I agree. The problem is that they are using the -30% chance template on everything. Thus, it's OP on some turrets and trash on others. Reminder that Tornado and Spear cost the same. In fact, Crimson team got Tornado and 1000 Tankoins, and since the 100 TKs were refunded, they got the most busted augment for free and then some.

Pulsar Scorpion's numbers might look nice, but it has the same problem as the 1.6 second warmup Railgun: the firing rate is abysmal. That holds it back from applying status effects at a reasonable frequency. The fact that the status effects can be completely removed by a Repair Kit well before you fire your next shot is a problem for it. It is objectively the worst Pulsar.

That requires more than average analysis of how the weapon works. Many were only enamored by the raw damage potential during its release.

In terms of offensive play, I would have said Magnum once, but that skill barrier has been eliminated by the new aim assist. Hyperspace Railgun without friends is relatively difficult as it requires you to line up shots constantly and naturally in order to make the most of the augment. If you can't do that, you're stuck with a slightly worse version of stock. Funnily enough, bounce shots with something like Uranium Scorpion or a status Ricochet are pretty easy to pull off, but look quite impressive. Not too much of a skill barrier though. I think something like Shaft + any light hull is relatively impressive as you can't camp like you would with other Shafts; your health doesn't permit that. Instead, you become a mobile sniper who moves around causing trouble but remaining uncaught.

At least Hammer Pulsar has a chance of chaining hits if it gets a critical hit on the first or second shot of the clip. As for Scorpion Pulsar... xD I actually quite agree with you- the way they have a universal balance for Pulsars is unfair. -30% chance is still OP for Twins, above average for Tesla (which is seen as broken due to the multi-kill potential, but the crit chance itself is OK), pretty bad for Hammer, and absolutely horrendous for Scorpion. The potential to chain hits, in my opinion, is what makes or breaks a Pulsar. Tesla and Twins, both rapid-firing nonstop turrets, can fire infinitely thus increasing the probability of landing a critical hit, and can continue to strike and take advantage of even a 1 second effect. However, a Hammer on its last shot or Scorpion arcade shot is almost completely unable to take advantage of the effects.

I disagree respectfully. Hyperion only takes 1 extra supply in return for -20 seconds on every cooldown, meaning no cooldown on armor, damage, or speed, and 10 seconds on RK and Mine. Pretty sweet deal, especially since it costs as much to upgrade as any other drone. ^^

Big longtime problem on the forums. The way to get around it is to post it as text, then go back and edit it to an embed after posting it.

TheDetective999 discovered that by spinning 180 degrees and launching your rockets directly away from your target, they will have enough airtime to curve back toward them, even if they are at point blank range. This works best with Tornado, but does work to an extent with stock/10-rocket augments.

Given how other drones are, it would probably be 1 million to upgrade, 500 thousand to speed up. Supplier is Brutus with the ability to share supplies and Saboteur is Brutus with the ability to place extra mines, but both of these have the full upgrade cost despite being steps up from Brutus.

Remember, turret protection doesn't protect from critical damage. Scorpion's critical damage is 1500. With Crisis, that's 3900. Still not enough to one shot a 4000 HP Ares, right? But then Camper exists. With a maxed Camper, Scorpion Mk8 deals a whopping 4500 critical damage. That's enough to take you out, and then a little some.

You still imply that you're able to predict what they will buff or nerf. Then you say they do whatever to get money.

I didn't even realize they could do that. No splash damage, but you sure can self damage. Think of it as reverse Vampire Isida!
