  1. Here's your solution: Get Shaft, use it, see for yourself. The developers are well aware of the problem and what caused it. They are too busy doing other piddling things to fix it, and they can't take it out without screwing it up further. And we need pressure on the devs, not mystified apologists.
  2. Same here. We know the problem is due to co-opting the controls for mouse control, because they have written TWO CONFLICTING CODES to do the same thing when it comes to Shaft. No one knew that their JAVA was so bungled until they implemented it, and turning off the mouse control does not solve the problem. Obviously it is not affecting the top players or they would be here grousing about that stupidity along with us.

    Blast Damage, phooey. I would settle for my Shaft sniping mode to stop POINTING TO THE SKY two or three times every battle. It seems incompetence that this known problem could not have been addressed in the month since it was foisted on us as part of the stupid mouse controls.

    Well, this was pretty sucky: I bought the "unlimited supplies" for 70 crystals but apparently it didn't work right. Sometimes the number values are missing, and some won't work until after you use a different one first. (I noticed this with mines in Highways and some other battles: you can't use a mine until you use DA or DD first) The supplies were completely unavailable in some early battles, and didn't work right in others. Advice: clear your cache completely if you buy unlimited, and use them all first on some empty battle before taking them in harm's way.

    At the higher ranks, we see 1000, 1200, 1500 of every power-up at 65% to 75% off. And the special Mayday Melee on May 9 should be interesting --- unlimited drugs for 70 crystals?! The true test will be to see how non-druggers fumble with the cooldowns. Here's a hint: always get the DD (3) or DA (2) *before* you drop a mine, otherwise the cooldown screws you over. And don't drop a mine if you think you're going to need a Repair (1) in the next 30 seconds.

    I had M2 Twins for about 2 days. Something was wrong with the firing rate, only slightly faster than Rico fires. M3 works fine, if you amp up the impact enough. I always have to aim down against Twins when using Shaft. Don't know how a railgun does it face-to-face.

    There is a glitch in Twins M2, so I had to get M3. The firing rate was way too low, kind of like a Rico with too much caffeine. The M3 fires particularly strong and steady.
  9. Yup. Says it all. And I am still using Shaft on battles like Monte Carlo and Madness. ("Madness? This..is...Spasmic!")
  10. At least 3 times each 30 minutes I get this glitch: 1 spin 1 aim straight up 1 aim straight down This is a crappy patch on the mouse control programming, that was supposed to emulate Shaft for other turrets. What a concept.

    If the loading takes more than 1 minute, hit refresh. This usually works for me when the English servers "leave me on hold." :(

    Yeah, well, I have been the victim of being atop a self-destructing tank -- dint kill me but it flipped me! I saw a double-self-destruct in the pit at Polygon that flipped EVERYBODY ! It looked like the bugs on the kitchen floor in the morning.

    Yes, but smoky (like hammer) is suited to the melee-type of battle. It does have two advantages, in that it does not reload and it can hit opponents at longer distances. The disadvantage is that you need some help, because (unlike Hammer) Smoky does not have a one-kill on nearby enemies. I personally like Twins, because when you respawn up on the "balcony" you can lay a withering fire on the pit. But I've used all three. (I don't use Vulcan because I like to be able to move and I don't think I'll ever get that move/fire coordination down pat. Most players are still stuck standing still while using Vulcan, because the left hand and right hand are trying to do two separate things)

    Well, they seem to have reduced the Shaft turret spinning by a bit...now instead, it randomly points up in the air or down into the ground. Sterling work, eh?

    Well, I'm being cheap on upgrading my M3 Shaft, but to takes its place, I bought the M3 Smoky, which I hadn't used seriously since Sergeant. I know the shot has a big booming Thunder sound to the player himself, but to everyone else, it's this annoying "pocky pocky" sound, and using Smoky against me is guaranteed to turn up the Double Damage on my Shaft! (pocky pocky pocky PA-KOW -- no more Smoky tank) I also don't appreciate the little dance they do trying to avoid Rails and Shafts...it just ticks me off, so I back off a few meters and (you guessed it) PA-KOW... On Monte carlo, there are some tough aiming problems with Smoky for some reason: firing too low from flag to flag. As a Smoky, I kept getting my Viking undercut by these steroidal Hammers. Fortunately payback is a slam-wham from outside Hammer range!

    See 4671 and 4672 -- this is the remaining glitch from the Mouse Control Update (aka POC) -- some random key, usually when you respawn, will start the spinning and you have to go to sniper mode and rotate the same direction to stop it. A bad thing that happens at the worst times.

    Attention M3 Isidas: I bought the Irbis paint so when you see the spotted white "snow leopard" with DA, do not even try to suck me dry. You will get almost done when I use DD and blast you back to the vampire spawning area. Do you get the idea that I really hate Isidas attacking me? Especially when they arrogantly face off with me. At least the ones that dance provide some amusement before they die. -_- The only good Isida is the one behind you refilling you when you are running with a flag. ;)

    Trying to see if I'm the only one who keeps going into a spin two or three times a battle. Is anyone else experiencing this with Shaft and what are you doing about it? I have to sniper-aim, then use the directional, and sometimes it just starts again when I respawn. It HAS to be those furshlugginer mouse controls (that somebody spent a lot of wasted time developing) that practically no one will use. But I have them turned off. :(

    Are we EVER going to see a patch/fix to stop Shaft from spinning uncommanded at random times?? This is happening to me every battle, always at the worst time? Does anyone know a foolproof way to stop it from happening?

    A "brainwashed life" would not include staying up all night taking care of sick kids or injured cats. You overthink reality when you try to intellectualize something that is by its nature unknowable.

    The problem with incremental rewards is, like you say, people will bail out if the going gets tough, just because they can make more crystals elsewhere. Why stay on a losing side when you've made your reward? That kind of defeats the "team battle" concept, as flawed as it may be. Well, if the pain gets to be too much, you can still keep your score, just not your rewards. You only have to play every 5 minutes, although you can't pick whether you will pop up and get killed or pop up and improve your score. (That happened to me on Massacre when everybody else left...I just waited for someone new to join and went along with them until I got killed.)
