Regular battles on RU3 and RU4 (the most active servers most of the day). On the weekend, 7 consecutive Rio battles were raided!
-
Actually, it looks like you were FIGHTING mice... 127 losses compared to 182 sounds like an advantage using ANY controls.
-
Well, it was bound to happen. The "spinning glitch" cost me nearly 300 crystals even though it only happened ONCE in the whole battle. The one time I needed to respawn, in the right spot, at the right time...and i couldn't shoot. I got killed, the enemy captured our flag, and instead of 600 crystals I ended up with a little over 300. 6 weeks since bad programming ADDED this stupid glitch (yes, it was never there before), and they can't find a way to take it out for good?? Sounds vaguely inept, doesn't it?

I was attacked by a tough Isida on Serpuhov TDM: came right up to my Shaft face-to-face daring me to try to win. I shot it once to little effect, and then *another* Isida came up and undid the damage. :( Here's where experience comes in. I powered up to full sniping mode and...aimed back and killed the 2nd isida! Then I ran like h*ll while the first isida was trying to comprehend what just happened. ;)

I've actually seen some battles (Monte Carlo, Serpuhov, Kungur) where pratically all players were shafts. This was before the PROBLEMS with the turret. Also, Highways can be predominantly Shafts if players don't realize that the team with fewer shafts will have more offense, and the game will likely be a loss or draw for the all-shafts.
-
This is extraordinarily unlikely. The programming would block one or add one to each team. More likely is that someone added a "player" to the Blue Team, and then once the 9th Red joined, he left. This is a common practice (mults and shills) and nothing can be done about it at this time, although many have clamored for it.
-
Yeah, but at least at the top end you will get to see it jump at Monte Carlo. If I want my Viking to jump, I have to get shot in the butt. :o

At least 2/3 of the buyers use mobile, PayPal, or direct credit. Money is money. Unfortunately VISA does not consider "entertainment" an enforceable service contract given the EULA. Still, a class action could cost Tanki a lot of attorney's fees, so hopefully they have another level of legal protection. Or do you mean use somebody else's credit card?

Some Isidas (M3+) seem much more powerful than they should be. Is there some secret parameter that is reserved to a favored few??
-
More on "when Isidas fail" -- I know they need to refill the health of team members, and I know when they can be invaluable. But sometimes, Isidas, learn WHEN TO GET OUT OF THE WAY. They previously irked me when I could not move, aim, turn, or back up at Monte Carlo. The only thing, apparently, that the two Isidas could find to do was refill each little glitch caused by a Smoky to my health level. Today, at Serpuhov, the winning capture ESCAPED me when an Isida got right in my face after I was shot. I had 3/4 health, and my Hammer was about to pulverize the flag thief. Did the isida attack him? No. Did the isida go behind me? No. Did the Isida cost us the battle? Yes. I think they added that "yanking" effect, too, just to penalize the guys receiving the health. You cannot steer precisely as either a victim or a beneficiary when the "energy rope" is pulling at you. It has been also known to pull Isidas right into mines.

Beware of raiders in Kungur on the Russian servers: there are shills playing on your team who will not capture the flag, which might keep raiders away or it MIGHTbe a cohort waiting for them to arrive! One player, in the lead for points, evidently decided no one else would be allowed to capture, and held the enemy flag until the raiders arrived. He got his share but everyone else was screwed out of rewards when the raiders outscored them.

Did I miss something? My fully-MUed Viking is too slow to jump at Monte Carlo, but Hunter is now both faster *and* stronger??? Somebody made some tweaks here that does not follow the logical progression "larger, slower tanks have more armor" v/v Hunter and Viking. It looks like I could take an M3 Hunter up to near-Hornet speed and greater armor than Viking??? The Wiki stats are all outdated, so someone should update what the garage is pointing to...

