Sounds like fun, but not something that fits in with Tanki.

It's probably quite complicated to implement. I assume that animated paints are GIF files, and as far as I know, it's not easy to just change the speed of a GIF. Anyway, it just doesn't seem like something worth implementing.

Making sure the battle has a lot of time left, the teams are not too unbalanced (by number and by rank), the right map, the right game mode... At lower ranks people also looked at the battle rank limits to make sure their rank is closer to the maxium limit. Some people even check the teams to make sure no "enemies" are playing in the same battle. All-in-all it usually took over a minute to find the right battle.

Just over 100. Didn't care about them and just played normally. The 1 extra container is nice, allowed me to open my 4 mission containers all together (because 5) :p Me too. I think the star week event was just a test to see if stars work for crazy weekends. Next time they will hopefully balance the effort and reward.

Usually I don't waste time while waiting. I either go work on the forum, watch youtube, read reddit, or do something useful, etc. I rarely just sit there and stare at the timer. This is actually much more convenient than having to go to the battle list and manually choose the right battle like we did before.

I think it depends on how lucky you get with the timing. If you start queuing and at the same time a current battle finishes, then a lot of people will press "continue" and within seconds MM will send you to a new game it made for all those people. But if you queue just after a new game has started and no current battle is about to finish, you will have to wait longer. I personally just click play, go to another window/tab and check Tanki in a minute. If I've been waiting for over a minute, I cancel and queue again. Usually works quite well, but I agree that on average the waiting time tends to be longer than the "average time" shown.

This is a rather old bug with Vulcan and it had been reported many times. It's not fixed yet, so just make sure you keep damage indicators on when playing with Vulcan so that you can stop and fire again if it stops dealing damage.
