message. Closed

Others are saying that this is an actual issue, though a video would be nice. But also do try switching your controls to keyboard and using spacebar, and see if the problem persists.
-
Is it with Hopper specifically, or any hull? Would be nice to see a video of this, but based on your description I think it's more likely that your spacebar is unreliable when you hold it down. Try and asign spacebar to a different key and see if the problem persists.

I accounted for that. My ratings page shows 2649 hours.

My comment was more of a joke, rather than a serious suggestion. Most players (like 99.999%) will never reach even Legend 100, so getting one chunk (out of 100) for ranking up means that rank-up rewards will be completely useless for all but the most dedicated players. Of course, 40k crystals is a much more attractive reward, but I always knew that it was far too generous for Legends when the 2020 summer fund and exp boosts started happening. I knew it was too good to last and would get nerfed eventually, though I didn't expect it to get nerfed so much.
-
Like that's ever gonna happen ? Unless we're talking about skin container pieces. One piece per rank-up, and collect 100 pieces to get one skin container ?
-
Well, not really. Guys like him are exactly the reason why the current infinite Legends system was implemented. And it serves its purpose perfectly fine. The ranking reward is a joke though, but that's a different topic.

I have just one reaction to this: Glad to see some players are enjoying the game so much, but holy carp guys, take care of yourselves! I accumulated about 3500 hours in this game in 11 years of playing it, and even that feels like WAY too much. Can't imagine playing 12k+ hours — that's over 16 months non-stop.

Not quite. Toxic is the AP augment for Freeze, while this one is also AP, but has a different name and is for Scorpion

THANK YOU! That was always one of my favourite features in TO mobile

I think I know what he means. Check out this pro diagram: When you (blue tank) are pointing at an stationary enemy (red tank) above you, the red outline shows up. Now, if you just tap spacebar and fire a single rocket that's not locked-on, it will spawn and immediately fly in a straight line from your turret to the enemy (yellow line). But if the rocket is locked-on, it will spawn travelling horizontally straight from your turret, and only then turn towards the enemy (brown dashed line). So in the normal firing mode, the rocket will hit its target with no issues, unless the target moves. But if there's an obstacle really close to the direct line of fire (usually an edge of a building/bridge/cliff), a locked-on rocket will always hit that instead, despite the aiming indicator showing an outline. Happens quite often, and it IS really annoying, just like the part with double damage on already-fired projectiles not working if your tank is dead.

Hyper is a higher form of "super", and "super" is a Latin word that simply means "above/beyond". Both of these words are most often used in context of speed, specifically "supersonic" and "hypersonic", but the meaning is "above the speed of sound", not "faster". The word "Hyperion" itself is the name of a being in ancient Greek mythology, meaning "the one above all". So it relates to general superiority, rather than speed. Though I agree that it makes no sense for Trickster to be a speed drone. I raised that point the day when Trickster's mechanics were changed.

Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for the gifts, and happy for all the F2P players getting so many rewards that were unimaginable not so long ago. But I'm still somewhat concerned about the future of the project. Also, I don't know if Hazel is the one to credit for this. He is the lead game dev and the one responsible for gameplay changes, but I don't think he's in charge of the economy. Not that it matters though.
-
I really hope that whoever is in charge of Tanki's economy knows what they're doing. Because no matter how much downtime the game experienced, giving away THIS much free stuff in the token of apology can't possibly be good for the project. The game needs revenue to survive, and now they've essentially given away the most exclusive items (armadillo and crisis) for free to every single player, along with a ton of other valuable things. Who's gonna buy ultra containers now? The whole thing has me worried. I don't want to be pessimistic, but I'm afraid we could be facing another "update 123" situation in the near future. Just my opinion.

It's been around since at least 2016, possibly earlier. Still not implemented...

The healing effect (polarisation) doesn't stack — you either have it or you don't. So 10 Paladins with OD get healed as much as 1 Paladin with OD. A better question would be whether or not a tank can be invincible if it's being healed by 10 Isidas. And the answer is no, if there's enough enemies shooting at that tank.

They're great for variety, but terrible to play on. Would be awesome if artificial lighting was added, such as streetlamps, floodlights, tank headlights...