Nope. I know all about lag, and it tends to be indiscriminate. The chance that it only happened at certain times in the battle shows that it may have been "induced lag" which as we all know is a possible hack. When my lag goes up, things freeze and then play out all at once. When ping reaches 500+, nothing you do has any effect because it reaches the server too late. The "rewind effect" is something i have seen before, and it was usually at some remarkably convenient time for an enemy.

Well, when you get to the highest ranks, "drugs" are the only difference between MUed M3's. It takes quite a bit of planning when to use them. They make the difference between one-shot kills and one-shot deaths with Shaft! The guy who turns on his DA before embarking will find it unavailable to save his butt at the other end of the trip. On the other hand, if you can pick one up as you leave, you can travel in safety and buy one when that runs out (assuming you haven't used a mine or DD in the last 30 seconds). Drugs are what let Shafts stay put instead of running.
-
Tanki does NOT want to make drugs unaffordable : quite the contrary. By making it cheaper to use drugs, they encourage non-druggers to get/buy them to remain competitive. Like MICRO-UPGRADES (the drug that no one thinks is a drug), where you can't stay at the base levels and be able to beat people of your same rank. Hence, the struggle by players to earn crystals and the very great incentive to buy them.
-
There you go. But this topic seems to have gotten rather inbred, so if you don't mind, I will also make my feelings known where there is a larger audience and possibly some influence to be exerted.
-
The entire concept of "drugging is bad" is a fallacy: Tanki sells them, gives them away, and they can be either an equalizer or an overpowering advantage, depending on who uses them. So are PAID UPGRADES, except that you pay more for the privilege of having greater power all the time, and not just when the SCD's let you. I have upgraded, and I "drug" (use tank enhancers) when the tactical position demands it. Should I just die after reaching the flag, or use repair and capture it? Am I letting down my team if I say "well, it's not fair to the other team"... They are part of the game, as are the basic inequalities between the strengths of players. Skill, experience, and teamwork can help the weaker side, but also the stronger side. The only general parity is between same ranks. What bothers me is the abuse of strength and experience (raids, loading teams with useless mults, sabotage, trolls) because these are not "tactics" but rather an arrogant abomination of the principles of fair play, without which no enterprise of this sort can survive. I did sabotage a game once, simply by inaction: I left my team, joined the other team, and stood in the way for 30 seconds so that my old team could eke out a win (it might have been a raid, but it failed). I benefited from another raid because I was the last player left from the original team. I also engaged in an overwhelming defeat of a weaker enemy (364 to 165 in a 30 minute TDM). Only the last of the three was legitimate, and I know the difference. Some people can't tell. Many don't care what they have to do to "win" ...

Make railguns have to really aim at you. :P
-
Yes, as in "we are sick" of stupid changes that add nothing and don't address real problems.
-
Glad mouse controls work for you. I want the keyboard controls to work. So stop making excuses, being defeatist, and try contacting people like I have who have influence over the game. They will fix it, but not until they devote some real effort. Mouse controls suck and will always suck.
-
I have resorted to using "Mr. Pocky" (M3 Smoky) but there is no one-kill for poor Mr. Pocky. I've seen them sit there and shoot me 6 times on Madness hoping for a critical hit, or that they will knock my aim off every time (no...sadly...they die).
-
Why were they all on M2 Hornets? Does no one want to be denied a chance to jump for the flag?? Give me a whole team of Hornets at MC!! All I get is invulnerable Shaft Vikings like me!
-
This happens when the video feed is corrupted. It can be as simple as cached bad code, or as complicated as a timed switch between handware on the servers. You still get the sound, right?? Happened to me, so I paused, opened the Tanki site in another window, went to another server, and when I came back the video was restored! My first instinct was to leave the battle, but I couldn't have gotten back in.
-
Someone manipulating Russian servers? Three times in the same battle, I saw an enemy get destroyed, only to have the scene rewind and play again, this time with the enemy surviving and the (successful) attacker destroyed instead. It seems like someone is monkeying with the servers from within the battle.

Count yourself lucky. It ain't fixed.
