Depends on what else you want to buy/upgrade. If nothing else - why not? You might want to consider alterations ... as they may not be available in garage in future. I'm currently at 19/20 - see not reason to shell out for that last MU.

Hadn't even thought of that - there won't be any vulan-hornets with afterburn protection. But the Vulcan hornets will just fire in shorter bursts or equip the alt that gives less overheating. Either way you are correct - we will be back to hornet online.

I guess with no afterburn protection in modules anything that adds fire damage will be the best choice. Dragons breath it is...

Our modules are taking a hit though. What are you going to do when you are battling firebirds with compact tanks or freeze or any other turret with afterburn alteration?

This just increases the gap between buyers and non-buyers. And because of this change our modules are getting nerfed. Average Joe has no way to defend against Freeze or fire with compact tanks.

They should ALL be available in the garage - just like turret alts were. But then again - turret alts came with a downside. Do we even know if there is a down-side for hull alts. And don't forget they nerfed our modules too. It's pure cash-grab, on game-changing items.

Hornet + any high-damage turret - because it get one-shot kills even on medium hulls. So Gauss, Magnum, Rail and vulcan are all popular with hornet htese days.

Only during special events according to the video. Unless you have almost every item in the "category" already in your garage, getting a hull alt will be as rare as seeing a unicorn unless - you also buy a bunch of them. Average Joe from Gismo on down has no real hope of obtaining these alts. The fact they nerfed the modules we spent hundreds of thousands of crystals on just adds insult to injury.

We expect some aspect of reasonableness - and got none. "we replaced ordinary containers" is quite misleading - no? They are only replaced during special events. The odds of (anyone who is not a Legend that already has every paint) getting a hull alteration are similar to winning the lottery.
