If you cling to some object while going around it full throttle, it may happen that the game destroys your tank: How to reproduce: Choose some object. Place yourself at one of its corners, like in the video. Then, steer into it and after a little time accelerate forwards. If your tank behaves like it's glued to the corner while going around it, you're doing it correctly. I didn't test it with other things besides the ones showed in the video, but I assume that you can get selfed like this anywhere. Also, after you do it once you won't be able to deal any damage anymore and you can't pick up flags, which makes me assume that it's a bug related to the anti-cheat.

I don't know what I have said either, that's the problem! I do not insult players, only thing I do is trashtalking with them every now and then. But this is a war game, such a game will not function without casual trashtalk. You will never be able to get rid of trashtalk, if you do so you get rid of the players as well. I'm human, and if in Tanki I flip myself due to lack of talent I want to express my emotions by saying a certain word that is not directed to anyone in any way, like any normal person would do. It is funny and not in any way insulting to anyone. And before this automatic banning thingy was introduced, everyone was absolutely fine with it. But now, suddenly, it's raining 1 week bans. Yes, you can obviously not type such stuff to not get banned, but this doesn't change that the way you can get banned is right.
-
Nah man, you can't justify what is happening. This thing is way too sensitive and the most bans really seem to be unjustified. You can't ban someone for 1 week because they said literally just one bad word, that is not in any way related to the conversation you're having with fellow players. I get it that excessive bad language is not something that you should let pass, but this right now is in any way too sensitive.

The way Tanki bans you from chat is ridiculous
Son_Goku replied to Son_Goku in The way Tanki bans you from chat is ridiculous Archive
I'm getting chat bans like daily by now, for the most random reasons, and I have no idea why. I'm feeling sorry for continuously messaging chat admins, asking them what I got banned for once again. I bet they find some of the reasons ridiculous themselves, honestly. That algorithm or whatever that is running in the background is banning people without any context. For just one bad word, which is not even directed towards anyone, that just slips out when for example something unfortunate has happened, literally bans you for 1 week straight without any warning. Lately, I was playing some XP/BP and people in the enemy team kept leaving, so we had to wait over and over again until both teams were full and we could start our game. So out of fun I dropped the F-bomb in russian, because I wanted to play and not wait anymore, and that instantly banned me for a week, because I had apparently insulted someone. What? Now it happened again, I logged in and boom 150 hours long chat ban for insulting someone. I can legit not remember actually insulting someone in the last years even, and yet I am, at this point, farming chat bans for insulting. Lol. This thing really seems to ban people just because they say a certain word, completely disregarding the context. And that makes no sense. -
Any forum moderator/administrator you will reach here will not be able to do anything for you. What you should do instead is reaching out to the game support under help@tankionline.com, they will surely be able to resolve your issue

To be fair, there are tools that make you lag artificially. But that goes beyond just hitting you behind walls then, people who use such tools hit you like your tank is 10 times its actual size. It's pretty noticeable once you encounter your first one.
-
You getting hit behind walls is normal, it's happening because of lag. Your movements are delayed on your opponents' screens. Affects every game, not just Tanki. The servers seem to be in a pretty bad state currently, so this effect is even stronger than it used to be.
-
That's a major problem in pro battles currently. Some battles that don't exist anymore are still shown in the battle list and seem like you can join them, but if you join you get disconnected. Also, if you're unlucky and get stuck in such a battle, your account will be gone until the next server restart, since you can't do anything to remove it from that bugged battle. It's not a problem on your end, it's the servers having issues.

Recently, I have recorded and reported someone in the Russian forum for sabotaging a battle. However, the video wasn't accepted, because it was 47 seconds too long, 10 of them being the end battle screen. The corresponding rule says, a video can have a maximum length of 10 minutes. I know you're kind of not allowed to talk about such things, which is in its own way kind of ridiculous, but I just want to know - why is that rule a thing? Imagine you have video footage of someone robbing a bank, that is 10 minutes and 47 seconds long. In the video, the robber even shows his face and his ID in the security camera. So you bring this evidence to the police, to make them prevent the robber from robbing even more banks, but the police is like "nah bro, the video is 47 seconds too long". What? So we just let the robber keep robbing banks because THERE WAS TOO MUCH EVIDENCE, eg here, we let the saboteur continue sabotaging? What? Across every second of the video it is crystal clear that my entire team is getting sabotaged by this one player. Can anyone explain to me why this rule is a thing? I would literally have to remove evidence to shorten the video to 10 minutes, but honestly, I can't be asked to do so. We let him run free then, I guess. Let him ruin even more battles. ? I just want to know the thought behind that rule, as to me, it is completely pointless. Same with a minimum of 5 minutes of evidence, that no audio tracks are allowed, and that there can be no cuts in the footage. These rules literally make sabotaging easier.

