No, they do not have any control over when they get their critical hits. They just have good RNG against you. Tesla is going to get a change in the near future. We will see what it entails when it gets here. Hopefully it pushes the effectiveness away from status augments and more towards non-status.

Neither. You shouldn't even be considering any of those drones where you are. They are a luxury for endgame. Only use your Brutus drone. The time for you to switch to a non-Brutus drone is very far from now.

Striker's projectiles are not a fixed speed like other turrets. It starts slow and accelerates towards that speed. The majority of the time, you won't be hitting someone with that speed.

Freeze's critical chance has been a sight to behold. Going to high critical damage, low critical chance early into the critical hit update. 0, 10, 0, 10 to 0, 7, 0, 7. The critical damage eventually got nerfed while the normal damage got buffed. The critical chance was then nerfed to 7, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. You still had the 7% but subsequent critical hits came less frequently. Then went to 5, 0, 5. Nothing changed for a while and suddenly it goes to 4, 0, 4 with a nerf to Adrenaline in particular. And then again, it goes to 3, 0, 3 with a higher nerf to Pulsar and another nerf to Adrenaline. And now, in the glorious year of 2024, we have the Critical Mix augment, that increases it from 3, 0, 3... to a modest 21, 0, 21. And all it gets as a disadvantage is -50% freezing rate, a lower penalty than what its status augments received. All I can do is gape and watch in awe.

This is how this type of event has always been. If you weren't here for those previous events, it was stated in the announcement that the missions come one by one every day, and you see which and what order they're coming in. You get a certain number of coins from missions and the rest you purchase with crystals or rubies. 700 Rubies for some grenades, some supplies and 2 exotic augments is a good deal if you main one or both, ideally both, of those turrets. An even better deal is the fact that it's not behind a real money paywall for the rewards past 13 coins so players whether long-time f2p or buyers can guarantee they obtain a specific augment without luck. If you are uncertain about something, you are free to ask here or in a Tanki-related discord server before you make your purchases.

I opened around 400 epic keys across different accounts and didn't get a single exotic in the Revolver iteration. I'm going for it here.

I was wondering what was up with this. This made me miss multiple Ares ODs. -

Seeing that Destroyer is here will you finally give Harpoon the buffs it has needed since more than years ago? -
Where you are at, you should ignore your protection modules for now. They are very expensive and under normal circumstances, they wouldn't have been available to you in the first place. Focus on upgrading what you would consider your primary turret hull combo.

The grey and black ones? They're crystal boxes. 10 crystals and 10 EXP.

Tesla is a turret you'd had to be careful if giving new augments. You don't want it to turn into something oppressive to the entire lobby if spammed like in 2021 or in modern days with grouped status Teslas in Siege. Yesterday a video came of Dilatory Protocol receiving a change where the ball lightning reload is fast but the ball became a part of the penetration application of the damage. I highly doubt only Dilatory would receive this change as that would sound ripe for abuse by groups. It'll probably be a global Tesla change, which, who knows, might breath some life into the already existing augments and may make room for a new augment. -

In order for a battle to start, it needs players. -

I do and have never noticed any players under Marshal since some time ago when they pushed bots to players up to General. The only time I saw someone below Marshal was in September when they pushed bots up to Legend. There was a Colonel player but he said that he was in a group with the Marshal (eligible) that was in the battle. If you're going to make the claim that bots don't help the rank spread by stating you still find very low rank players in your lobby, you can at least supply proof. Event modes are not proof as they have no bots and are susceptible to the same large rank spreads as before. -

Do you have a screenshot for that (normal MM)? -

Screenshot? Where are you getting master sergeants in your lobbies? In the event modes? -
Are you basing this opinion on your experience at the Second Lieutenant rank?

update Patch Update #780 - Released 1st November 2024
TheCongoSpider replied to Marcus in News Archive
Yes. You, unfortunately, came back to the game when the good times (imo) were over. Your initial refusal to interact with the Matchmaking system was frustrating but trying to get you back on track at the time when you returned to the game was a lost cause compared to if you had come back in, say, 2021. -

Wow so it's only for the weekly mission? It was a mistake to keep my hopes up. -

If this is for the daily and weekly supermissions, this took FAR too long to happen. All year it felt like the cost of everything in Tankoins was increasing while our earnings stayed the same. That "special surprise" in containers that turned out to be 100 Tankoins with the lowest drop rate in Legendary did not outweigh the increase in avenues where unmaxed players had to spend Tankoins. So rare that a player thought it was a mistake when they finally got it the first time many months after it was added. -
Those salvos would need specialised angular velocities because with putting those speeds on the Stock parameters, you will have a hard time hitting anything that is moving.
-
Your laser turret can charge it beforehand and release it whenever it wants while Gauss needs LOS to charge. In many situations it would have a faster firing rate than a Gauss that salvo spams. 1,000m/sec is pretty much hitscan in terms of travel time. And 1,800 base damage allows Booster/Crisis to push the final damage above 4,000 while Gauss cannot. None of them are mixed in a way that directly copies the parameters of another turret and make them slightly better. They are all done with their own TTK and attributes. Your turret idea is interesting, but your second firing mode needs to be more distinguished against Gauss' salvo.
-
This sounds like it powercreeps Gauss' salvo.

under review Gauss's Large Caliber Augment.
TheCongoSpider replied to Abuleil in Ideas and Suggestions
You seem to think this is a Large Calibre Gauss specific problem? There are many garage augments that, while decent on their own, aren't worth paying the price for it, especially when you're still progressing through the game and every economic decision counts. There are certain ones that are worth actually paying to have over others. And I hope you didn't pay full price for the augment. You should wait for sales to make big purchases like that. Gauss unfortunately does not have any worth paying for. However balance changes occur and an augment that seems useless or has the short end of the stick design wise could suddenly become something decent or great to use. This goes for every turret.
