    Ideas for Maps!

Suggested many times before. Probably won't happen since it requires a lot of work to redesign the map maker software (which, at the moment, is extremely annoying to use), and it won't generate much interest from players because most of them don't care about making custom maps and would much rather log in, play a few battles and leave, all with as few clicks as possible.
  2. As far as I know, the afterburn damage only depends on the tank's current temperature, not the presense of DP on the firebird. However, I think the DP does increase the maximum temperature the tank can reach, thus dealing more afterburn damage, although I might be wrong here.
  3. Perhaps if you actually explained what you were trying to say properly instead of trying to communicate using hastags, then I wouldn't misunderstand the topic. You're right about the fact that you posted a topic relevant to game discussion, but the content of the topic would not be enough to generate a discussion. More importantly, the idea of Freeze and Magnum being overpowered has been discussed multiple times in many topics, which is why I redirected you to the game balance topic. If you still think that your topic should stay on its own, please contact me via PM. But please refrain from necroposting (re-posting locked topics) and publicly accusing forum staff of poor consideration. Closed.
  4. The complaint book is one of the most important topics that gets a LOT of attention from moderators, admins and community managers. If you post there, you may not get many replies from players, but your post is guaranteed to be seen by at least one of Tanki officials. So the question is, do you want to discuss the isue with players, or do you want your suggestion/complaint to be seen by developers? To forward your complaints to developers, please post in the Complaint Book. To discuss the current game balance situation, please post here: Let's Discuss Game Balance. Closed.
  5. Just trying to make sure that I&S rules don't get misinterpreted, you know?
  6. True, but to be honest, I just don't think this kind of hull fits in with the game. Not to mention the massive coding complication assicuated with having two rotating turrets on one hull.
  7. Actually, that's not exactly the case. They don't accept ideas because suggesting for something to be removed/reverted doesn't take any creativity or originality, and it doesn't provide developers with a new idea on how to improve the game. It's basically just a complaint about an update/feature, posted in the form of an idea. However, it doesn't mean that developers don't ever make the decision to revert an update. They have already done this on multiple occasions. It doesn't happen often, but it's possible, so not all updates are set in stone.
  8. Alright, that's actually a very simple and straightforward way to implement this. I changed the idea status.
  9. Bad idea. No one wants guns with lower damage.

    Ideas for Maps!

That's another story. I'm not sure if devs will do it, but keep in mind that if they will, then the map won't have any Halloween bonuses (e.g. 10x gold drops).
  11. Unfortunately this causes the same issue as the ability to select maps in general - it makes Matchmaking less effective. But I suppose it could be done on an individual basis, where each player sees the map with the texture pack they selected (winter or summer), but it would require a lot of changes in the way maps are loaded, which developers aren't going to do for a minor cosmetic feature. Alternatively, the system could just select the theme for the map based on settings of the majority.

    Ideas for Maps!

Topic merged Probably won't happen, since Halloween events are usually focused around 10x gold box drops, which ruin team battles due to players not focusing on the objective and ruining the game for those, who are trying to win.

Sensei's Plan - How to Save the Game

Pls no. I've had enough of Sensei's topics for a while

This game is dying and devs do nothing

Can we please stop with the "Tanki is dying" topics? This has been discussed and explained at least once a month for the past 4 years, whenever someone posts a topic like this. Here's some facts. Tanki is becoming less popular because: Old players are naturally leaving (very few people play the same thing for 5 years straight) The game and its style is no longer a novelty, so it doesn't cause that much interest There are much better, more modern MMOs with similar gameplay out there. Devs stopped (or greatly reduced) advertising for Tanki, so very few new players are coming in Fewer new players are joining than old players leaving, resulting in a net decline of player numbers If you have anything specific that you want to complain about, please post in the Complaint Book. Yes, Tanki may be "dying", but it's still very much alive, so let's enjoy it while we can. Closed.
  15. They weren't, but there's no reason why they shouldn't be. Ignoring the P2W aspect of them, supplies take a lot of skill to use. Knowing in which order to activate them and when takes a lot of practice and can give you a massive advantage over another player, who also has infinite supplies but doesn't know how to use them.
  16. Developers obviously won't publicly say "We're making decisions that aim to get you to spend more money", since that would create a bad image of their company, but it only takes common sense to understand that AlternativaPlatform is a for-profit organisation, and the purpose of their projects is to bring profit. So yes, they want players to spend money. As we can see from the example of Tanki X (which seems to be failing, if you ask me), cosmetic-only purchases do not generate enough profit to support a free-to-play MMO. Of course there are games like Fortnite, where cosmetic items bring millions in profits, but that's an exceptional case, where the developers had a lot of expertise and a bit of luck. Tanki developers didn't even strat off as game devs - they created a software demo and converted their company into a game dev studio when their demo caught on. So yes, supplies will remain as purchasable consumables that give power in battles because they are the most reliable source of revenue. A player can eventually buy all equipment, paints, skins, upgrades and they would have nothing left to buy, but with consumables there is always something that they could spend money on. Hazel Rah said a long time ago that he would love to make supplies free and unlimited, since, as a game mechanic, they are really interesting and make gameplay more diverse. But unfortauntely they have to remain as they are. However, I'd like to point out that the situation with supplies greatly improved over the years. Back in 2012 we had no mission chains, no missions, no permanent supply kits, very rare sales, no containers and generally no reliable source of free supplies other than the measly Daily Gift, which gave just 60 of 1 supply (or 30 of two types) to a Marshal. That was nothing, and buyers with infinite supplies could easily dominate games alone as no one ever had enough supplies to oppose them. Nowadays it's absolutely possible to use everything you are provided with (sales, kits, mission chains, etc.) to have enough supplies, especially at high ranks. As long as you don't play longer than 30-40 minutes per day and only do enough to complete your three daily missions, you can use supplies non-stop in battles and you won't run out. I'm telling you from presonal experience that I didn't run out of supplies for the past two years now, simply by completing daily missions. I just occasionally spend about 50k crystals to fill up my stash of repair kits during a 50% sale, and it lasts me until the next sale. Drones are a slightly different story, and their extreme prices and lack of free sources for batteries does remind me of the 2012 supply situation. Although they don't seem to give you that big of an advantage, so I wouldn't call them completely balance-breaking. tl;dr version: You have some valid points, but supplies are very easy to obtain for free now, while drones are not as OP as they seem. So while the truth is that supplies exist to generate revenue, I wouldn't consider them to be P2W.
  17. But don't you think they're quite pretty?
  18. OK, then maybe only Future got removed. I haven't played on it for at least 4 days.
  19. Then it's understandable. Juggernaut only has about 7 maps available: Kungur, Desert, Aleksandrovsk, Barda, Bridges, Massacre and Wolfenstien. I think even Yorkshire, Brest, Solikamsk and Future have been removed, as I haven't played on them for a few days.
  20. Are you playing Juggernaut? Because I think the map variety is quite limited there for game balance purposes.

    Complaint Book

Topic merged The top 3 places mission gives quite a hefty reward, but at the same time it is one of the most difficult you can get. If you don't have an excess of supplies or a lot of upgrades on your equipment, then I suggest that you just change that mission when you get it. I know it's a shame to give up the reward, but you'll save yourself more time and stress if you simply change it for an easier one.
  22. Is it really something you so desperately need to know in the middle of the battle though?
