If it's lag, why doesn't every player who is lagging hit you through walls? The vast majority of them hits you while you're in cover, but their shot goes next to your cover, not directly through it. There has not been such a situation. What I think is happening, is that the shot only appears to go through walls etc, because in their POV you're not behind a wall yet, due to normal lag probably. Their aim assist locks in on a pixel of yours, and if for you that pixel is behind cover, in your POV their shot is bent in a way that it still hits that exact pixel, no matter if it goes through map elements. For them, that pixel wasn't covered the moment they hit you, I assume. And yes, Railgun aim assist is a thing that exists.

Hacking situation is getting out of hand
Son_Goku replied to Son_Goku in Hacking situation is getting out of hand Game Discussion
In PRO battles, literally every 4th player is running scripts or whatever to gain unfair advantages, and no matter how often you report them, spectators just can't tell if they're actually doing it or not, and even warn you for false reporting. I mean, just look at this: Straight through the wall. Lag can still hit you while you're in cover, yes, but the shot wouldn't go through the wall, it would go next to it. Me and my teammate were getting hit like shown in the video throughout the entire game - as soon as one pixel of our tanks was exposed, we were getting hit like this through walls. That's not the first player to do it, by the way. There's a lot of throwaway accounts that are using scripts. This has been going on for so long already, that I feel like the developers don't even know about these scripts? The situation is honestly becoming quite ridiculous, if it isn't already, and it surprises me that no one is talking about this, or that there are no statements from the developers. Something needs to be done. -
Tanki deserves to be taken off the developers' (Opex-Rah) hands. They drove it to the ground.

For how long have you not logged in? Maybe someone else took your nickname, in that case yours should have changed to r_nickname0 or similar. The number at the end represents how many times that nickname was taken, starting from 0. So, it could also be r_nickname1 or r_nickname2 etc. Here you can check after how many days of inactivity a nickname can be taken: https://en.tankiwiki.com/Nicknames?attempt=1

This isn't a new bug, it's been around ever since Tanki switched from Flash to HTML5. In Flash, you could reliably hit doubles with railgun when tanks were standing in a row, no matter which angle. Ever since they switched to HTML5 however, it often feels random whether you can hit everyone in a row or not. Been around for ages already, unfortunately. Seems like the game doesn't realize that there are tanks in a row.

I hope I understood your question correctly, lol. If you rotate your hull clockwise with a speed of 20 degrees per second and your turret anti-clockwise with a speed of 15 deg/s, then naturally, the turret will start going clockwise with a speed of 5 deg/s, up to the point when you stop rotating your hull. If both have a max. rotation speed of 20 deg/s (hull still goes clockwise, turret anti-clockwise), but the hull has higher rotation acceleration, then the turret will go clockwise too and form an angle, until it reaches the same turning speed as the hull. And then, the angle won't change anymore, until of course you stop rotating your hull. Twins Mk6 has a max. rotation speed of 125,29 deg/s and acceleration of 125,29 deg/s², Hunter Mk6 however, has a max. rotation speed of 112,35 deg/s and acceleration of 329,41 deg/s² (stats from Wiki, no MU). In this case, it's natural that there will be an angle initially since Hunter accelerates faster, but Twins should catch up and normalize eventually, once its rotation speed surpasses Hunter's.

What are some weird and rarely seen combos that are actually good?
Son_Goku replied to demon09 in Game Discussion
You can actually be pretty aggressive if you use heavy capacitors and can even go in close range if the opponents have no protection, so it's pretty nice to have some extra speed to sneak in some flags or whatever (or just to run away honestly). Works surprisingly well. There's that rapid fire augment for shaft that could be better in close range I guess, but I like heavy capacitors more because of the added damage in sniper mode. It also reloads fast enough in arcade mode. -
planned Ability to kick players from your own private battles
Son_Goku replied to King_Khan_143 in Ideas and Suggestions
There should be an option to prevent certain players from joining the battles you create, and an option to reserve spots for players you want to join. A lot of players join battles just to annoy others and to disregard any rules (they know they're doing it), and you just can't get rid of them. So being allowed to blacklist such players, meaning making them not able to join your battle, would be a very nice addition to PRO battles. Blacklisting just one or two would be enough already probably. This can get abused, yes, but I'm sure that everyone would still love this feature. As well as whitelists. Happens a lot of times that you create a battle and want to join it with a premade team, and then a random player clicks and joins your battle, stealing one of the needed spots. So you should be allowed to whitelist spots in battles, i.e. reserve them for players you want to join. Blacklists are probably a bit controversal but still, both would be a very nice QoL addition to PRO battles in my opinion. If you ask anyone who plays there mainly, I'm pretty sure they would agree. I can also imagine "battle commands" for the one who created the PRO battle work really well with this, for example stuff like /addwhitelist or whatever. This may be a bit overkill for now, but I can imagine it work out in future- 83 replies

do hovering hulls turn when moving horizontally with shaft in scope mode?
Son_Goku replied to ok_hand in Archive

