  1. I think in case of larger fires, there's a very high chance that you'll burn you hand, because flames of larger size have an element of randomness. You may move your hand very fast, but your hand stays in the fire for a longer length (for want of a better word). In case of the flowing metal, there's a fixed path of the liquid, and it has a pretty much constant "volume" and shape while flowing. So your hand is guaranteed to emerge out through the hot liquid into the air. This is not true for large fires, as their shape keeps mutating, and your hand might remain in the fire even after your fast action has been completed. So essentially your hand is in danger of attaining ignition temperature because it is still in the fire. What do you think?

    Release 628

Hi lol I believe you, but could you please record a video too? I really want to see how they manage to dodge shots without jumping, coz I'm sure you had Overdrives OFF... This is not sarcasm, but genuine curiosity...
  3. About time that things turned the other way round... Time for some Shelf on the Elf memes! I'm not good at meme-making, and I couldn't find any broken/fallen shelf images worthy of a meme. Could anyone please make a Shelf on the Elf meme using their epic editing skillz?
  4. @At_Shin I don't think it's the Leidenfrost effect, as I don't see any scope for a protective layer of vapour between our hand and the hot metal. But yeah, I believe it's possible for the man to escape burns if he moves his hand fast. Notice that he's almost slapping the flowing metal, which is pretty fast. Also, he's taking a short break before repeating the action, giving his hand some time to slightly cool down, if at all it has got heated. You really must try passing your finger through a candle flame, provided you are aged above 16 (that means you're hopefully mature enough and not childish, and fully understand the dangers of fire), or under supervision of your parents. I know your tentative age, but I must add this disclaimer. But remember to start moving your finger very fast, and gradually reduce the speed as you become more confident.

Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

Wow wow wow My Mk3 Shaft is OP in Stadium!!! Nearly every scope shot was a kill lol... It was a TJR battle. Using Shaft is fun on mobile... But this seems to be a battle of mults... only one 6k GS tank!! Tut tut, what has the world come to?
  6. Lol as far as I know, if you move your hand fast enough, the heat from the molten metal won't be able to raise the temperature of your hand up to its ignition temperature. (Ignition Temperature: lowest temperature at which a combustible substance when heated catches fire in air and continues to burn.) You can actually try this with a candle flame. You can pass your finger through the flame without getting burnt: your finger will never attain its ignition temperature if you move fast enough. Some substances like white phosphorus have an ignition temperature so low, that they catch fire even if they're exposed to air at room temperature! Matchstick heads have a low ignition temperature, so the heat generated from rubbing it against the rough side of a matchbox is enough for it to attain ignition temperature and it catches fire. In case of relatively non-combustible substances like our hand, ignition temperature takes time to attain.

The Rank Limits page is outdated. I'm a Colonelon SHREYA88, and I can make a battle up to Commander . But the image on the Rank Limits page shows that a Colonelcan create a Pro battle only up to Field Marshal. The rank limits might be wrong for other ranks also. Please check and correct them accordingly! :)

    Equipment-Specific Battles (non-format)

The map was Brest, btw... xD Yeah, compared to MM, Pro battles do have less players... but there are quite a lot of players who love playing Pro battles. That includes me. It's hard to find players, agreed. But that's exactly why I'm reaching out to other Pro battle lovers out there on the Forum! My friends list is very peculiar: I have Forum friends, XP/BP players, and Parkourists. I might start adding Pro-battle lovers too sometime. Yeah HTML5 is kinda hard to navigate, but they've recently added an update where we return to the battle-description window after leaving the battle. So that's really helpful. It's quite popular, no doubt, but there is a significant number of Pro battle players that don't like XP/BP and like to play with different combos. I personally love XP/BP, but I love playing with different combos even more. It's TOO annoying... :c

    Analyzed Protection Modules

That's a really cool experiment you did there... It would be even more credible if you increase the number of analyzed modules. Great work! And thanks!

