  1. Listening ≠ doing. Developers can (and do) collect our feedback, but they can't just take it all and do the most popular thing, because then we would very quickly end up with millions of tankoins raining from the sky, players running around with extremely overpowered Railguns, 99% discounts on everything, and the game shutting down a week later due to lack of revenue. This is because of two reasons: The majority of the player base consists of children, who cannot be trusted to make decisions in the game's development due to lack of understanding of how a F2P multiplayer online game functions and what kind of changes are most beneficial for it. The people who would vote do not represent the general player base. The game is divided into two types of players — those who care about the game and its community (i.e. those, who would actually care to vote), and those who just play. The ones that play are a majority, and their needs and preferences are different to those in the first group. So if you are the kind of person that wrote at least one message on the game's forum, then you already belong to the minority first group and your opinion doesn't accurately represent the needs of all players as a whole. Developers have their own data collection and people with the right tools to analyse that data. This is what they use to make decisions. And believe me that, as a business that aims to turn a profit, it's in their best interest to do everything possible to keep players happy and interested in playing the game. This already happens in a plethora of different ways. Weekly Q&As in the Vlog, announcement topics with comments open for feedback, places to leave your ideas and suggestions to improve the game. All of these official places get checked by community managers and every comment gets taken into account. If the CM doesn't have time, then the moderators collect feedback and compile weekly and monthly reports, which get forwarded to devs. A free to play game needs new content to survive. No new content = dead game. It's as simple as that and there is no way around it, and there's a lot more content to come, whether we like it or not. The only alternative is to change to a subscription model, i.e. you must have Premium Account to play the game at all. This will not work. Besides, "bad updates" are subjective. One thing you dislike is someone's favourite feature. Another thing you like a lot someone else wants removed no matter what. It's impossible to make everybody happy, and, like I said above, your idea of a perfect game is not the same as everyone's idea of a perfect game. That's all I have to say about this. I can also recommend that you check out this livestream summary that Hex and I did a couple years ago. It's old and partially outdated, but the first section in particular covers most of the same points you raised in your post.
  2. To me the augments were always the top reward, ever since they started appearing in challenges.
  3. Topic reopened @vanio_95 I added paragraphs and removed the turrets idea. You can post them in a new topic if you want. Check the spoiler below:
  4. Daily missions to complete the challenge, as well as get 1.5 extra containers per day? ?
  5. Technically, you are allowed to do that. If you include multiple ideas about balance changes, then the topic will be eventually merged into "Let's Discuss Balance" anyway, so the mix of ideas isn't an issue. So if Spy or Iron_Man decline a topic like that for having multipel ideas, just tag me in it and I'll give them a slap Also not a valid reason to close, since we're supposed to edit the topic title to improve it, not shut down the topic. If you guys can link me some topics that got closed/declined like that, I'll check them out and fix, if applicable.

    Purchases you regret

I remember back in 2013 or so when I was still playing on my alt (MAFFIOZA, if anyone wondered), I was looking at kits to purchase. The account was a Wasp Smoky main, and at some point I had enough crystals to buy Hornet Isida M2 with Loam, and I went for it. I regretted it deeply, but somehow one thing led to another and the account became a Wasp Isida main. I think the purchase of "M2 paints" kit helped a lot, since it gave me the powerful Prodigi paint (with 50% thunder and railgun protection) at a really low rank. And people say that <2015 Tanki wasn't pay to win, HA! ?

    Low player base nowadays?

I also saw a lieutenant in a battle, except I'm Legend... I feel really bad for those guys that get sent in battles like that. Hell, if I see one on the enemy team and the battle is not that sweaty, I just let them kill me to get at least some score. One thing that annoys me the most about this is that while this sort of matching is happening in-game, I still can't invite my lower ranked friends to a party in a private battle because I can't stretch the rank bracket further than Marshal ?
  8. Seems a bit illogical to count potential overdrives as opposed to actual activation of it. Either way, the new interface will make a charged OD more obvious, so you'll be less likely to miss it.

    Firebird HD

Looks neat! I like the anodizing effect on the nozzle ?
  10. No, because the reason this topic got bumped is because a similar idea got merged into it.
  11. Wow, I saw PirateSpider's post and thought he was confused, but only after the second post did I realise the typo Fixed.
  12. 5 shafts in one team on sandal ? We're the same rank!
  13. Yeah I did it once too. It's HARD! ? It would indeed be an interesting achievement in Tanki too, but there's almost no way to do it in a normal battle — you have to especially organise your friends to do it. It doesn't really fit into the general theme of tanki achievements.
  14. We don't appreciate pointless topic bumping though. If you do reply to an old abandoned thread, make sure your comment adds some value to the discussion.
  15. The idea is good, but consider its balance compared to the other drones. Would you use this drone instead of Defender, Booster, Saboteur, Blaster?
  16. I remember creating a topic like this a couple years ago. Got a few replies and died. Oof

    Ideas for Maps!

"Forest" map: Am I a joke to you? yeah yeah I know, it's not much of a forest...
  18. Man, I didn't realise they released so many skins in TX. But then again, most of them use the same (or almost the same models) and just add some extra colours/textures/effects on top. To be honest, the coolest one they made was the Steampunk skin, and I'm glad it's coming to TO now. The XT skins also look really cool, and, to be honest, I think that's what the Prime or Ultra series of skins should look like in TO, because at the moment they are both very underwhelming. Also, the existence of Tier 1 and Tier 2 skins means that devs already have a collection of "HD" skins for lower tiers, so that makes me wonder two things: 1) is it even possible to take a TX model and put it into TO, and 2) if it's possible, then will devs eventually add back the lower modification skins for each item, since they only need to make new skins for equipment that doesn't exist in TX (which is currently 3 hulls and 4 turrets).
  19. I get exactly what you mean. If road traffic was interconnected in a single giant network, they could organise themselves to not only avoid collisions, but also manage traffic flow on a large scale to minimise congestion.
  20. If the company that produced your car has regulatory permission to allow their cars to drive autonomously without supervision from a human driver, then the accident will be their responsibility. Your condition shouldn't matter, since you are just a passenger.
  21. Since I posted this topic, a lot has happened in the world of autonomy. More specifically, Tesla released the beta version of their FSD software, and a number of users are currently testing it in the streets. I've been watching videos of it and, while it still makes dumb mistakes and has a lot to improve on, some of the behaviour it demonstrates is mind-blowing. At Tesla they created a driving AI, which doesn't just allow the car to understand the environment around it and follow traffic rules, but it constantly assesses the situation and makes decisions that are more akin to humans, rather than a "robot". For example, if there's a vehicle stopped in the road for no reason, it may cross the double yellow line to pass it; or if the road markings are weird and confusing, it might ignore them and take a path that's more logical based on surrounding traffic and overall layout. Very impressive system, and it keeps improving with every new version. So you raised very valid concerns regarding an autonomous car not being able to adapt to different driving styles and cultures around the world. However, it is possible to create software that's not only adapted to peculiarities of driving in various locations, but actually learns on the go and changes its behaviour based on interactions with other drivers. That being said, you're completely right that in order to get the highest efficiency out of autonomy, roads must become inaccessible to human-driven cars.