Please devs, for CTF, add the notification for flags being returned. It was already there back then and it was so useful, no clue why you would remove it.

In future, I would recommend you to record such behaviour so you have some kind of proof. Whenever I see players doing weird things I just record them, so I can prove what I'm talking about. Now we can only assume that you're right, which leads us nowhere. If you vote someone, it doesn't mean that a battle moderator will arrive instantly and spectate the voted player. As far as I know, you need at least 25% of the players in the battle to report them, for the vote to have any effect. Then a battle moderator should join your battle and spectate the reported player, without anyone knowing. However, I must admit that some of their guidelines are a bit... let's say irritating. In short, just record players who do weird things. It's not difficult and the most effective way of dealing with them.
-
They have actually talked about this in some V-Log and if I remember correctly, they said it's pretty difficult to fix. Simply rejoining the battle or reloading the page/restarting the client should fix it. It affects everyone and has been around for years already

That's some (temporary) measure to counter DDoS attacks, I guess, and it seems to be working. Until they find a better solution, Ping is probably going to stay like this.

Uploaded a video after 3 years

Way more logical. Not sure if my maths is correct, but this would mean that the English V-Log would need 180 epsiodes to catch up. If we say that there is one episode per week (which is not true), it would mean 180 weeks, so a total of 3.5 years of one episode every 2nd week for our Russian friends. That is... not very efficient, if you ask me.

I just don't see pressing a single key, without really thinking about it, just to escape a lost position - potentially changing the whole outcome of a battle - as normal gameplay. I play lots of 2v2s, XP/BP obviously, and sometimes it happens that players make mistakes, get shot for it and self at the best possible timing, just to not have to deal with the health advantage the opponent has. Making that mistake and getting shot for it is obviously your fault and if you intend to play fair, you have to play this situation out, and not cowardly escape it by selfing. It is not fair towards the opponent who got the advantage by actually fighting for it, it has nothing to do with playing competitive and it completely obstructs the game's flow. Before people say "uhh camping has the same effects" - first of all, the camper has to fight to get into that position, and you can actively prevent him achieving that by killing him. Meaning you can do something against it. However, if your opponent is selfing to even out the field after having made a mistake, you can do nothing against it and have to deal with him again once he's respawning full life. Your advantage is gone, just like that. This I just see as cheating; not normal gameplay. You may agree with this or not, up to you. In matchmaking it may not be as noticeable if a single player is selfing, but in small battles, you're able to change the entire outcome by selfing just once. Like, imagine playing League of Legends, making a mistake costing you 70% of your life, and then you just run away and kill yourself to not give your opponent gold and a kill. Sorry, but I find that ridiculous. It's your fault you got into that position, you have to live with it.

My ping is also constantly 51, usually it's way lower. I don't think it's us. It's the servers, and for us there is not much to do about it. I'm sure our devs are working on it, but well ?

I don't know why you're so obsessed with what Spy provided, as it clearly lacks context. If you search for "cheating in video games", look at what is coming up: Literally the same I said in "my" definiton - because you know what - that's just common sense. If you camp, it does not go beyond normal gameplay, so it just is not cheating. Or would you call Shaft players cheaters? Shaft is supposed to act as a sniper rifle which is a fact, and sniper rifles are made for their user to stand still in cover, so they can kill opponents over a long distance. So by your definition (your definition by the way), that calls campers cheaters, is someone using Shaft a cheater? With sniper rifles you just don't go around 360 noscoping everyone, but you CAMP. IT IS NOT CHEATING. I doubt that selfing, the way people do it right now, used to be intended, as the game is literally punishing you for selfing (losing score, losing kills). If it indeed is allowed in esports (I'm not familiar with their rules), I would personally find it very questionable, as such a brainless "strategy" has no buisiness in something that is skill related. To me it is cheating and it will always be, but yeah, that does not matter here, I give you that. Again - arguing with the common sense - this can only be wrong. Are you even familiar with what long range weapons, with long reload times, are made for? Exactly, for standing behind, in cover and for killing people over a long distance. These weapons are literally designed for their user to camp, in order to be used efficiently. So would you call these players cheaters or what? Sorry, but that makes no sense at all. I don't know what there even is to argue here. Should maybe return to the actual point of this topic.

