Actually, I just noticed today that the Armadillo icon doesn't appear if the player also has protection from your turret. Was just up against a 50% Armadillo guy (surprise-surprise, it was an XT Paladin Tesla), and he also had 50% from Striker, so I was puzzled when I didn't deal max damage with a critical shot despite not seeing him have Armadillo. But then I checked Tab and saw that he had it as well as Striker prot. Same goes for mine protection too, I think — it's only visible if the player doesn't have protection from your turret.

The radar is extremely useful and offers a gigantic advantage to those who use it well. This one is less so, but I think it may help assess the situation on a control point quickly and efficiently. I also wonder how this would affect Siege, assuming the feature is implemented there too. At the moment there's an interesting strategy that you can use, where you stealthily come up to the point behind or below the enemy and sit there, preventing them from capturing it. Even with a line connecting to your tank, and even with radar, I often had situations where I could sit right next to the enemy and block point capture for a solid 15-30 seconds before they finally realised and started to shoot me. If they instead get a massive symbol basically saying "an enemy is on the point", I fear it would kill this strategy and remove the need for situational awareness.- 54 replies

Yeah, I remember using IJKL when I had key ghosting on a previous laptop. But then I got a new one where the arrow keys work fine. Also I'm a mouse-control-hover-hull pleb now anyway, so...

And also avoid bunching up. When I play with splash turrets, there have been many times when I'm fighting an enemy, they go hide behind cover, but then a teammate parks next to them out in the open allowing me to kill the teammate and the guy that is hiding with splash damage. This one baffles me the most. I find it weird that some people treat the opposing team like they're some kind of non-humans. It's even funnier when a guy spends the whole game showering me with insults, and in the next game we're on the same team, and suddenly he loves me Also, some people always complain about buyers on the enemy team and "mults" in their own team, but at the same time completely fail to acknowledge buyers in their own team and noobs in the opposition.

Before taking the OD box, check if there are teammates around you. Let them take it if they have no OD and you have yours ready. Even if yours isn't ready, let them take it if they're using a hull with slow OD charge rate, especially if it's at the start of the game or you saw them use their OD very recently. Obviously don't risk it if enemies are going for the OD box too. Try to avoid getting in your teammates' way and bumping them, especially if they're a Railgun or Shaft. And never get in front of a Viking that's firing its OD. Let your teammates capture flags if your OD is ready and theirs isn't. When a teammate is carrying the flag, cover them from enemy fire by driving between them and any potential line of sight from enemies. This one goes without saying, but let your teammate take the repair kit if they have less health than you.

My best guess is that this guy saw double damage and thought "why should I upgrade my turret and get +5% damage when I can just buy DDs and get +100% damage?", so he spent all his crys on DDs. Not the smartest logic, but I can see how he came to that conclusion.

Yeah, no idea what happened there lol. I honestly enjoyed the other games against you more, even though I lost, because it was more challenging and therefore more fun. Never liked easy wins.

I remember once seeing a Legend guy with nothing but Mk1-Mk3 equipment, but he used like 100k DDs (and under 1k of other supplies).

Better than nothing (or -80% I guess), but still pretty bad. I'm more concerned about the other Hopper changes, but will wait until tomorrow before jumping to conclusions.

No, it specifically only talks about the upwards angle, for shooting down flying tanks. I'm curious to see what these changes will actually mean for flying Hoppers. I have hope that flying will still be possible, albeit extremely difficult.

This is before MM. A lot has changed since that video, including DM becoming less and less popular. It also didn't fit into the overall new model that the game has moved towards.

It was just unpopular. I remember some guy asked in the Vlog "Why did you remove DM? I loved to play it occasionally to test new equipment" and Opex was like "exactly — you only liked to play it occasionally, as did most other people"
