    N.O.O.B.

This is why you use supplies when playing parkour. I was having some random fun with Plasma Torch/Wasp but I didn't want to use Double Armor or Repair Kits because I wanted to live dangerously I probably thought that would be a waste. I could have made a lot more progress if I wasn't such a cheapskate lol

    4 Shafts, 3 with Heavy Capacitors ? I didn't get a screenshot but lol95_cool was using HC Shaft/Dictator

    Summer is ending, what's up?

Oh yeah, I totally know what you're talking about. I've been on vacation to places with a drier, more desert-like climate, and the heat is definitely more manageable over there. It's still hot, don't get me wrong, but it's definitely easier to escape and the shade actually feels useful. So far this year, fall has been almost nonexistent and it only feels like a slightly cooler summer. But then again, it's only mid-September so there's plenty of time for it to get colder. As for rain, the past month or so has had a lot of it, definitely more than average. I can't complain at all, I like the rain and how it makes everything cooler outside, and the sound of the rain (while I'm inside of course) is kinda calming.

    Summer is ending, what's up?

I used to like summer because of my birthday and no more school, but now that I've graduated from high school and I now live in a hot and humid area of the United States, that season has really grown off of me. On the other hand, I've started to like fall and winter more than I used to. It's kinda hard to say exactly why.

How many of you guys got vaccinated?

I haven't, for two reasons. I don't feel a need to get it because I don't really get out that much to begin with due to being an introvert and whatnot. There's also the can of worms about how the vaccine's effectiveness is questionable and it also has negative side-effects, but that's not something I'll get into because I don't know whether that would be allowed or not.

    Nerfing the shaft (turret)

I brought up this point in a conversation about Shaft on Discord but I'll post it here too, where more people can see it and give their opinions. I think that the problem with Shaft lies in Heavy Capacitors and not really for the other augments. Something needs to be done about it, probably with the charging time but I'm not sure. The reason I think that it lies in that augment and not really for any others is because 90% of Shaft users use Heavy Capacitors. Stock, Short-band Emitter, Light Capacitors, and Adrenaline are practically extinct in MM apart from the random outliers, but those are few and far between. Rapid-fire Mode still gets used for some reason, including by campers even though that augment really discourages camping. AP Shaft isn't that common either, and same with Healing Shaft although I've found that if people have it, they'll use it because it's a way to show off. Not many people have it though, and I think it'll suffer the same fate as most UC augments where it gets replaced by something new. As a sidenote, people say that Healing Emitters is OP but I feel like it's balanced because arcades have kind of a weak firing rate. Shaft isn't a high-DPS melee turret like Isida so even if you scope to heal, a well-timed shot from a Gauss/Magnum/Shaft or a melee turret can easily out-DPS a Healing Emitters Shaft. There's also the strategic downfall where you're weakening your offensive firepower because any shot you make to heal is a shot that could have been made to kill. If I encounter any other Shaft augment in MM, they're generally rather manageable foes but Heavy Capacitors is so powerful that I feel obligated to put on my 50% Shaft protection.

    Bugs and Glitches Reports

The cooldown numbers for a supply activated from your inventory behave like this: 60 -> 30 -> 0, where the supply wears off at 30 and you have to wait until 0 before you can use it again. The cooldown numbers for a supply activated by a pickup behave like this: 30 -> 0, where you can activate another supply right as it wears off. There's a bug where a supply activated from your inventory has cooldowns like a supply from a box, but after the supply wears off it starts from 30 again. (30 -> 0 -> 30 -> 0) I don't know what triggers it, it could be random for all I know. Here are some screenshots.

    Complaint Book

I have no idea what happened with the game and the servers since the last server restart but the game has been giving me really bad FPS drops and ping spikes. I normally have FPS in the low 40s to mid 50s depending on the map, where I am in the action and other factors. But lately my FPS has been dropping down DRASTICALLY for the most mundane actions. I pressed Tab (which is already notorious for FPS drops) and it went down to 10. I drove down a ledge in Solikamsk with my Crusader and it went down to 3 FPS. THREE. I've also getting ping spikes for completely random reasons at random times. I have changed nothing from my usual play habits. I have nothing open except for Spotify and the Tanki client (which I keep in fullscreen). Oh and these are my graphic settings:
  9. I would say EMP Immunity is better. Freezing isn’t that great of an effect now that it has more effect on the turret instead of the hull (you can just move the hull to help move the turret). Also, Freezing doesn’t make you die quickly unlike EMP.

    Let's Discuss Drones!

I don’t know about that last part. At least in the Legend ranks, the game is less “You don’t need supplies” and more “You need a drone” However, not much has changed regarding drone use in battles. There are still meta drone users, and some non-meta drone users, but there are also a lot of droneless Legends. It’s just more obvious now that you can do more damage to them.

