There isn't 1 skin for all. All of the old skins remain, only now the M1 and M2 skins are shared by multiple modifications. It would be a waste of time for the artists to draw intermediate skins with tiny differences when instead they could be making more interesting textures (like shot effects and new exclusive skins).

Good for them. They knew the rewards they would receive and the effort required to get them. They did the work and got the rewards. I don't see the issue. My point is that it feels like a huge waste of time to go for 100% but only get the basic rewards when you could triple it with the battle pass. But to each their own.

I don't see why being a returning veteran player would make them want to get 2000+ stars without Premium account. If they want to go for it, it's their choice to do so. But I assume that pretty much everyone quickly realises how much effort they need to complete the challenge without Premium, and how much of a waste it would be to complete it and not buy the battle pass. So most people either don't try to complete it, or complete it with both Premium and Battle Pass.

I assume we will. Would really be a shame to have that info lost.

How significant is the difference? Also, could it be that MM balances not just by current GS, but by garage contents, previous battles, overall K/D, supply use, and a bunch of other factors we don't know about. Did of those battles end up being even or won by the disadvantaged team, despite the GS difference?

What seems to be the case here is that you're being shot by a Hornet Railgun, which has its own overdrive activated. Hornet's overdrive completely ignores all additional protection, including Titan's dome, which is why they would be able to take out a lot of your health or even kill you with one shot. This is an intentional feature and it applies to all turrets when combined with Hornet, not just Railgun.

You know, it's funny how this idea would have been completed with the spawn protection update, but developers specifically disabled that feature in format battles. Ironic.

You're confusing it with challenges. By "top tier", I mean a fully upgraded Mk7 tank combo with a drone, supplies, and fully upgraded modules. In other words, highest tier gameplay items that help you win in battles are possible to obtain for free, as opposed to some other games, where the only way to get the highest damaging exclusive weapons is to buy them with real money.

...yet. The number of skins will only keep going up. Animated paints were also a rarity for the first 6-10 months after they were introduced, but once they started appearing in challenges, people began accumulating them faster than normal paints. Same with skins - I'm sure that in one or two years we will have a vast variety of easily obtainable skins, so no one would be using the default modification skin anyway, even without the Mk update. But isn't GS simply a case of comparing whether it's higher or lower than your own? You don't need to try and convert it to an equivalent modification on the fly, since you just check whether the GS is higher than yours, and if it is, then the enemy you're facing is potentially more powerful than you.

"OP tank for $$$" implies equipment more powerful than any other item, and only possible to acquire by paying real money. Not TKs from missions, not challenges, not saving crystals for a long time. I know Tanki isn't exactly making it easy for free players to get the top tier stuff, but the fact is that it's possible, even oif extremely difficult.

Nah man, that's 2013 Tanki you're talking about ? As soon as micro-upgrades got introduced it was no longer possible to judge the power of any tank in front of you. And don't tell me about "R" info because no one has time to press and read all that mid-battle. Right now we have the semi-helpful Gear Score, but the tank's texture has been useless ever since XTs got turned into skins and became possible to acquire and equip at any modification. Skins are purely cosmetic now - there's no getting away from that.

To encourage purchase of special skins in order to stand out, obviously. But like I said - there should be more "budget" cosmetic options, meaning either old M0-M2 skins re-introduced for crystals, or brand new tank add-ons like side skirts and bumpers which could still be overpriced (under 1000tk), but at the same time affordable since they only change a small part of your tank, rather than the whole exterior.

Unfortunately this is required for the record, hence why some of the records have minimum rank limits in order to apply for them. This is because some records are incredibly easy to beat at the lowest ranks, making the record itself meaningless.

Unlikely. The RU forum has been updated since 2017 and they haven't added this functionality.

I hope they're make the M0-M2 skins available for crystals like how it was in Tanki X. I get that they're cosmetic items not needed for gameplay, but I really doubt there would be a lot of real-money buyers for lame low grade skins. Quite a few people would want to buy them for crystals though.

You need all 8 people to cooperate. Can't have more than 3 in a group. So you'd have to either somehow get a bunch of your friends to click at the same time and hope to fill a team, or end up with just the right kind of random teammates.
