    For second bullet I just meant that having the Paints & Modules included did not necessarily increase the price of the Kit. I believe they increased the discount to offset the extra item included. May have not worked out for the better in all cases, but sometimes it did. Best thing to do is work out price of turret & hull (and module if it is one you would want). Compare that to buying the items on their own. Don't add paint cost to this as you likely would not buy it on it's own. If cost is close you need to weigh two more factors... - The pain of basically using what you have for a number of ranks to be able to buy kit. You will not improve much (if at all) during this time - The benefit of getting the Kit equipment earlier than normal - unlock for kits should be two levels better than unlock of items separately. - Oh - and you get ~ 100 supplies kit bonus.

    Yes - cheaper to buy higher level equipment on sale. Especially if you are lucky enough to have your desired kit in rotation on a sale day. MUs benefit buyers the most. They can get better equipment sooner (for big price!) and then take the bigger portion of battle funds as they dominate. More so if they include supplies.

    Yeah - they say they want to lessen drugging by removing large supply kits from garage. Then they put a sale on supplies. :wacko: Buyers are the ones who benefit here. Costs them less to get the supplies, and then they wreck you by using them, thus getting the lions share of crystals from the battle fund.

    Was Prometheus available before the update? Best to compare kit prices now vs what they were before the update. I think some went up a bit and some went down. I think in many cases the kit is discounted enough (even including paint) to make it close to pre-balance prices. Also - the module protection - in some cases it is better. Overall protection is 35x3 = 105%. Most of the high ones had 100% or less.
  6. Hmmm... I was either partially damaged (but less than half) or it was actually two shots - less than full clip for sure. M4 Hammer with DD does over 2100 damage with one shot.
  7. You are ahead of me on those MUs. Just bought my Guardian and it broke me. So no crystals for MUs. Saving now for a module that has Hammer - tired of my M3 Viking getting one-shotted by drugging hammers.
  8. No idea. In DMs I'm average at best. I'm more of a strategic and tactical player so Team battles are better for me. Especially since half my experience probably came from Isida.

  10. Depends on the mission and the opponents. Some of the rewards are just terrible. Even after using the free switch. You end up with an "earn #### xp on ____ map" it can get difficult. Especially if there's only one battle available and those are higher ranks that drug more. To compete you have to start using up your own supplies. You could create your own battle, but... could take a while for others to join - especially if it is not a popular map. Or just not do that mission and either switch it next day or hope the map is more available.

    Smoky is better when it can constantly rain shots on a target taking advantage of it's quick reload. In peek-a-boo you lose that advantage. In a peek-a-boo battle using smoky your success depends a lot on the opponents turret as it tends to be a one-for-one shot battle. Thunder and Rail do 2x (or more) damage per shot vs smoky. Unless you can consistently disrupt their aim, smoky will lose that battle. For this type of strategy you might want to get the Impact Alteration. "My brain can process things 2x faster than the average human being so, the increased distance from the rear of my tank (the shortest) doesn't really apply as a factor for me." Um... what? :lol:

    I fully support the 25%. However - it's like trying to get an omnibus bill passed in legislature. Sometimes it needs to be watered down to get the votes. Hence the 50%. Better chance of getting the votes.

    It's a good plan - the kit is excellent. I went for the Atlas to get Titan instead. Either will work well at that rank.

    Worth it if you have the crystals to spare I suppose. Will cost you 2x as much, not counting speed-ups. Last stages take a looong time. Kits are the best way to improve - especially if you can get an item-sale discount applied. Will you be able to save for a Kit and buy MUs? In the long run you come out ahead with more equipment by buying a kit.

    Sounds like in this case the Thunder user did not know what he/she was doing. Attacking from behind you but ended up self-destructing because of Splash damage?

    Well sure - an M1 on DD should be able to wreck a light hull one level down. But if they pop a DA you are back to square 1. You only get an extra 9% on that critical hit. It used to be +80% dmg. The critical chance is greater now at 20%. but that increase over the previous 15% does not come close to making up for the much lower damage.

    I agree. There are so many lop-sided battles now. Score way out of reach and usually the team numbers... 6 vs 3... 8 vs 4... etc. Absolutely no incentive at all to join the losing team. So the imbalance continues and the losing team may as well 1) go on pause if game almost over or 2) exit the game if lots of time left. Supplies are a large factor in this. They give far too much of an advantage to the team that has most supplies - more noticeable in mid-ranks where many tankers are saving up for the next upgrade - they can't afford to "buy" supplies too. If supplies are not removed, at least nerf their impact somewhat. Instead of +100% make them +50%. A middle-ground compromise that might make the game fun again.
  18. ^ as above. In 5 shots you probably will get 4 normal and 1 critical. But you might get 0. Or you might get 2 or even 3.

    I guess with the critical being so weak now (compared to normal shot) you are not giving up much to get the alteration.

    I think we are on the same page here. Maybe my wording could be improved - but - that description was in regards to using it before the nerf. The turret used to be multidimensional. Not so much anymore...

    For Noise... one with Firebird or Freeze or Hammer or Ricco For Rio - almost any turret can do well there. Depends on if you like to camp or capture.
  24. Ah - then that really sucks for ranks Brigadier and below - an even longer wait to get M3. The Lt Generals (who saved for a kit) will have a field day feasting on anyone below them who recently ranked.