To me cheating contains the use of scripts, exploits or the use of mechanics in a way they're not intented to be used. When the devs decided to add a way for a tank to destroy itself, I'm pretty sure it was intended to be used when people are flipped or whatever so they could come back to playing. However, people self when they're low life and in a good situation to do it, just to regain full life and to not give their opponent any advantage; this I would say is using selfing in a way it was not intended to, so I would consider it as cheating. If you are just standing behind a house and waiting for people to push you, you are not using any scripts to achieve it, it's not an exploit and standing behind this house is not an unintended mechanic. If it was, the house wouldn't be there. So you're not cheating when you're camping. And if you keep dying over and over again to someone who is waiting for you in cover because you're always trying the same thing to finally kill them, I would say that it simply is a skill issue. The camper is doing nothing wrong, but you are.

Come on, XP/BP is an absolute lag fiesta where blocking people is literally impossible. Everyone just climbs over you or even dead tanks. I am a low ping XP/BP player, and people always glitch through me, no matter if I use Hornet or Wasp. Have to admit that using Hornet does seem to make it a bit easier to glitch through others, though. I wouldn't say that camping is cheating either. Personally, I consider things like selfing and so on as cheating in XP/BP, but camping is sadly, just a valid strategy. Blame the game, not the players ?

valid Automatically upgrade "Railgun Master" tank to mk7+ like Sport format.
Son_Goku replied to ftp in Ideas and Suggestions
May be fun to play with friends, but if you join a public XP/BP with hopper everyone will hate you. I would hate you too. Hopper may be a light hull, but its play style is completely different to Hornet and Wasp, so it just doesn't fit. It deserves to be removed, and honestly, it's very questionable why it was even added. Pretty sure that just that 1% of trolls "like" Hopper in XP/BP. Currently, the tanks in XP/BP are not equal. The only stats that are equal are HP, damage and reload - movement is not equal; Mk1 has Mk1 movement stats, Mk2 has Mk2 movement stats etc. So, at the moment, you will have an advantage with Mk7 over people who don't have it. Anyway, being someone who has been playing XP/BP for over a decade, I'd love Mk7+ to be added, as it being faster than stock Mk7 would also make XP/BP a bit more difficult to play. Wouldn't really like every Mk to have the same stats tho, because playing with lower Mk's against Mk7s is fun sometimes. Maybe add a checkbox for enabling micro upgrades or something? But yeah, in general, I'd like it. This would probably even get me to play matchmaking more than just once a year, since I would have to max out my stuff ?- 3 replies

Account blocked, Haven't received out input from Tanki for 10 days.
Son_Goku replied to Casinova in Archive
Unfortunately, I don't think that posting about it in the forum will really help you in your case. The only people who can help you get your account back are the ones from the support team. All there is to do is to wait it out I guess, and sending them new mails if it's taking way too long, like you did already. -
Wonder why Ansu Fati got the chance to play and scored a goal for Barcelona against Inter Milan in the Champions League at just 17 years old. Maybe because he was better than the more developed 30 year old players? Yeah, absolute nonsense. I wonder what would happen to games such as CS:GO, Valorant or League of Legends, if you removed anything related to skill based matchmaking. Makes me think that you have no clue of anything related to matchmaking outside Tanki. Sure, compare it to Tanki X, which was at least twice as dead as TO currently is. Curious why it didn't work out in that game. I have agreed countless times that GS based would probably improve the situation, but it is not the fix we are all waiting for. Teams will still end up being unbalanced, just as much as they are now because it will be the same players, and players will still say "matchmaking sucks". MM will not be fixed until everything around matchmaking is fixed (ranks/upgrades/drones etc), and I just don't see that happening. That would require Tanki Online 2.0 or sum. You can't tell me that all 9999 players are godlike creatures. Whenever I join matchmaking with my heckin Shaft, Wasp and Brutus combination, which sum up to a total of 8000 GS, I manage to get in the top 3 in like 80% of the matches, which is ridiculous. In the enemy team then there are always 9999 players who finish with a D/L of like 4/10 in the bottom half of the scoreboard. So what if it's GS-based, what will this 9999 player do? Enough of them struggle already against people who are not maxed out, wonder how they will do against an enemy team that is fully, or almost fully maxed out. You just can't balance that with such simple tweaks. Besides, could you not trick GS-based MM by joining with weaker equipment and switch to something stronger when loaded in? How would you handle that?
