We were discussing non-"experiment" battles. Which is why the person I was talking to likes the "experiment" - no longer one-shot.

Rail with LCR... avg damage is 1640 which is .... less than 2000. Smoky crit does 800 damage. How the heck is that gonna one-shot a light hull. Can't even do it with DD. Anything else you suggest is once-in-a-blue moon chance. We need to consider AVERAGE outcomes not the outliers. And now maybe you answer my question about how fun it is to try to kill a tank with 24,000 health.

There's only 3 turrets that can one-shot a light hull... Shaft + Magnum + maybe Gauss. The rest need DD. So start using some DAs and protection modules. Or move your tank around some. Harder to hit a moving target - right? And you like trying to kill a Mammoth with 24,000 health? ?

In defense of most of the comments... many of the recent VLOGS have been very weak. It's been treated like a rented mule.

That's exactly what happened in a battle a few weeks ago. My team got the lead and were split 4 + 4 on two islands. Enemy team had 6 tanks on the 3rd and two others we stomped on. In chat I told the other team they need to jump or lose. They refused and lost.

It needs something that makes it harder to use. It's ridiculous enough as it is.

You are upset Hornet no longer has a "God-Mode-ON" Overdrive? Recruits never had access to mk7s. You had to have an m2 and upgrade that to m2.10 to get mk7 in the conversion. The conversion happened a long time ago, and it's obvious Pinch has not played since then. The 2x exp would have caused this player to rank well above the current rank. Yeah they botched the conversion. But in the long run it's better overall as no new tankers can get that same power now. They have to rank up a lot just to get mk5s.

Yup. Not really worth going into a CTF battle when hoppers with Dfender will just waltz in, take the flag, run away under heavy fire and cap. And on these small maps it does not take long. Most battles lately have been 5-1 or 5-0. Or 70-10 in Assault. They may have nerfed Defender some before but now it's back to it's full strength since turret damage is not doubled. Going into a battle without Defender or Crisis is a waste of time.

I agree with 95% of your post - but - that has nothing to do with extra protection for light hulls. Light hulls are not insta-killed by 70% of the turrets. Shaft, Magnum and maybe gauss. All other turrets require DD which is negated by DA OR a module. Light hulls "defense" is their speed. On most maps they can get under cover easily and are not subject to multiple hits in succession. And nothing prohibits light hulls from equipping drones like Defender. I've lost count of the number of hornets and hoppers that were all but "unkillable" - capping flags and scoring goals at will.

Reduction in battle time is terrible. You discount the waiting time between battles which basically offsets any extra battles played. I have yet to enter a battle with 5 minutes on the clock. So with fewer kills due to double health, reaching the 70 score threshold is much harder. Team scores an early cap because they loaded faster than opposition and battle is over. 6 vs 6 is not good. Mults on your team (Yes, there ARE mults) hurt your team a lot more when it's 5 vs 6 as opposed to 7 vs 8. I stopped playing TX in part because of the stupid penalty for leaving battles. There are many reasons for leaving battles besides the score. Penalizing players never works. Never.

Thought they were doubling the energy pool - which eventually allows it to do 2x the damage... but not DPS.

Afterburn is hardly what makes it OP. The ability to stun (exactly like Hunter) and avoid defenses like walls and mines are what makes it OP.

Assault is broken for 2 weeks. Defenders can't win. I equipped Defender drone on my Hunter-Ricco and went 6-for-6 on attack. I won't play defense in that mode.

Just finished a CTF battle with 2 viking Isidas equipped with defender drones. 3 of us could not kill either one. It was just ridiculous. This double-health is really, really stupid.

Titans domes are not much more effective than they were before. 1) one of those many Titans you mention will disable yours and 2) AP augments will show up more - ignoring the dome and 3) hornets individually took a nerf BUT their entire team can stomp the Titan if the hornet activated in sight of that Titan. I see more wasps. Good luck inflicting 4000/8000/12000 damage before they close the distance and drop their bomb or freeze you or burn you with Incendiary augment. Why the heck should light hulls get that kind of advantage?
