Interesting question... you can't have 2 "basic hulls" of same type and your XT hull will become basic. You definitely will have an XT skin. That m2 hornet will likely disappear. Don't think a ruling has been made on whether you will be compensated for the loss of the redundant m2 hull.

I concur on striker comment - supplies like speed on enemy tanks make it useless in many instances. Isida - you don't necessarily need supplies if you play more defensive role - healing at least 50% of your time or more. Freeze is similar - in defensive role prevents flag carrier from escaping so really helps team in CTF. Smoky will get you score (but not necessarily kills) as you score even if someone else destroys it after you hit it. Same for Ricco (always equip the MFS Alteration - always). But since you have short+medium range, go for a longer range turret or invest more in modules - the longer you survive the longer the few supplies you use will last. Also... stay away from missions that require kills, or DM. Those are supply-hogs.

Might buy it on next sale seeing as my Striker is not working out very well as a long-range weapon... without salvo it suks.

Depends on how much chat. Battle tactics are not really the same as "chatting". I've seen some players spend way more time talking than playing - even as we lose the battle. And some not a peep - even when you ask them to activate that white star that has been sitting on their tank for 4 minutes. Driving/fighting mixed with communication on the actual battle in Team Battles is preferred. So no I don't agree server-merging was good since... useless chat still exists and i still end up on teams I can't communicate with.

8 different turrets from m0-m1 - yikes! And wasp + hornet - ooops! You will need an M2 medium hull - there are a few kits from W05 & up that have medium hulls. Viking is arguably the best medium hull at M2, but Hunter is decent at that M-level as well. Other way to go is Tornado kit - but you need to be good with rail... since that's a light hull and hornet at m2 is mediocre. Don't invest too much in striker - as you face better tanks they get faster, and striker will have huge issue locking on for salvo mode. Hopefully they give it a buff or a useful alteration as my m3 sits in the garage gathering dust.

Sounds too much like SuperMario Kart. Hard pass.
-
Hopefully it is because they are driving/shooting instead of typing. I'd certainly welcome silent players who concentrate on the battle instead of chatting all the time.

I think the GB should be valued higher. I'm not dropping that many in common battles...

How come I never see any of the following maps? Subway Chernobyl Esplanade Magistral

Don't pay for speed-ups. You're better off doing 1 upgrade on multiple items during a sale. And don't forget your modules. ;)
-
Depends on what you value in a hull. At M2 Viking has better top speed and health. Hunter has better stability and acceleration. Unlock rank is often a good measuring stick when comparing items, and Viking unlocks at a higher rank.
-
I think you are not getting part of it... At m3 and above... Viking speed > Hunter Hunter stability > Viking Which you prefer is what you should buy. Maybe you value speed over stability? Buy Viking. In a medium hull I value stability over speed so I wish I had Hunter. So I would hardly consider Viking "OP" or better. So yes, I kind of am in "a position to say whether it is balanced or not". It's all opinion.
-
A lot depends on driving skill of enemy. Head on - yes Isida has a good chance to be able to turn enough to kill the freeze before it get to flank. But if freeze is moving at speed and gets to flank it has a good chance to immobilize the isida. Game over.
-
If you have an upgraded medium m1 hull (at least half-way to m2) get Atlas - the Titan is great on small-to-medium maps. If not, get Northerner as you will really want an m2 medium hull.
-
I've also seen a viking on speed-boost avoid 2-of-4 missiles as it ran up the ramp on Serpuhov  Striker was not designed to cope with m3 hulls that are constantly on supplies. The lock-on time and speed of missiles can't compensate.
-
I had Viking long before the re-balance. And I've used it a lot since the re-balance. I preferred Viking before the re-balance which means I would like the current Hunter more today. But Tanki did not give me option to switch hulls so I'm stuck with current Viking. I have an account at W03 with Hunter m0-10/10. It is awesome. However I'm also saving for a kit that will have Viking M2 because at M2 Viking is better. The hulls vary at each m-level and it's up to you to decide what characteristics you prefer. Once you get to M3 a choice is made - do you prefer speed or stability. Hunter is much better than Viking for turrets like smoky because it is way more stable - smoky needs to keep hitting targets to generate criticals. Same with Striker - Viking is terrible for trying to get lock-on because enemy hits bounce it around due to lack of weight. One is not better than the other. They are just different.

How do you define "team that needs it"?
-
Interesting - not sure I can take you at your word since you like to post here a LOT - but I'll see what I can do... 1) With alteration Ricco has effective range equal to or better than smoky 2) Ricco has impact that rivals Smoky since it fires many more shots in same time period and impact adds up. 3) Just like there are smart smoky users there are smart Ricco users - they use bounce to hide location. 4) Stop using esports as example - 95% players are not involved in that so it is irrelevant.

I can tell you didn't read a word of my post. I'm not surprised. A bit disappointed - maybe. Surprised? Nope.
-
You are incorrect. Hunter > health than Viking at M1. Hunter is much better than Viking at m1 - hence the late unlock rank. At M3+ Viking and Hunter have exact same health.

Low account 1x125 speed 1x 3500 crystals 1x10 golds upper account 1x Liquid metal (shop) 1 x10 Gold 1 x 125 mines

Have Tanki-X account but have barely played it in past year because... - very little choice on how to improve equipment - done through blue-prints and they are random. - buyers can get elite equipment right away - would be like m0 playing m2 - Can't choose maps, or even battle-mode. I have CTF mission but mostly get TDM battles - takes forever to complete - success is totally dependent on team. You advance only by your team winning. You do well and team loses - you still go down in League pts. - As MAF said - you get deserter status for leaving que - even before a battle starts - gameplay - I find the graphics cartoonish - view is odd (too close) - and the tank movement is bouncy Overall way, way prefer TO. Doubt I will play TX in any regular manner until another major change happens.

Sadly this is not always true.

Why does tanki allow m0 guns and hulls to be used in m2 + battles
wolverine848 replied to PhantomFlanFlinger in Archive
There's multiple ways of sabotaging - and entering a battle with equipment far lower than the average is basically sabotage. He/she doesn't even have an m1 isida... it's m0 6/10. If he/she wants to use an isida he can easily afford to upgrade it. -
Viking was not perfect. It was slower than Hunter. Players who preferred speed over stability chose Hunter - easier to cap flags with Hunter do to speed.