    Let's discuss Tesla!

I’ve only ever used Stock Tesla (and only for 1.5 hours), but on paper the Acceleration Protocol augment sounds better. At short ranges you can shoot it at people to do a lot of damage. As for Minus-field, I can’t think of very many applications for it outside of convenience in cramped maps like Cologne or Kolhoz. Those are just my theories, maybe someone who’s used these augments can say how they actually fare.

    Let's Discuss Drones!

If you have no drone, it does only 50% more damage. Buying a drone and upgrading it increases your supply power until you have a maxed out drone, where it’s like the old DD. also they’re called Boosted Armor and Boosted Damage now.

    Nerfing the shaft (turret)

Nerf camping Shafts* Heavy Capacitors is way too good right now.
  14. Yep, Gear Score was definitely considered when I was thrown in this battle.
  15. Boooring Challenge, at least the previous one had a good animated paint.
  16. I totally agree. I seem to always get put on the defending team when I have Hopper equipped and have a mission to capture some flags.
  17. I got two containers from today's daily missions, and one of them gave me the Eclipse effect for Shaft. Not only does it look great, but I finally have every Shot Effect for Shaft! The first one I got was Blue, way back in July 2019:

    eSports Tanki Fund

Are there previews for the team paints? Also, will they stay in the garage or will they eventually get removed?
  20. I don’t think a player starting and then leaving is (always) due to disliking the game. There are plenty of games that I started and liked but never played very much because it never developed into a habit or strong enough interest to keep playing. Or maybe because there were other games that already occupied my free time. For me there have been long periods (spanning years) where I didn’t play Tanki for various reasons. Updates to the game had no part in this and it was because I started playing other games or just didn’t have a way to play Tanki regularly (From 2011-2016 I either had to use the family computer or go to the library. I got a laptop in 2016 but that was more of a tablet that ran Windows 10. I only had a decent laptop starting from 2019. Funnily enough, I only started actively and consistently playing Tanki around that time.)
  21. I'm surprised it's been aroud for that long tbh. I thought it came around 2013-14 or so.

    Tanker's Day

Are you trying to artificially inflate your reputation score? Or maybe you're trying to create a favorable view of your opinions so people like Marcus see it and think that's what people want? All of your posts have several alt accounts giving it positive ratings. All of these accounts have no posts and a large amount joined a mere 12 hours ago. Some more posts where this happens

    Purchases you regret

We all have things that we bought but didn't live up to our expectations. Sometimes they end up working out, but sometimes that one item will just sit in the garage, collecting dust and/or rust. So, post your pain! I'll start with a few that I remember off the top of my head. Railgun M2 - Back in summer of 2019, I reached First Lieutenant and decided to buy Railgun M2, which was my second M2 turret. I ended up buying it and played a couple of battles, paired with my other new M2, Dictator. Little did I know that Railgun is a pretty mediocre turret without augments, and I was constantly struggling to get a kill. I was really disappointed and gave up on it for a little while. Things did turn around though. Fast forward a little more time and I heard that Round Destabilization was a good augment for around my rank. I decided to buy it during a sale and used it with Hornet (back when you did full damage for the duration of the Overdrive), and had good results. I stopped using it after a while as I moved on to other turrets like Gauss and Shaft though. Rapid-fire Mode - In late 2019/early 2020, I was a relatively new Shaft user and I found it pretty fun. I reached Colonel and unlocked Rapid-fire Mode. I noticed that it was my last remaining Shaft augment so I decided to buy it. (I don't remember if it was during a sale. It probably was lol) I took it for a few battles but I guess my Shaft wasn't quite strong enough to get kills with the three arcades. I didn't usually see the health bars, but I have a feeling that my targets still had a small amount of health left. Disappointed, I shelved it and went back to my usual augments. Fast forward a few months and Shaft got the reload buff. I took out Rapid-fire Mode again because the space between arcades was really short. My equipment was still not quite on par (this time with Mk7s) so I wasn't getting great results. Like last time, I went back to my usual augments. I don't think I've used it since because there are so many better Shaft augments to use. Trickster - This is actually a super recent regret (a couple hours ago or so). I had previously had good results with Mammoth/Trickster (Trickster being about halfway MUed) so I decided to go all the way. I got it to Level 20 and took it for a spin with a few combinations, such as Titan/Shaft, Isida/Hunter, Striker/Hunter, Vulcan/Mammoth, and Shaft/Dictator. The speed turned out to be too much and it was hindered my Isida's ability to latch on, and my Striker's ability to lock on to a target (even with Missile Launcher "Hunter"). The results were pretty good with Vulcan/Mammoth but I don't see it as a worthwhile drone except for with Titan or Mammoth.
