It's strange that you seem so certain for such an absurd idea. It's just not posible - except maybe for 1/1.000 - for someone to reach generalissimo with at least one M4 without paying for crystals, or playing for hours everyday for a very long time. That's theoretical. Personally I think it's not even realistic to plan on gathering crystals for M4. I mean, do you even know how much is needed for just a single M4 combo? It's not about thousands of crystals, it's about millions. Here's the relative link http://en.tankiwiki.com/Micro-upgrades So, your "friends" that told you they got to M4 without paying are most probably liars. Stop bul_hitting people. Truth is needed so that this good game can proceed and players can plan their future.

That part about supplies wasn't refering to you, it was a general comment for a frequent missunderstanding. I think that originaly I had another comment in mind... Clearly my mistake. My apologies for not being specific about it.. :)

1. What are you saying, autobalance wasn't removed from normal battles.... it's still there. What I wrote pointed to a possible new hack, that can cancel autobalance. I am sure about the fact, I've seen it happening more than once. One team losing members and while being with less members than the other team, new members joining the other team. Is it a hack? Is it a bug? Is it a very quick handle of alt accounts so that one team gets many more players than the other*, with obvious results? I don't know. 2. As for XP, I don't really like XP battles more than once in a while. It's not only the restrictions in combos that offer little variety to the battles, but the very few maps that exist in XP battles. Last, but not least, there is another factor that most of the commenters usually miss, due to a white / black point of view. I like supplies, I just don't like constant use of them (that is drugging). So, XP battles without supplies is not that fun. * that could happen if two or three alt enter one side so that the normal accounts enter the other side and then the first, alt, accounts are removed leaving a big gap in the other side. A gap that in just a couple of minutes creates a critical difference in score so that hence new players are discouraged to enter the losing team. Victory for alts. Yesterday was for me the latest example of such a case. For almost ten minutes the score was 0-0 and then, all of a sudden, our team lost 2 players and the opponent team GAINED 2 players. Within the next 2 minutes, the score became 4-0 and who enters a battle in which an oversized team wins 4-0 to a crippled losing team? Nobody.

In my rank, I play 2/3 with generalissimos, Commanders or Fieldmarshals. They all have at least M3, very often M4. You have no idea at your rank what it looks like when you approach the top. Mosty good players, almost always best tanks with expensive paints, lots of drugs, plus many cases of raiders / mults. One is very lucky to find a good battle. A battle that won't turn into a masacre and a respawn shooting festival.
-
Of course I did. If the problem was that I started to get bored by Tanki, then I simply would play less, I wouldn't become a major (or maybe a general? Ha!) complainer in forum. I still like to play alot, WHEN I don't have to deal with M4 druggers that keep bullying the battles with their fathers' money.... Give me a battle of more or less equal teams that drug only on seldom occasions and I can play for hours! But, give me a battle in which I have to face M4 dictators or vikings that mean to drug even when they are 8 vs 2, and I feel like a sucker. Time to log off.

You're too low rank.. Wait untill First Liut. or Captain and then we'll see how you feel about it.

Another day that after two futile efforts to participate in a battle but failed, due to rapid bloom of the winning team and rapid abandon of the losing one, I ended playing with another one or two players against 6 or 7... (who where drugging, as if that was necessary!).. Mind you, in the beginning the teams where balanced. Now, how can one team losing members and at the same time the other team gaining members, is really beyond my understanding. Are there raiders with alt accounts ready for taking over battles? Maybe yes, maybe no. It doesn't matter really, all it matters is that for me, no more Tanki for today. (total time logging in, less than 10 minutes)

What good will it be? Graphics is not my problem, the big demand for crystals is.

But one can speculate the shrink of fun simply by making one thought. The thought that "if wandering the forum and commenting in topics is preferable to playing, then something is wrong with playing". In regard to me it's a huge truth. I would be much less time here complaining if I had more fun in battles. Actually, manty times - including today - I left a battle frustrated and came here to see what's on.... -_-
-
That is correct, but there are some - and more than some - occasions that even if you lose it's alot of fun. Say you lose a battle 4 to 7 flags, with lots of killing for both teams and balanced skill between teams. Then it's alright. Everyone gets a fair share of crystals and joy. While, on another occasion, you lose a battle 4 to 7 flags as well but with opponent team heavily drugging or 1-2 players only drugging heavily (it can lead to same results) and in regard to score, your team has a normal distribution of kills per player while the opponent team has one or two players with more than 50 or 60% of total kills AND flags captured... They get the winner's share and most of the crystals and joy. How fun is that? And it's not only the players' fault (for being druggers) but Tanki's as well for letting them drug so heavily or - even more - for selling the supplies kits. To make matters even worse, you can complain for that and there comes a noob telling you to go play XP battles or worse, go buy a supplies kit... OMG... (Facepalm)

Oh... I see. Thanks! If this is certain, then I guess someone can lock this topic.

