    The Beginning - Introduction

Yay, finally! Can't wait for the next part(s), not gonna lie. Also, my proofreading "skills" were gathering rust anyway, so thank you for de-rustifying me and my skills!
  2. Ah yes... (I wanted to know if it's safe to share debit card details for free trials, and Quora requires me to start a free trial to access an answer )

    Left or Right?

"Both" means that you can use both right and left hands equally well. That includes most everyday activities like writing, picking up objects, playing, etc.

    Saboteur Mines- Not working

Without a video of your issue, I think it's impossible to know if it's a bug. There are so many things that can affect your supplies and drones now, especially the Jammer status effect. Jammer will make your Saboteur drone pretty much useless, and your mines might be in a cooldown. This cooldown could have been activated because of the EMP status effect or because you used a mine. Maybe you ran out of mines, too?
  8. Wait why is everyone talking about some Tanks-In-Space-like event when there's absolutely nothing mentioned in the main post? There's just a comic strip without any details, and everyone is already taking about "P2W event" and "candies" and whatnot... What's going on? I'm genuinely confused!
  9. Whoa. Whoooooaaaa. May I go so far as to say that this is the most player-friendly update ever? That is not entirely a good thing, to be very honest, but it's a start.
  10. Have they? They've clearly mentioned that it "won't be fair to apply these conclusions to the full matchmaking system." If you rewatch the V-LOG, Hazel says that they tested out a few things in "small matchmaking" or "event modes", based on the situation in normal MM. It's actually the other way round: event modes being selectively compared to MM. It is not a direct comparison. I fully understood your point, and Hazel actually acknowledged it in the V-LOG, pretty much: "So far we have not seen any change in player-behavior due to the absence of the system in event mode battles" (system = equipment change system). It is unfair and difficult to directly associate "change in player behavior" with just the number of players who leave battles — as you pointed out, it is impossible to find out the reason behind leaving without asking the players. However, if the number is high and significant enough, then it is safe to at least form a hypothesis based on this parameter... That's the whole point — I went into the ifs, buts, and maybes. The whole post was my interpretation (or explanation) of what the Developers mentioned in the V-LOG. If you find my opinion stupid, no problem, just let me know — we can have a discussion on it. But don't start attacking me as if I'm a Developer or a representative of the higher-ups of the game's management. The Helper who tried to explain the Developers' point of view in this topic did not claim in any way that "this is exactly how it is". I won't claim to know their thought-process, but one thing that is pretty much obvious to normal players is that observing the change in the player-retention and player-leaving rate is a decent parameter to reach some (shaky) conclusions, which can then be tested out in MM. I think it does help players to understand the Developers' thought-process, especially if the Developers are considering the complete removal of the equipment-change system. People = everyone? I don't think so. I, for one, liked the extra information that they provided in the V-LOGs. I may not have wanted to know all that, but I was still not annoyed by it. Also, if the Developers want to convey something, there's nothing wrong in doing so via the V-LOGs even though "no one wanted to know". They thought it was important, and hence they shared it with the players. By continuously saying that it was unnecessary and that no one asked for it, you're just criticising for the sake of it. Those extra sections in the V-LOG did not harm anyone and could be easily skipped. Thanks for clarifying! Even then, though, if the Developers thought that certain information must be shared with players, and if it's a lot of information, then I don't really see a problem if they tried to share it with players in the form of a story across three episodes.
  11. Yeah "nobody asked for it" but that's just how it is. Attention spans are alarmingly short nowadays. Ever wondered why YouTube Shorts is becoming so popular? If they explain the whole thing in one episode, players won't pay attention to the stuff that the Developers want to convey because they'll either get bored within the first few minutes or just move on and watch another YouTube video. One cannot compare that data directly to MM... Check this out (just a clip from the latest V-LOG): https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxGREQ0oBduCJXkRPguuCBrhRVk1-jc7RT The frequency and number of players leaving battles in the event modes is a direct indicator — if the frequency is high, and if the players who are leaving don't have strong equipment in general, it is safe to conclude that the removal of equipment-change is negatively affecting gameplay, at least for those who leave. Or, if those players who generally dominate in battles start leaving (mainly because most enemies might be having immunities or protection modules to counter their equipment), even then one can conclude that there's some negative impact. I'm pretty sure that the Developers can easily obtain this data...

24CPDBBWAF demands speedy victory, but for that the tournament needs to start. No pressure.
  14. Well duh — you explained an (un)intentional pun, puny admin! ?
  15. How are you? (Ok fine serious question: In the V-LOGs, do you plan to actually show the work done by designers or developers? Like, a minute-long clip of those people working on something? It can be an old project, it doesn't matter — but I'm not talking about those sneak-peeks or momentary glimpses of some new design...)

  19. 100% I spawned, and by the time I reached the enemy base on Sandbox, the enemy Juggernaut had killed me with a single shot - no one else involved. This happened at least twice. In fact, it happened multiple times when I was using Hornet Max (Trickster 17/20, Armadillo Mk7-2), which is why I got frustrated and changed to Viking.
  20. Interestingly, in one of the TJR battles, when I asked "how one-shot?" in the chat, the enemy Juggernaut replied "cheats )". I apologize for not providing enough details. I used Trickster drone (17/20, 92.5% passive boost to BA), Viking (Mk7-6, 2753 armor), and Armadillo (Mk7-2, 37%). MM battles are more than 10 minutes long, which is enough time for a Battle Mod to join the battle and observe any violation of the Game Rules, in my honest opinion. The "Vote" option exists to inform Battle Mods in real time whenever there's a violation. Also, I couldn't record a video for multiple reasons (very low FPS, weak internet, etc.). Anyway, I was (am) lazy and didn't have enough knowledge of how critical damage works, so I am at fault. However, I don't regret voting the player who actually said "cheats" when I asked him about his suspicious one-shotting ability.
  21. Nope, I was using Trickster (17 or 18 upgrades, not sure - but definitely more than 15, which gives a significant boost to BA)...

    Terminator Damage (one-shotting medium hulls)

Hello! A few days ago, I voted some Juggernauts in TJR mode because they were able to destroy my tank (Viking) in a single shot even though I had Boosted Armor active along with Armadillo (36%). According to me, it is impossible to deal enough damage to destroy a medium hull with just 1 shot. Even if it's a critical shot, 36% protection is more than enough to ensure that it takes at least 2 shots. So, 1) Am I wrong? 2) If I have missed any update, I apologize for voting players unnecessarily. Please explain the changes to me, thanks!
