A whole team? Are they just waiting for it to arrive? Playing cards as it drives toward them? Sure every now and then a Hunter catches a few enemies off guard. And just as often it dies before the EMP even goes off. It's no sure thing. Hunter has been relegated to a niche usefulness. An OD that provides little in the way of battle score - as in your example it did the hard work and it's "fully juiced" team-mates wiped out the stunned enemies - probably with their own ODs.

Why? because they are too lazy to code Gauss and Hunter EMPs separately. If a 3rd item has an EMP it will be the same as well. Also - it has better reload than stock, right? Ah nuts - At_Shin beat me to it...

This is crap. A lot of stock firebird damage came from afterburn. Are you suggesting we should never have been able to protect ourselves from that. That most turrets can be protected by 50% max ... but not firebird? Same with any of the incendiary alts for non-firebirds. Why would I use stock smoky - where targets get 50% DR? But against incendiary alt - they take a lot of unprotected burning damage. What is anyone who are not lucky enough to get a hull alt supposed to do? JUst burn?

I guess your equipment matters. But in Assault or CTF... keeping the flag is so important. If there's an isida guarding flag or worse - chasing you ... stun defense would be better

Did not even see that on the first page. Wow. Why would you use EMP immunity when supply cooldown is 8 seconds. CTF or Rugby players will all have that Stun immunity on.

watch it again - specifically mentions "exclusively during special events". There's not a chance they give you Ultra Containers for finishing weekly missions.

Ultra Containers are not replacing regular containers. They are only offered during special events - that's what they meant by "available for missions" - special missions.

So they destroy that aspect by going from 30 to 5. Then move it up slightly to 8 where it sits 73% below what it was originally... and some people say it's "buffed". LMAO.

Patch notes say 5 seconds. Even IF it's actually 8 seconds, that's still -73% from what it was before.

If they are playing they are ranking up. If they are not ranking up, they are not playing much. The two are inclusive - you can't do one without the other. Either way regular players won't see them for long - unless the regular players are grinding (and keeping up). Their choice to do that. But this is small potatoes compared to what they are doing with alterations and modules - that is what will break the game.

It does seem like the last gasping breath of the dying. The desperation is palpable. I'm retiring one account and may do so with the other. It's just dumb.

The irony is... Thunder & Rail have nothing to do with the changes they are making. Absolutely nothing.

From the video it sounds like ALL alterations will only be avaiable in the containers. No more turret alts in the garage.

Two things. 1) Clearly the IM alt is OP and a dumb decision by Devs 2) Either way you will die. One is not better than the other if both are OP and both kill you

That's not my take-away from watching the video. They said all alterations, including turret, will be available in Ultra Containers. Then they said alterations (no specific mention of "hull") will no longer be avaialble for crystals or TKs. And since only turret alts are available for crystals it's safe to assume turret alts are included in the "only".

Clearly you forget my fire module still protects from straight damage - which is what Incendiary mix does. My fire module only protects against part of what compact tanks does. The afterburn will do more total damage vs enemies with fire module.

I respect and hate you equally for that.

I'm sure there will be a few mods that "earn" one of the hull alterations from the containers. Then they post on here what they got and how great the rewards are.

Every fire user will equip compact tanks now. A 1-second kiss of flame means certain death.

This is absolutely insane. - Our current Fire and Freeze modules have been nerfed and no longer reduce afterburn or freezing - We can't buy in garage the alts that would make up for this - Even if we got lucky enough to snag a hull alt in a container - do we get to choose whatalt that is? This game is lost. Your masters really have lost their minds. Are they purposely trying to drive away players? Guess what - it's working.

That would be so ridiculous - I would not put it past them to try that. I certainly don't see then available in garage for Hunter alterations. Only shows stock.
