Mouse control missing on many browsers of the 2 "supported" types. Major problems with some turrets moving erratically. Shaft ruined. I don't think you have a solution for these problems. You just don't have these problems.
-
Pretty expensive benefit (looking around) in exchange for losing a week or more of Shaft gameplay. I finally got the aiming point for various distances, but sometimes for no reason the shot goes sky-high even when aim is locked. The "arcade shot" only seems to be accurate within a couple of meters, as I could not hit a stationary enemy at 5 to 10 meters. So apparently the bugs are much deeper.

Somebody would have lost a bonus for not releasing it. To heck with the players...now they have more data from screwing us over. Guess what, Tanki? You just lost dozens of *paying customers* with your ill-begotten updates. We should trust the folks who came up with loud horns and "Hurry up, the other team is ahead"...? Well, the horns worked but the early ending (the actual aim of the update) never worked correctly at all.
-
So you knew this could screw up Shaft severely and other turrets (like Isida) and *still released it*...what are we, beta testers? Why am I paying you money to let you keep giving me problems? Your definition of "shortly" is not my definition of "shortly" -- that much is obvious. Don't blame Flash for the problems: you wrote the code. Other games do not have these kinds of difficulties with every update. Maybe they have better quality control?
-
As a commentator, I suppose you use a supported browser and have the bug-free version of Shaft. Why some users with the exact same browser experience different conditions is one result of an overcomplicated hierarchy and a vast lack of quality control throughout the community. For the same reason, the moderators did not understand why the same people were committing the same violations again and again: the penalty was trivial and seldom enforced.
-
Would you care If the guy who is about to kill you is not your target, just because you have a friendly pass next to you?? I think so.
-
Rebalance was trivial -- having your controls malfunction sucks the mop. And some said the Early Ending wouldn't be removed. Guess what? It was. Sometimes you can go back and patch things. This looks more like "back it out and try again" with better code. Unless the patch code writers needed overtime. Really...couldn't this have waited for the migration to Unity?? PS Now I hear that the "easier" auto-aim is screwing up longtime Isida users because you get yanked off a target by any closer target, friend or foe. Real users (not testers) would have glommed onto that as a detriment, not an upgrade.

-100 I forgot to vote, I was so aggravated.

And what is the purpose of the game without players? (I think we all know what that is.) The game has attracted thousands of free users and paid users just the way it is. They don't need apologists; they need someone to make quality control before they screw up. As for boycotting being useless, wait until the financiers see the stats plummet and their lucrative enterprise going belly up trying to be everything to everybody. I can play other games and I will, until this is remedied or removed. You only have to look back one month to the *complete fail* of the fanboy sirens and "hurry up, noobs" of that early ending fiasco. Now no games end early, even when they should. Soon no one will be playing at all, much less with mouse controls. I have seen a 30% decline in new battles the last 3 days. What does that say??
-
Which does not eliminate all the glitches. Why was this buggy change implemented when they knew it would screw up the players??
-
More glitches. Maybe if people stop buying crystals they will get the message...and do some proper testing.
-
Yes, the turret starts spinning uncontrollably for no apparent reason. Stupid buggy update.
-
Yeah, and don't bother using Shaft if you have the mouse control enabled...or not!
-
Making auto-aim easier just ruins the skill level of the game. Plus you have totally screwed the non-mouse Shaft controls: crosshair circle is offset and useless, and if you fire in non-sniper mode it just shoots into the ground. And I'm on Firefox. Did no one test this with a wider customer base before saying it was ready to release??? This seems like "Early Ending Part II"...completely unworkable. Better clean up your act or you will kill the game. It would not be the first time that early success was spoiled by over-ambitious programmers. Who are you showing off for? I'll be back when you get it fixed.
-
Nope. It seems user-specific, since my Firefox (using the site) has the offset crosshairs since yesterday, and nothing I do fixes it. You can use mouse controls, but this only adds a smaller reticle (brackets) where it is going to shoot. Were mouse controls set to automatically trigger full-screen? I think it is another glitch.

Hmm. Some tinkering with Rico may have been done to make it a mid-range weapon, leaving Shaft, Rail, and Thunder the only reliable distance kills, with Smoky seemingly upgraded. Rico now seems to shoot only about 60 to 70m rather than 80m as advertised. Hammer seems to shoot almost that far (with a nice deadly pattern, too). I ranged both at Monte Carlo to test and sure enough, the Rico won't go corner to corner much farther than 70m while Hammer makes 60m straight across.

Two fly hackers at Garder CP
dfoofnik replied to dfoofnik in Two fly hackers at Garder CP Game Violation Reports
Two players using "fly hack" to reach the tops of blocks in Garder. mtyvneli_FX (video 4:50, 5:45, 9:20) - left before end but can be seen on roster at 8:28, 9:30 temo33 (video 6:00, 6:15 and mentioned on battle chat 5:00) Both can be seen atop the structure at 3:22 -- see magnified screenshot at Video: delete -
"Hey, why don't we have as many Shaft players buying crystals?" "I dunno. It's not like we totally screwed up the latest update again..." Time to take a week off while the devs clean the felgercarb out of their noodles.
-
 Was it written by the same guy who wrote the "super-fancy end game early update" that effectively *killed* early endings?
-
That's not the problem: mouse controls have a separate cursor for sniping and the old crosshairs are still there, uselessly offset.
-
Another interesting situation in Monte Carlo: I was on one team with 7 other players, and all seven were bunched up behind the flag! - no one guarding the left top - no one guarding the low bridge - no shafts shooting across the low bridge - no one going to capture the enemy flag from any of the 4 possible paths Now how could they expect to get a winning score, much less even get more than a few lucky shots at the enemy?? The only chance they had would be to get a 0-0 game and maybe kill a couple of attackers while being surrounded on 3 sides. I spawned at the top and could not get left post (enemy flag) or back to the low post (shooting from the back right corner). The crossfire was terrible for a lone tank. I do not think I could have survived to leave a mine by the flag. I stayed there for a couple of minutes and said "these guys do not deserve to play, much less to win" and left. They lost 10 to 0 and all but one left before the end. No discipline, no intelligence, no teamwork -- no crystals.

I use strictly Shaft and Viking, because you need that little edge sometimes. I see Hornets and Hunters with the big heads and they usually go down in one shot. I can take a normal M2 or even M3 hit, but if they have DD, I better have my armor on. The problem *for me* with using Dictator Shaft is that when you go to sniper mode, you are aiming over the enemy heads. :o It takes a second longer to lower the barrel before you can traverse. With Viking, there you are at chest level with anybody.
-
Yes, Ricochet is a problem at M2 and above because you can't shoot back (aggravating Smoky users do the same thing -- I like to pop their little 'pocky pocky' heads off at a distance with shaft). I find that the only thing I can do is wait foir them to exhaust their clip, use Repair, then Pop them twice while they are trying to reload. Some keep firing slowly because they think the next shot will kill me. I had the occasion to use Ricochet while my Shaft was sidelined due to bad code (aim circle offset) and a tendency for the turret to spin (more bad code). It was sufficiently powerful to dispatch a slew of Majors and Colonels in Subway. When they were using Rico also, my Desert paint proved much more effective than their reds and blues.

Some people reported server problems during a non-server update. The change in the later update (mouse controls?) screwed up some server connections in the US (California and New York reported this too).
