Any guide that doesn't recommend doing RTL with Mammoth Isida Mk1 is a bad guide.

People who don't go for the gold box but kill other people going for it, why?
Maf replied to Poppy in Archive
Gold boxes have become so commonplace these days that it's often more fun to try and take advantage of the situation and get a huge multi-kill, rather than attempt to actually take the box. I personally don't go for non-black golds, but if an opportunity arises, I would try to protect it and prevent people taking it. I usually try to save it for some non-legend player -
No, I don't. In fact, I often leave battles once I capture 2-3 flags and realise that the enemy team is giving me little to no resistance. Hopper Crisis is a fun combo and I love using it, but seeing the whole enemy team either just quit or helplessly stop and stare when they see me flying around with their flag brings me no joy. It's sad and boring. The battles I actually enjoy are ones where I'm up against other 9999 GS "tryhards" or groups, and we have an intense battle where it takes every last bit of skill and strategy to beat them. I enjoy those battles even if my team loses, but unfortunately MM doesn't give me the power to pick who I'm playing against. I can tell you that there are definitely players who specifically look for battles with weak teams so that they can finish the game as fast as possible with as little effort as possible. Those people usually quit when they see me, even though they have the kind of gear that could give me a challenge. I honestly don't understand the appeal of that kind of gameplay.

As a Hopper Crisis player... this strategy just does not work ? The only way to counter a Hopper Crisis is with things like Gauss + EMP, Hunter with Stun Immunity, or various long range AP turrets. All these items are very expensive and extremely hard for free players to obtain. I agree that Crisis on its own is somewhat balanced (compared to other drones), and Hopper would be OK with a significant nerf to its OD. The recent change was a good start, but it's nowhere near enough. But I said this before and I'll say it again — being able to take the flag, jump and be halfway across the map while the defenders are helplessly stunned and burning, is far from being a balanced game mechanic.

Huh? Didn't it get fixed literally a few days ago, as announced in the patch notes? And sure enough — I haven't had the bug ever since.

I'd be very concerned if anyone actively disliked this feature ? "Ugh, remove these stupid shards! I HATE getting free stuff!"
-
I wish they added a quick perspective toggle feature like what Minecraft has with its F5 key (by default). Just a key that you press (or press and hold), and it changes your camera to look backwards while you move forward. I use it all the time in PvP games.
-
I think @die3458 is specifically talking about the ability to spin your camera without turning your turret (by holding right click). This doesn't really have gameplay application and was mostly added for people wanting to take "selfies".
-
It's almost exclusively for photoshoots. Or maybe some very rare scenario where you want to be shooting forward while looking back? I don't know lol.

I don't know about you, but I use the radar ALL the time. It's extremely useful for maps like Industrial Zone or any maps with tunnels, because you can see enemies coming your way (from any direction) without actually seeing them, allowing you to prepare. It takes some getting used to, but gives a massive advantage once you remember to look at it. I don't think it needs much improvement, besides perhaps showing flag/ball icons.

June 2020 isn't deep We still have valid topics from 2016, because that's when I&S got a major overhaul and we stopped archiving valid ideas unless they get declined or completed.
-
The problem with Isida is that people start exploiting (or cleverly applying, I guess) its ability in order to gain a massive advantage. Two Isidas healing one another and both using defender drones are nearly impossible to stop. Buffing their healing rate would be quite risky for balance.
-
Yeah, but that's nothing compared to being able to snatch a falling ball out of the air and soar straight to the enemy base to score a goal with minimal effort. Not only that, but because you got OD charge from scoring, you respawn with another OD almost ready to go (at 75% or so). That is broken gameplay.
-
Just out of interest, which modes do you play? If it's mostly TDM, TJR, CP and SGE and very little of CTF, ASL and RGB, then I can see why you wouldn't think Hopper is OP, because it mainly excels in the capture modes. But even then, the OD nerf really makes sense, because it was completely illogical that Hopper could jump, capture a flag, and instantly have 70% charge again (which was ready 20 seconds later). I do wonder if they fixed OD retention though, because right now you use your OD just before you die and only have it go down to 95-70%, while still applying the stun and fire effect to nearby enemies, which is very effective.

You mean player density? So all maps should have fewer players on them?

Not sure what you mean, but the rules are as follows: The cooldown between ads is 7 minutes (+ up to 30 seconds depending on loading times) If you finish a battle on TO mobile in the meantime, you can instantly watch another ad. To watch an ad every 2 minutes you have to somehow finish a battle in 2 minutes, i.e. either get put into a battle halfway, or be in a battle with massively unbalanced teams.
-
I timed it a few times and yeah, I think the timer stars when the ad finishes playing. 7:25 seems to be the general average. Doesn't change the fact that it's possible to get an insane amount of containers with very little effort.

So you like shock freeze but you think freeze immunity is OP? That's kinda hypocritical if you ask me ? -
Let's not confuse Hoppers with Crisis drone users. Hopper is OP, but it can be made more reasonable with a rather simple nerf of its OD. Crisis only seems OP from a distance, but it's quite easy to deal with, and other drones like Lifeguard and Defender are usually more of a threat. Now, Hopper WITH Crisis is definitely an overpowered combo, though only in capture modes (CTF, RGB, ASL). I'm not sure how it should be nerfed without affecting the more balanced uses of those two items separately, but it's definitely not ok to be able to leap into the air while also stunning enemies, and then fly back to your base and cap before they can even move again.
-
^this But also because when you open Tanki on your phone, it's usually in a situation where you have nothing else to do. And when you have nothing else to do, you are more likely to actually watch the ad and therefore the ad will be more effective. Meanwhile on PC you could just turn on the ad and then switch to a different window/tab, or just pick up your phone while it's playing. For this reason no app or website does "reward ads" on PC.

Ngl I did that today... 15 containers (13.5 from ads and 1.5 from missions). Pls send help. got some nice loot though
