I just played with it and you're right. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I couldn't find any pattern. Strange.
-
It's been reported already. Happens with Crusader as well. Here is the complaint with Ares.
-
Like Kydapoot mentioned, they're increasing Ares' retention period. Currently, it has the shortest retention period, tied with Dictator.

Juggernauts that are on low HP and don't use their Overdrive for extended periods of time. It is uncountable how many battles my team could have won if this wasn't happening. He stayed like that for almost 15 seconds. Then died to an enemy Magnum shot. We had a good lead, but was turned into a draw by that turn of events.

What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?
TheCongoSpider replied to Maf in Game Discussion
As a f2p player, I have finally acquired my first maxed drone, the almighty Driver. In the midst of all the chaos of these status augments and Gauss still being overpowered and popular, this is a monumental achievement for me. -
Yes I'm saying AP on a turret is bad and stupid. What I said after that was that applying the AP should be difficult and not easy to do. The way Magnum does it is inconsistent because of its aiming mechanism, which is good. Meanwhile, Railgun can simply strap on a Hornet Overdrive to anyone at will, every 3.7 seconds, which is bad. Yes I agree every AP augment should be like AP Freeze where it has clear downsides. I was saying that applying the AP should be difficult, rather than brain-dead easy like Railgun or Gauss.

Can you send a picture or video?

AP being applied by a turret is inherently nonsense. Making it hard to achieve like the way AP Magnum works shouldn't be looked down upon, but encouraged.

Even the initial release of the update stated "extra stars". Key word being extra. But that was not the case. It completely replaced stars from positions in battles. I saw multiple reviews of this and TO said they're aware and working on fixing it. Would they say that if it was already a "feature" all these months?
-
Amazing! Earlier this year, there was a review on the playstore mentioning this bug. TO replied saying that they were aware of this bug and were working on fixing it. What happened next? It was relabeled from "bug" to "feature".

Do you have Rubberised Rounds?
-
I don't take chances with that stupidity. I wait 3 seconds.
-
Also to add to this.
-
So which is it? Light Capacitors or Heavy Capacitors?
-
Yes, this is true. Well enact what I mentioned above. If you see the battle is going to end, cut the healing short before it ends to get some score.
-
What exactly are you referring to here? The manually detaching thing or the Viking Isida tip?
-
TO mobile bug - Crusader's Icicle. Same as the Ares' Overdrive I posted before here, Crusader's visual icicle appears in a different position than the real one. Easily replicable? Yes. Drive directly forward when you're activating the Overdrive. As a reminder, Ares still has this bug.

Isida gains score for the damage it heals when it manually detaches the beam from them. There, you did not manually detach the beam. Your ally was destroyed while you still had the beam attached. Hence, you did not get the points. Remember this - If an Isida heals 10 score worth of healing, and the target is destroyed (whether it be by an enemy or self-destruction), that score is internally saved. So the next time you heal someone, it will add that to it. So like you healed 2shots2kill there for about 8 score worth of healing. He then self-destructed while the beam was still attached. If you were to then go and heal him or someone for 5 score worth of healing, it will add the 8 and 5 and you will get 13 score. I am unsure whether this transfers between battles, but as a precautionary measure, if you think the battle will end in the next few seconds, manually detach your beam before then to gain as much score as possible, rather than none at all. That's just how Isida works. I see you use Viking a lot recently, and Isida. Here's a tip; if you're using your Viking's Overdrive to heal someone, keep the beam attached to them for as long as 1-2 seconds after the Viking Overdrive ends. There, whatever score you obtained from the ally that you were healing last will give you Overdrive charge from the total score, since you kept the beam attached and held out until the score penalty was over.

Can a fully upgraded Shaft with Heavy Capacitors using Booster destroy a Fully upgraded heavy hull with 50% shaft protection and Defender drone?
TheCongoSpider replied to Alklines in Archive
A heavy hull with a maxed Defender and 50% against a turret has an effective HP of ~24,000. I believe Heavy Capacitors with Booster deals somewhere around 17,325 damage, so it should survive. -
By moving around the map and not staying in the same position for extended periods of time, especially if it's in a pathway that is convenient for allies to get to the objective. Consider using Light Capacitors or Adrenaline instead of Heavy Capacitors . Move around the map and find different positions. If allies re blocking your view, you can simply come out of sniping mode and find a more comfortable position. It only takes 3 seconds to fully reload, which is hardly an inconvenience.

category Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!
TheCongoSpider replied to Ilia.ArchangeI in Ideas and Suggestions
It used to be able to reduce the damage of the bomb, but the Devs changed it for whatever reasons they see fit. I don't mind it at times. Titan's Overdrive may have a lot of counters but I acknowledge that if left untreated, can cause a lot of problems for the enemy team. Do remember that Titan is also able to counter Wasp's bomb by completely destroying it. -

I will not agree with any buff to Hornet's Overdrive until its retention period is completely removed. -
You are not overreacting. But you should know that the Incendiary Band augment by itself most often is not a significant threat. It becomes a significant threat when paired with Heat Immunity. For now, your readily available options to reduce the overall damage they do to you are any or a combination of the following: Use hovering hulls Drive perpendicular to their line of fire at a distance Equip Vulcan protection module Equip Heat Resistance augment for your hull Avoid being stationary for extended periods of time

What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?
TheCongoSpider replied to Maf in Game Discussion
Are you forgetting that stun, no matter how long it is, is still a stun? Which means it can counter Hunter, Ares and Crusader's Overdrives (Hopper to an extent too, I guess), reset Vulcan's shooting, effectively dumping a lot of its DPS down the drain, reset Gauss, Striker and Magnum's acquisition/accumulation, and take Shafts out of sniping mode. Not to mention the utility it has on defense for guarding flags and weakening players running away. Many times not being able to use supplies and being stuck in place costs me my life. On top of this utility, it has a large damage boost, capable of comfortably one-shotting unprotected medium hulls, and even one-shotting unprotected heavy hulls. Stun augments for turrets should not have even come to anyone's mind. -
Doesn't seem that rare to me. I've gotten it a handful of times since it started appearing. What I can tell you is that every time it appeared, the trigger was having exactly 20,000 crystals and 125 Tankoins in the piggy bank. Here is the first one I ever got. Every subsequent one gave the pop up with 20,000 crystals and 125 Tankoins in the bank.