I am sorry, I can't understand how a glitch can allow a recruit to ender a battle for generalissimos... Is that possible?
-
No I didn't see it. It's first rank, Jeezus! How can it be there in the first place???
-
Hey guys, just finished a battle and I captured the final score table. Have a look in this 1. I don't remember anyone like this in the game. 2. The rank is prohibited, only top ranks can participate, so how can it be part of the battle? 3. Where's the score from if this account wasn't in the battle but entered at the last seconds? 4. Where's the NAME of this account, as you can see it doesn't exist.... Could it be a new kind of hack? And what could this be?
-
For bigger teams and maps with hidden objects and longer scenarios than just CTF or TDM, this is the right kind of map.
-
why do you say that, have you another account of generalissimo or you just think so?
-
Excellent map for counter strike type games! Not great for Tanki though. Too long subway corridors, too narrow passages, too complex for 2X8 teams.. Don't get me wrong, the map is very good. Just not suitable for Tanki.
-
I don't mind if the "bubbles" are like that.. It can be a good idea. What I said is that if the design is too cartoonish (cartoonish super mario style) then Tanki will turn South Park... I wouldn't like that kind of design... just that.

I think and always have, that reaching the top changes the focal point of playing. By top I mean not the generalissimo uprank but the point where one has aquired all the items one really wants and need no other. Then, one can spend probably all their daily bonus plus the crystals earned in supplies, that's why I excuse top ranks from calling them druggers. Drug wars are IMO absolutely normal for generalissimos. So, when all needs are met, then it's only about fun, I guess. But the last third (if not the last half) of rank ladder is difficult in the concept of loss of joy.
-
And I think it's Tanki's policy that causes it.
-
I am not talking about a consious decision (now I will play for fun, or now I will play for crystals) but a mood that slowly possesed me. In theory, I always go for the fun, but I find myself worried for the crystals. It's a poluted state of mind.
-
Unfortunatelly I don;t have friends from real life, they find Tanki expensive hobby. So, I can't play with them (which would be great if I could). My clan, they are all generalissimos, they play only XP and clan wars but not as often as it would suit me... So, can't play normal battles with them, as well..
-
I don't play XP, or to be precise, rarely play XP. I find XP only with generalissimos who most of the time are more experienced players than me, and it wears me off playing sandbox. I mean, it's good for practicing but I like large maps. I also like a variety of weapons, XP battles with rail / smoky only are somehow restricted and less fun. Basically, the point for me is that in the beggining I played just for fun. I had no other goals than having a good time. When I started to rank up but without buying upgraded tanks, I started to need maximize the crystals earned. Now, although I pay small amounts of real money, I still lack alot of items. For example, the items unlocked at my rank are worth more than a million crystals. Maybe two, although I wouldn't buy all the existing paints... How can I buy them? I can't. So I keep killing tanks, running towards next rank but without the ability to purchace the items of the given rank. That's a source of anxiety...kills the fun. I don't imply anything, I don't propose anything, I just share... If there was a score divider (opposite to score multiplier) 4-5 ranks ago, I would most certailny used it, so that I delay my rank up untill I get all the items I want...
-
During the last few months something started to bother me in Tanki. In the beggining I thought it was the constant updates that spoiled my current playing style, or some of the updates that where bad, in my opinion, for most of the players... But now I think it is that from some point the game began to be more a way to gather crystals than a thing I did for fun. That point I thing was arount the rank of major. It was when I started to calculate my present and future needs in upgrades and paints and I started to play not for the fun of it but in order to make a good score and thus a good amount of crystals. Sometimes I new it, sometimes I didn't. But now that I bring into memory momments of the past, I see that more or less, the game has become a way to make meets end, short of... I don't enter a battle anymore just to play carefree, but I choose a suitable battle, one in which I may get lots of crystals. So, that's not good. I wonder, is this a problem of mine only, or a common case? That's why I made this topic. What do you think? And, if you agree, any ideas how we can bring back the fun of the game?

I didn't imply to make Tanki WoT realistic. Actually, I like it to be unrealistc. But unrealistic does not neccesarily means cartoonish. There is a difference between Super Mario and Judge Dredd... both are unrealistic, but I vote for Dredd. That's why I said that it's not bad but I personaly prefer not cartoonish. Maybe it's a matter of age. My age is not very fond of mickey mouse battles... :)