? You most certainly don't want to have your ping higher. Ping represents the communication time between you and the server in milliseconds. So, the higher the ping, the higher the in-game delay you will experience. I doubt this problem is fixable by you or any other besides the devs themselves. You have to wait it out, I guess.
-
Well there's not much you can do, honestly, since a lot of this is coming from the servers. Try clearing the game's cache if you didn't already, or reinstall the client if you use it. But watch out as these will reset your settings
-
That's probably just the servers acting up, currently they're having lots of issues. What's your average ping?

I play Shaft Wasp with Trickster, so there's that. When I play that is -
I'm lucky enough to be able to still play on 50 ping but let me tell you this, in XP/BP, I suffer at least as much as you do. It feels like my ping doesn't matter and that the game just adopts whichever ping the opponent is having. My damage is never registering when it should and people hit me like miles away from where my tank actually is; generally, it feels like everything is delayed by a couple seconds. So yeah, we are all suffering. Ping feels like a lie lol. Up to the change they apparently made, I had an average ping of 100 every now and then, with spikes every couple seconds to numbers our human brains can't even comprehend. Edit: nevermind, it goes like 50 100 50 100 the whole time ?

Was your monitor somehow set to 60 Hz? You can check that in the driver settings or by right clicking the desktop -> display settings -> advanced display settings, at the bottom. The FPS-Limiter doesn't work for me either, I'm just leaving that on 500.
-
Sounds like you have some kind of V-Sync activated. Do you have a 60 Hz panel? The game usually limits your FPS to your refresh rate. By the way, going higher than your refresh rate just puts unnecessary stress on your hardware, and you shouldn't be able to notice much of a difference anyway.

Minor changes don't always make it into the patch notes

What you can do then is wait until the client updates I guess, check if the version number is going up every now and then. Might be that it won't update on its own since you can't start it apparently. On Windows, you can check the version by hovering over the file that starts the thing, in my case it says 2.0.2.0
-
Just as a warning - I don't own a Mac. I googled your issue, and it seems you can bypass this in your Mac's security settings. To be safe, I'd recommend reinstalling the official client again before doing it. Could give clearing the cache a shot as well if you didn't already, but watch out, as this will reset your settings in Tanki to default.
-
That may be because the polling rate of your mouse is set too high, usually it's set to 1000. This number shows how many times a second your mouse is updating its position, as far as I know. Depending on the mouse you have, you can lower the polling rate in the corresponding software, for example G HUB, if you have a Logitech. Set it to 500 or whatever and try again. Otherwise, I don't really know how to change the polling rate.
-
Glad this helped you out ?
-
Unfortunatley, there is really not much you can do besides trying to clear the cache and all that stuff. If you're playing on the client, I would recommend you to maybe try and reinstall it, as some time ago there were problems with an older version that wouldn't auto-update; so installing the current one may help resolve your issues. If you don't want to use the client, maybe try playing on a different browser, if you can do so on Macs. Also, I'm not sure if that's really a thing, but I think I've heard that the game has or had problems running on Mac in recent times. Maybe try and update your drivers and software, etc?

No one cared about that as no one wanted to pay the fee to enter these battles, because crystals used to be worth something. Battles were always unbalanced because one team always had a buyer that got the next modification of their hull/turret 6 ranks before the free to play players could, by buying expensive kits. These players also paid for supplies, which free to play players didn't have back then, making them even stronger than they already were. You were facing people with Viking M2 at the Warrant Officer 5 rank, with full supplies, whilst you were Warrant Officer 3 with Smoky and Wasp M1, without any supplies. You were dying at least as fast as you are dying now to the paying audience. Kits were a complete P2W mess when they were first introduced, in your golden era of around 2013, but somehow everyone seems to have forgotten that. People back then were complaining literally as much as they are nowadays about P2W. It was not better. And before kits, before the re-balance, you were able to have a full M3 garage at the Lieutenant rank. P2W players had that, supplies on top, and the free to play players were still barely managing to get even M2 at the brigadier ranks. The game nowadays is at least as much pay to win as back then. I don't know if you all were very young and forgot all of this, but the game has always been a mess. It was not better for free to play players back then.
