valid You can only be Juggernaut 1 time per match
Maf replied to LOLKILLERTOTHEDEATH in Ideas and Suggestions
Self-destruct them ? But to be honest, I think a good option would be to have a small pop-up in a corner saying "you're about to be juggernaut, press Enter (or whatever key) to cancel", and if they don't cancel, they will SD and become juggernaut. If they do cancel, it goes to the next person until it starts cycling through those who were alrready juggernaut before, and they get a second chance. This also kills two birds with one stone and gives players abiluty to opt out of being juggernaut in case that's not something they want to do — this is an idea @DieselPlatinum suggested (if I recall correctly). -

Could it be that you were in Space mode in Flash, but then went to a normal battle in HTML5? But it's possible that the physics are indeed somewhat different between the two platforms.

He means that the ball always fires where your hull is pointed, and keyboard players often have their hull pointed backwards/sideways/etc. while shooting. So to them it will take tome time to get use to the fact that they have to turn the hull in the direction they want to fire. For mose players this is less of a problem because the hull automatically faces where the turret is turned.

Did you get a second crisis drone from the containers? I can't imagine the RNG giving you anything less valuable. That would be disrespectful ?
-
I suspect that devs don't want to ever implement something like this after they struggled so much with balancing Isida's vampirism, but I do like the idea. it could be added as a drone, or as a universal augment for every turret (like Adrenaline).

You can look at the exact prices here. As you can see, Vulcan costs around 420k to purchase all modifications up to Mk7. It then costs another 456k to microupgrade Mk7 to the maximum level (Mk7+ or the colloquial "Mk8"). This is all without any discounts, and not accounting for speed-ups of micro-upgrades. oveall it's quite similar to the old system in terms of prices. I agree that it's annoying to buy each modification instead of getting Mk7 directly, but it is what it is.
-
Hi. Yes, the system was changed in december last year, and the previous 4 modifications were adjusted to a total of 7. Overall nothing changed, and prices remained mostly the same (there was a slight increase, if I recall correctly), but now you need to buy all 7 modifications in order to max out your equipment's stats. If you have an item at Mk4, it means it's equivalent to around M1-M2 by the previous system, and you will struggle if you use it in Legend battles.

If Tanki were to suddenly disappear, my current alternatives include Minecraft, Cities:Skylines, GTA V, Don't Starve. Outside of just games there's always Netflix and YouTube, diving down a rabbit hole of Wikipedia articles, or the million other things you could do on the internet. But then there's also real life hobbies as well. I currently do sailing, CAD design, reading. Plain old exercise and going for walks is always an option.

Possibly, though I think it will make the mechanic less fun. If a nerf is in order, then the trick is to reduce its power without reducing the fun aspect. This applies to any kind of nerf, not just Hopper.
-
Valid Is this for keyboard controls or something? I do this trick with Ares all the time, and it's fairly easy to shoot in different directions while following the BFG ball. You just have to dynamically change your WASD key input as you're turning. I vaguely demonstrated it at the end of this video: The idea itself is pretty good though. I can see how sometimes you may want to keep your hull straight or at a certain angle, e.g. when driving through a narrow passage.

I expected many things from this topic. I definitely didn't expect THAT.

Nah, not gonna happen. Devs keep repeating over and over again that after the 2012 Rebalance fiasco, there will never ever be any more crystal refunds for in-game items. And especially not for paints, which most people earned for free in the first place.
-
Yeah, a slower ascent and descent will be quite an interesting change, I reckon. It will allow Hopper to clear much larger gaps, but it will also make timing more difficult, and make it more vulnerable to enemy fire while in the air. And if you make its descent slower than the rate of boxes dropping, imagine how frustrating it would be if you jump up to catch a container, overshoot, and helplessly descend above the box, watching someone below you take it.

One thing I can say for sure is that the hull isn't going anywhere, regardless of how many people are in favour of it getting removed. The most that can happen is the hull getting changed or nerfed somehow, which is actually quite likely given the dynamic nature of game balance. This hull was clearly implemented with the full intention of making it THE gold-hunting hull. At this point the only thing I can say is if gold boxes are important to you, then use Hopper in battles, just like how you would use Dictator previously for the same purpose. As for the other aspects of its overdrive, I agree that there are quite a few situations besides gold boxes where the combination of EMP, burning and jumping is quite overpowered. The jump mechanic won't be removed completely (since Hopper is literally defined by it), but you are welcome to suggest specific ways to nerf it.

True, but it was decided that hull augments will not follow the same pattern. Except for heavyweight, which, for some reason, does have the disadvantage of reducing acceleration.
-
Honestly, I had a lot of trouble selecting OP and UP turrets. Had to think about it for a while. Not taking augments into account, I'd say that the current balance situation is actually really good. There are definitely some augments that stand out though, like the EMP gauss, which is likely why people are voting it as the most OP turret. A lot of augments are overpowered in certain game modes and situations. Shock freeze (obviously), incendiary band, incendiary mix (quite underrated, imho), triple shot, adaptive reload, some railgun alts, maybe Smoky and Hammer too.
-
It's not light and itsn't supposed to be. And yes, it's in the same class as Titan and Mammoth, like I said.
-
Hull augments are closer to modules, rather than turret augments. Modules don't have disadvantages, and neither do the augments. it's meant to be a direct increase of protective abilities.
-
Actually, Ares is the largest hull of all, and it's in the same class as Mammoth and Titan - a heavy hull.
