    Let's Discuss Ricochet!

Note where the Rico is located: near the beam at the top of the Blue Zone. He was sniping guys coming up the ramps. If I had been there, he would have one Lost at least, as I would climb the small platform and shoot him in the back. The key is that the attackers had fire from the other side, too. Also note that it is 9 against 3 for quite a long time.

    Let's Discuss Ricochet!

And hiding around the corner. One did me that at Serpuhov, with a mine to keep you from circling and killing him out of his aim zone. After three failures, I circled the other way and shot him in the back. -_-

Two players aggravating others on team after win

The battle ended because the other team left with about 20 minutes on the clock. The players "the_real_one" and "psykreal" were either bored or trying to get people to leave without their share of the battle fund. You can see them harassing me, shooting me, and they finally flipped me over, even after I had warned them of the possible consequences. Video: delete

    Bugs and Glitches Reports [Closed]

April 17 seems to be very bad for the servers: 1) Forum will not load a new page in the same window -- you have to open a new tab or window in Firefox 2) Load times are ridiculous for some battles, even those you have JUST PLAYED -- gave up after 4 minutes at 95% loaded At 5 minutes, you are removed for lack of activity, having never gotten into the battle. * If you refresh the window, the reload takes less than 2 minutes!

    Bugs and Glitches Reports [Closed]

It usually means that you have lagged out of the battle: you are not really hitting them, so zero damage is done. Try leaving that battle, and going back in, and you should be re-included. The lag happened to me and apparently no one could even see my tank.

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

I sincerely doubt that I would ever even want to try using it. If you went through what 60% of Shaft users went through, you would forget the complimentary commentary and do an exposé of the shoddy work by the devs on the last few updates. (most people completely forgot about that early ending fanboy fiasco)

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

Good news: crosshairs are back in place. Bad news: Spinning (consistently) is now spinning (frequently). To stop it, you have to waste time: go to sniping mode and turn in the same direction as the spin for a second, then shoot and reset. Sniping traverse is as slow as it used to be before the previous update: slow slow slow and doesn't accelerate properly. I think they broke the movement and fed it to the mouse.
  8. Devs get no credit for getting it right *the second time* -- Usable but much worse than before the update, when I was just ripping along to 4 star. I thought you said it was working fine for you the whole time?
  9. One of them. :( Have you tried shooting while spinning? Fortunately there *is* a way out : go to sniping mode and then traverse in the same direction as the spin... this unlocks the turn command. Unfortunately, while you are doing this, you will likely be shot and lose the battle.
  10. Why? Are they paying us?? If no one had complained, nothing would have been done. The only way to express our continued unhappiness with the update is to reinforce that efforts to fix them are SLOW and INCOMPLETE. Are we kicking them in the shin and distracting them? No.
  11. Laptop keys (1/4 to zero travel) can actually be 2 msec slower than a tactile-response keyboard if you have to hold them down (as I often do). Besides, your reaction time is much slower than that... However, I grant that the WASD keys might be easier to use than the smaller buttons found on some HP keyboards (not sure why they need such a huge DELETE button -- that could be a problem because of the self destruct).
  12. Well, the spinning has just cost me two battle wins in Monte Carlo. Looks like I'll be gone for a week after all, until they can fix ALL the bugs they managed to introduce into Shaft.
  13. Yeah, mine are VERY sluggish and if I press rotate and then go to sniping mode, the spin continues and cannot be stopped at all. Oddly enough, the much ballyhooed "turret rotation speedup" that "nitro" is supposed to provide has been rendered almost completely worthless by the latest update. This means less nitro is being used even than before. Full rotation base M3 shaft : 17 seconds (21 degree/sec) Full rotation with speedup : 16 seconds (22 degree/sec) This is MUCH LESS than the original specs, or the faster update. By contrast, the turning speed is 72 degrees per second (less than the stated 90).
  14. Yes. And not just Shaft: other players with other turrets find themselves spinning for no reason. When will these bugs finally be fixed?

    Harassing teammates, sabotage plesvasile

The player plesvasile (Lt. Col, twins) was harassing teammates instead of fighting enemy at Noise. Video: delete Roster screenshot : http://s1127.photobucket.com/user/dfoofnik/media/plesvasile.png.html Shooting teammate at start of video, different teammate at 0:35 (accidentally killed 1 enemy), flipped teammate at 1:26, continued pushing Shaft at 3:10, 3:30, 3:50, 4:30, 4:50, 5:08, 5:24, 6:15, 6:40 (end of battle).
  16. Don't rest on your laurels yet: Shaft still locks up the turret: - rotation feels like mud - wrong way traverse (left/right or up/down) - uncontrollable spinning (pressing the same way on keyboard doesn't work) Also saw an Isida with no working "beam", so that's not fixed entirely either. At least Shaft is usable again. Made my *final upgrade* and now it's up to Tanki devs to keep me here. Next screw-up and you'll have heard the last of me (and a few thousand other players - check the stats!)... Give us at least *ONE* update for 2015 that we can vote thumbs up.
  17. Read the whole thread, please. The refund part is because players who paid to upgrade their Shafts could not use them. I lost more than 50,000 XP because my Shaft could not be used the last 8 days of my 30 day Score Multiplier (also called: "With higher ranks, you end up fighting tougher opponents...so you better get to M3 asap!").
  18. Why? Were they forced at gunpoint to add the incomplete, buggy, and (for some) unworkable update onto the site? Not ready? Simple...don't add it!
  19. Welcome to the club. Minus 139 (- 139) and counting, except for people who it doesn't affect saying we shouldn't complain... "Heads will roll...because heads are round (unless this explains the development problems...) http://www.thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/justintaylor/files/2012/09/boxhead.jpg

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

The only advantage to have practically NO workable Shafts in Monte Carlo is that I can use my Railgun paint and more or less ignore those shots. It isn't until the upgraded M3's that Railgun overpowers the armor and paint. I forgot to use it on Serpuhov and got killed repeatedly by railguns.

    Let's Discuss Vulcan!

No, overheating should do more damage, because we have people firing for 30 or 40 seconds, and the only cure is a sneaky Shaft shot or pushing them backward over a mine. You almost have to attack Vulcan from two opposing directions, so that one guy takes the damage while the other shoots it repeatedly with impunity. For those who don't mind being sitting ducks, it is practically OP.
  22. Duh. If I could turn off what this update does, I would have. 39 pages of people saying that the "on or off" of the mouse controls doesn't work, or their browsers aren't supported, or there's no cursor, and you say just turn it off. Why didn't I think of that? Okay, then, give me your account for a week, while you sit on your hands and hold your horses as they fix something that they knew was broken and released anyway. I just essentially lost the last 8 days of my 30-day score doubler.
  23. How about we just DON'T LIKE mouse controls? This isn't a training exercise where we have to get good at *everything* -- a 9 year old can play better than either of us. The point is not to screw up what people enjoy doing. Now go learn your mouse controls if you want to. I will not learn to live with it eventually, thanks. I will just leave and spend my time and money somewhere else.
  24. I was speaking to the "culture of complacency" that I can now see is rife in the site operation. We suffer, they don't, so no problem.
  25. We are all happy for you. Now make us happy and take out the update if they can't fix it.
