Yes. If you take an Isida into a DM at M3 level, the only way you will get your required kills is by drugging - all the time. Isida does less damage per second than all the other short-range turrets. And has no advantages (don't count the 10% self-heal - you will not notice it. At all).
-
Couple of things to consider... Daily missions are random. Does not matter what is in your garage. So someone with Isida m3 getting "earn exp in DM" or "get 50 kills" is up the creek. Sure they get one fee change - but - why should that be the only turret that automatically needs to change a type of mission? What if they get two of the above. If the Isida has a special function of healing team-mates (primary function?) are Devs gonna add a mission type that takes this into account? "Heal 300xp"? Many turrets can be decisive in both Team Play and DM. Freeze and Fire come to mind. Both can kill easily, and both can defend well. Isida can defend. But attack and kill? Not so much without constant drugging. A turret should not require constant drugging to compete.

Skills certainly help you get a good/better score. But I'm not sure how what you've told us above proves the other team were "buyers". You can save up (short term pain) for kits (long term gain) without buying crystals. I've bought one M2 kit and two M3 kits. All without buying crystals. I did not know enough in my early ranks to save for a kit. if I'd known better I would have.
-
Either you've been lucky or you use more supplies than you indicate above. There are so many lop-sided games recently - in large part because of supplies. In many games I've seen - to match the opposition one would need to use an entire weeks worth of "free supplies" in just one evening to compete. And the best supply kits have not been removed from the game. They've been removed from the garage. But "buyers" can still get them in the shop.
-
Not at all. It's the chicken-and-egg quandry. No one will buy the passes because there are few games to play if you do buy. Partly it means that we don't want to spend 5k on something we should have by default. Why should we need to pay separately for that option? Why don't we all have a choice to play how we want? You did not really answer my question. Would you mind it if Devs reversed the situation? Tankers who like supply-battles need to buy a pro pass instead?
-
First part... you don't think it "ruins anyone's game experience" when a group on opposite side constantly drugs to the point where non-druggers can't fight back? Spawn-die-spawn-die-spawn-die. Etc. I'd say that experience is less than enjoyable. Not everyone has the $$ to buy supplies so many do not have "equal chance to do the same". An equal chance would be where everyone competes on same resources (game-accumulated crystals). If some divert crystals to supplies while others divert crystals to new equipment that is "equal chance". Second part - there are not enough pro battles. So tankers who don't like supplies have very few battles to choose from. How about this - reverse it. If you want to use supplies buy a pro-battle pass. How would you feel about that?
-
Interesting. This presents a dilemma IF I ever get enough crystals to do the alteration. As per wiki, currently I would not be giving up much to get the boost in Impact Force. However, if I'm actually giving up 30% damage (on a 20% chance) then it is more significant.
-
I wonder if that was their goal - get us to spend many crystals to get what we already had. Official reasoning was balance. How does switching stats obtain balance? If one was better than the other, the situation has not changed.
-
Wiki stats are low? Or high?
-
IF they have the $$ is pretty important. Devs keep talking about having balanced games. But the fact that a certain population of the gamers having greater wealth means it is not balanced. Many of the battles on a nightly basis are NOT balanced and a huge reason for that is supplies.
-
I agree with this. An average player on a more powerful/drugging team benefits greatly from the team-mates. Might have large score (compared to other team) because the team-mates place that tanker in a much better position to win. Dominating the map, weakening opponents, all allowing the average tanker to up their score. If that same tanker was on the weaker team could easily be on bottom of score-sheet. This is partly why I'm not a huge fan of the way the battle-fund is divided. The Team currently behind in a battle has a harder time attracting more players. The incentive to join the losing team is quite low for most tankers. An obvious exception are the Raiders that join en-mass and drug their way to a reversal.
-
They won't be able to do this so long as the random daily missions contain specific maps, or even battle-modes. Imagine needing a Tribute map and the button never gives it to you. The mission would be impossible to complete.
-
Why? Game is not paused during drop. Every tankers choice to go for gold or continue the game.
-
Was that alluded to earlier? I did not back-read... In last post tanker just indicated trouble gaining crystals - as opposed to issue completing missions.
-
Use the free mission swap to try and get more crystal missions. Only complete crystal missions - unless - the mission offers A LOT of supplies or seems easy to complete. You want as little experience per crystal as possible. A 1-for-1 ratio is a decent goal. Stop playing after you complete your daily missions - unless - you are in a battle with a good team and are gaining crystals equal to or greater than the experience you are gaining.
-
Why only submit 1 completed mission per day/re-boot? If you submit all completed missions you will get more new ones the next day = better chance for crystal missions.
-
True. Especially TDMs... when they outnumber you say 7-4 and control the map (and supply drops) plus drug - it's best for entire team to go on pause until more tankers join your team. IF you can get them to listen.
-
I don't have to always win to enjoy a battle. Losing a relatively close battle is fine. On the losing end of a turkey-shoot is not. Hard to complete missions, and few crystals. And is it fun to die every 20 seconds? Unfortunately with the way the economics are set up - if you earn experience but no crystals you are regressing. You will rank up but not have the $$ to buy better equipment to compete.
-
Hold the phone... If all the "select druggers" are on the other team, my team will get crushed . No crystals. Nada. Even placing in top 1 or 2 of a "crushed" team gets you very few crystals.
-
I hate dying so quickly when everyone is using DD all the time. However, I hate it just as much when those "select" druggers are all on the other team. It's a turkey-shoot and you lose so badly you can't get crystals, and likely have a hard time completing the mission as well.

This would be for smaller maps like Polygon, Noise, Silence, Sandbox and Tribute. And ones with lots of hiding places like Industrial Zone where ambushes are abundant.

Need Hammer protection. Badger T-A ?

Guardian - I think i received 90 of each.

no... that's a "Holy Crap!" :o

I stand by my original "Yikes!" Lt Colonel in same battle as Legend (who could be dozens of "rank-ups" ahead) is kind of silly. I know some Gizmos (and now Legends) want to play against their low-rank friends - they should set up an alternate account.