    Equipment-Specific Battles (non-format)

Hello Tankers! I recently made a Shaft-only battle, and even typed "English pls" in the battle name. Well, the first player who joined had equipped Gauss-Wasp (no surprises), but (surprisingly) 15% Shaft protection. So he wasn't exactly illiterate (though one can't say for sure...). But thankfully, a friend of mine joined the battle on my invitation, and changed to Shaft (only after killing me once with Railgun). Then a couple of players joined with Shaft already equipped (Victory unto me!), and I frankly couldn't contain my joy. Well, this whole episode wasted precious minutes of my life, in which I could've... never mind. Let's not get into what I couldn't have done. But the point is, I don't want to waste my time threatening or insulting any mults who join battles without reading the battle name, and refuse to change equipment once joined. Or worse, I don't wanted to be exposed by smarter players who understand English (brrr), and deliberately join battles to increase their K/D ratio. So I've decided to find other players with similar interests and problems, in order to create custom battles without time-wasting interruptions. Now I am a player who has all equipment (except drones and protection modules. Augments are automatically included in the exceptions lol), and I love to play with all equipment. I use my best equipment in MM, but in Pro battles I tend to experiment with other fun combos. In case you wish to play battles like Magnum-Titan only, or Ricochet-Wasp only, etc. please let me, and others like us, by replying to this topic. I'll try my best to include most, if not all, of the interested players in any fun battles we make in the future, depending on availability, ranks, etc. I'm really tired of all those multy incidents, and I really want to enjoy playing with other equipment, without wasting my energy on fighting fools. Hopefully, things will work out well, and we'd have at least 1 good battle every week/fortnight. P.S. I'm about to rank-up to Brigadier (on an alt, SHREYA88) in the next few days (or week), and I might be able to play with Legends also. So I think ranks won't be much of a problem, thanks to alt accounts. In the spoiler below you can find the current / requested combos for battles: (you can suggest combos in this topic, and also declare you availability along with one of the combos you'd like from the list below) In the spoiler below you will find the preferred rank-brackets for battles:

    Goodbye Zekrom!

@Zekrom and @Towns Wow nob I didn't know you were so famous on the Forum... a big buyter, I see... Anyway, I'm going to go through your Forum profile now ? Thank god you're back as Towns tho. The Tankiverse needed some Tankirolls...

What to buy? Which is better?

I'd suggest Assault. Edit: I think Engineer would suit you best if you choose not to activate many supplies. Supplier would work only if you use your own supplies...
  13. Lol I know the Incendiary Band + Heat Immunity meta... I was only confused about the phrase "literal exploit". Because of that one phrase, I thought that you were being sarcastic. So I sought some clarification... xD And yeah, I do agree that Incendiary Band + Heat Immunity is a "legal cheat"...
  14. Yes, you have successfully posted on the Forum. You should go through the Wiki page of the Forum to clarify most of your doubts and confusion.
  15. What exactly do you mean by "literal exploit"?

    N.O.O.B.

LOL Of course all of it is just for fun. You should just refrain from posting here because Noobs are supposed to post here. So if you post anything related to being Pro, it will be considered Off-Topic. I simply created the Orange List to remind myself of all the "Pros" out there, so that I know who's actually helping this topic grow and who's not... :p Don't worry, I can't ban you or anything. I'm simply requesting you to not post anything "Pro".

    [TMA] The Martial Artists.

    I'm a fan!!! (of Jackie Chan!!! :D )
  18. Yes, that is very convenient. To contribute to this discussion: One should not activate any supplies during the last 30 seconds of battle. Otherwise one will find that when one activates DD to kill an enemy, one gets killed, and now has no time to seek revenge. That unknown player who wasted one supply of yours will escape unscathed (hopefully, unless he accidentally runs over a mine). Or the battle will end with 20 seconds still remaining.

    Congratulatory post

Congratz @Maf (aka His Highestestness Le Don Mafioso the Only) on completing 9 years on the Forum! It's a birthday of sorts... Please excuse the long screenshot... I had to get the flying cat too, didn't I? We're on the same page about this...

    N.O.O.B.

Ahem @Ironmantonystark The Bureau has examined your credentials, and is of the opinion that you are mildly susceptible to breaking rules in order to display your apparent Noobishness in this topic. The Bureau would like to remind you that you must not break the Game Rules under any circumstances while compiling/sharing your acts of Noobishness. Best Regards Venerable [His Higherestness Le Head, Chief, etc. of the Noobs' Omnipotence & Omnipresence Bureau] "May you remain a Noob at heart..."

    N.O.O.B.

@asem.harbi I'm afraid that you are henceforth forbidden from positively contributing to the discussion because you claim that you are extremely Pro. We here at N.O.O.B. despise the word "Pro", and do not accept acts of Noobishness committed by those other than the one who shares them. The Bureau has now decided to add you to the Orange List, which contains players who are hazardous to this noble organization. You will now be placed under Type A+ Observation, and will be closely observed until you are deemed fit to contribute to this discussion. Best Regards, Venerable [His Majesticality Le Chief, Head etc. of the Noobs' Omnipotence & Omnipresence Bureau]
