Can we please stop with the "Tanki is dying" topics? This has been discussed and explained at least once a month for the past 4 years, whenever someone posts a topic like this. Here's some facts. Tanki is becoming less popular because: Old players are naturally leaving (very few people play the same thing for 5 years straight) The game and its style is no longer a novelty, so it doesn't cause that much interest There are much better, more modern MMOs with similar gameplay out there. Devs stopped (or greatly reduced) advertising for Tanki, so very few new players are coming in Fewer new players are joining than old players leaving, resulting in a net decline of player numbers If you have anything specific that you want to complain about, please post in the Complaint Book. Yes, Tanki may be "dying", but it's still very much alive, so let's enjoy it while we can. Closed.

They weren't, but there's no reason why they shouldn't be. Ignoring the P2W aspect of them, supplies take a lot of skill to use. Knowing in which order to activate them and when takes a lot of practice and can give you a massive advantage over another player, who also has infinite supplies but doesn't know how to use them.

Developers obviously won't publicly say "We're making decisions that aim to get you to spend more money", since that would create a bad image of their company, but it only takes common sense to understand that AlternativaPlatform is a for-profit organisation, and the purpose of their projects is to bring profit. So yes, they want players to spend money. As we can see from the example of Tanki X (which seems to be failing, if you ask me), cosmetic-only purchases do not generate enough profit to support a free-to-play MMO. Of course there are games like Fortnite, where cosmetic items bring millions in profits, but that's an exceptional case, where the developers had a lot of expertise and a bit of luck. Tanki developers didn't even strat off as game devs - they created a software demo and converted their company into a game dev studio when their demo caught on. So yes, supplies will remain as purchasable consumables that give power in battles because they are the most reliable source of revenue. A player can eventually buy all equipment, paints, skins, upgrades and they would have nothing left to buy, but with consumables there is always something that they could spend money on. Hazel Rah said a long time ago that he would love to make supplies free and unlimited, since, as a game mechanic, they are really interesting and make gameplay more diverse. But unfortauntely they have to remain as they are. However, I'd like to point out that the situation with supplies greatly improved over the years. Back in 2012 we had no mission chains, no missions, no permanent supply kits, very rare sales, no containers and generally no reliable source of free supplies other than the measly Daily Gift, which gave just 60 of 1 supply (or 30 of two types) to a Marshal. That was nothing, and buyers with infinite supplies could easily dominate games alone as no one ever had enough supplies to oppose them. Nowadays it's absolutely possible to use everything you are provided with (sales, kits, mission chains, etc.) to have enough supplies, especially at high ranks. As long as you don't play longer than 30-40 minutes per day and only do enough to complete your three daily missions, you can use supplies non-stop in battles and you won't run out. I'm telling you from presonal experience that I didn't run out of supplies for the past two years now, simply by completing daily missions. I just occasionally spend about 50k crystals to fill up my stash of repair kits during a 50% sale, and it lasts me until the next sale. Drones are a slightly different story, and their extreme prices and lack of free sources for batteries does remind me of the 2012 supply situation. Although they don't seem to give you that big of an advantage, so I wouldn't call them completely balance-breaking. tl;dr version: You have some valid points, but supplies are very easy to obtain for free now, while drones are not as OP as they seem. So while the truth is that supplies exist to generate revenue, I wouldn't consider them to be P2W.

But don't you think they're quite pretty?
-
OK, then maybe only Future got removed. I haven't played on it for at least 4 days.
-
Then it's understandable. Juggernaut only has about 7 maps available: Kungur, Desert, Aleksandrovsk, Barda, Bridges, Massacre and Wolfenstien. I think even Yorkshire, Brest, Solikamsk and Future have been removed, as I haven't played on them for a few days.
-
Are you playing Juggernaut? Because I think the map variety is quite limited there for game balance purposes.

Topic merged The top 3 places mission gives quite a hefty reward, but at the same time it is one of the most difficult you can get. If you don't have an excess of supplies or a lot of upgrades on your equipment, then I suggest that you just change that mission when you get it. I know it's a shame to give up the reward, but you'll save yourself more time and stress if you simply change it for an easier one.

Is it really something you so desperately need to know in the middle of the battle though?

While the actual chance for the maps to be created is probably equal, your idea could be implemented on an individual basis. It would require a possibly quite complicated algorithm for the MM system so it most likely won't be implemented, but it's still an interesting concept. Basically, if you didn't play on a particular map for a long time, the game would search for battles on that map and it would put them in priority when selecing a battle for you. So rather than putting you in the very first suitable game, it would sometimes make you wait a bit longer, but put you in a map you haven't played for a long time. Although personally I would rather just have the ability to vote for maps.

Exotic container items have the red colour and they have been in the game ever since the Synesthesia paint, which used to be the only Exotic item. I think since then Synesthesia has been moved to Legendary, while Exotic items now include 1 million crystals and all the XT skins. You can see an example here: https://youtu.be/3QKZTrib9hI?t=5m

You don't "need" any stars. You have the opportunity to earn those stars and get up to 10 containers (as long as you're not in Wolves faction), but it's more of an additional bonus. After the turn forcibly ends today, you will be able to earn another 30 stars and get another 10 containers today. Alternatively, you can just earn 15 stars now and 15 stars later, so you get 10 containers in one day, like you would if the reset didn't happen.
-
In order to get stars you must first buy the distributor paint AND also vote and confirm your attack/defence choices every day on the war website. SO in this case the players who got zero stars either didn't vote yet, or are not participating in the war at all. Please discuss the star mechanics here. Closed.

RIP. I'll keep it under review though. It's useful to keep all magnum balance suggestions in the topic. And who knows - maybe devs will change their mind.

"A bit of luck" is if you;re doing it with friends. You need insane amounts of luck to pull it off solo :D But we won't reject records which were done with the help of friends, since JRG is in MM battles only, so it can never be fully rigged.

I almost got 4 times on multiple occasions, but so far my record is 3 (in at least 7 different battles). 5 would be really difficult, and I think it's basically the limit. The only way you can get more than that is if you join a game with a friend, on call, one of you becomes juggernaut and you communicate to each other when to shoot so that you keep switching who plays juggernaut. That way you might get over 10 juggernauts per battle if you're really lucky and coordinated.
