  1. I just wanna take a moment to talk about the new challenge. A total of six augments? Golden Star in Silver tier 11?? Legendary-tier Stun firebird in silver tier??? What is happening? ? But also RIP Helios (good riddance)
  2. I think the new skins look pretty cool, but my only concern is that there doesn't appear to be any consistency with how skins are released and named. Why do Prime skins still exist? What's so special about Ultra skins, when default HD looks the same or even better than Ultra in some cases? What's the deal with SE Freeze? That skin makes no sense. Why do we now have two Fire DC skins instead of having the old one replaced with the new, or at least having a DC skin for another turret? Why are skins like SP, DC and RT made available once and never again? Not even in the absurdly expensive skin containers? Why did Hammer get a Legacy skin when that skin never existed in the game before? The answer to some of those questions is pretty obvious, but I still feel like the Tanki skin collection is a somplete mess at this point, and it could have been organised way better.
  3. I'm gonna go with Wasp Shaft. Shaft is terrible with any non-hovering hull, because you can't quickscope while moving - the aim shakes way too much. And Wasp is probably the worst non-hover hull right now.

I'm no expert and I don't have access to the actual analytics of this project's revenue trends, but I've been here long enough to confidently tell you that rolling out generic QoL updates does not help the game survive (i.e. make money) as much as new content that people can buy, or grind for many hours to win for free. And don't disregard the first part of my post. Whether you want it or not, you can't just force an artist to close 3ds Max and open HTML to start "fixing bugs".
  5. You make a great point here, but it doesn't make sense when you look at certain maps that are currently in MM. I'm sure you know which ones — the infamous Massacre and Highways in CTF and RGB, which a significant amount of people absolutely hate playing and leave immediately. How do they not fall under the category of "gameplay or thematic issues that prevent them being a good addition"?
  6. You don't take a 3D artist (who would be the one making an XT skin) and tell them to fix bugs and improve game balance. Different people do different things. And case of Crisis XT specifically, fixing bugs and adding new maps is irrelevant, becaause it doesn't directly generate revenue. So I'll say it again — when the game needs new exclusive stuff to sell to people to generate revenue, I'd prefer that it be some absurd cosmetics, as opposed to OP gameplay-affecting items.
  7. Is that bad? I'd much rather see them add a million new cosmetics, than a new broken augment or other OP new thing.

    I guess it's an original idea, but is it really needed? How does it improve gameplay or any other aspects of Tanki? To me it looks like unnecessary complications to coding, game balance and user friendliness.

    There are no details. Like I said above, it's just a thing Opex Rah touched on one day, where he said something like "yeah we might add a payload escort mode eventually". That's it.

    Look at any other game that has a similar mode. For example Overwatch. The main concept is that there's a very slow-moving object that goes along a predetermined path, and one team's task is to defend that object to ensure it rreaches the end of its path. The other team's task is to prevent the object reaching the end. If the object reaches the end, the first team wins. If not - the other team wins.

    This is actually sort of planned for the future. I say "sort of", because adding a new game mode isn't anywhere near the top of the task priority list, but if there is to be a new game mode sometime in the future, it would almost certainly be this.

  18. The reason is pretty obvious — it's the most effective way to generate revenue while keeping the target audience interested. This is used not just in hundreds of video games, but in the real lfe industry as well. Prime example: technology and fashion. Getting a newly released iPhone as soon as it comes out is expensive, and it gives people a way to stand out and show off. A year later you can get the same iPhone with a discount, because it's already outdated. With fashion it's even more obvious — a season passes and everything gets sold with massive sales.

  20. I don't see how this is relevant to what I said. I never claimed that being F2P is easy or comfortable. What I'm saying is that I support the idea of reducing the gap between buyers and free players, so I'm happy to see events/updates which help that cause.
  21. I found it funny that the original post almost exactly copies my exaggerated representation or people complaining about everyone getting the fund rewards for such a low price. But fine, I suppose my reaction can be percieved as provocative. I've removed it. Though as a proponent of balanced gameplay and equality between free players and buyers, I'm not gonna lie that I'm happy to see the former enjoying their new toys while the latter complains about it. Touché
