This would be more balanced for gameplay, but a lot of buyers paid quite a bit of real money to get these paints via kit before they would unlock normally. If you were to prevent use of it before the appropriate rank, a LOT of people would leave. I think it's better to just deal with it for now. Eventually, everybody with a paint they shouldn't normally have will rank up, and they won't have much of an unfair advantage anymore.

If you max out the impact force and critical damage, you can make people rage even at Major. I saw a Major with M2 Mammoth/M1 Smoky once; he MUed the critical damage and impact force quite a bit, meaning he was a big threat even to my M1 Dictator.

M1 Smoky isn't that bad. It carried me all the way to M1 Thunder and then some; it's still quite effective against M2s (although I don't use it much now).

omg u serious 0 crystals too expensive how could you afford to waste that much I didn't really like my M0 Hunter all that much. I didn't use it after I got M1 Wasp. I do like my M1 Hunter, but I'm using M2 Dictator instead of it at the moment.

Dictator-Railgun is my new trolling combo. With a bit of luck/practice, you can flip over Hornets and Wasps with ease. M2 Railgun's increased impact force really helps out there.

The drift on M0 Hunter was really annoying. M1 Hunter's drift is manageable. I'm planning on getting M2 Hunter to round out my arsenal when I rank to Captain. It ought to be good with a lot of the turrets I have right now.

Very easy in my experience. Before I got my M1 Thunder in September, I was using M1 Smoky; I found it an easy transition.

I don't think I have enough experience with Railgun at the moment to make a comprehensive guide, so I think it's best left for a veteran XP player to do. Thanks for the suggestion and feedback, anyhow! I'll try to keep the newspaper stocked with Ultimate Guides for a while; note that I may not be the only one doing them. ;)

Are you talking about the Firewall kit? It doesn't seem particularly overpowered to me; while it can cause massive destruction on maps like Noise or Polygon, it's not very effective on open maps like Massacre or Barda. Besides, you can obtain them separately at Major, so you're not getting anything that wouldn't be possible normally.

According to the wiki, M1 Railgun reloads in about 6.11 seconds. M3 Railgun reloads in about 5.79 seconds. That's quite a significant difference.

The devs most likely didn't allow M1 items since they're significantly worse than M3s in terms of speed, reload time, rotation speed, etc.; a team with lots of M1 players is probably going to lose against a team with lots of M2 and M3 players. The difference between M2 and M3 in XP/BP combos tends to be smaller.

I'm going to stock up on a few supplies. Might as well, since they come in handy when counter-drugging. I'll get a PRO pass while I'm at it. Then I can play XP battles. :lol:

M2 Dictator-M2 Ricochet is becoming more popular. I saw 3 of them in one match yesterday (myself included). For a good reason, I suppose; it's pretty much a one man army.

Agreed. You can really feel the difference between M1 and M2.

Nice! It's one of the better combos if you want to be a battle medic.

I got Sandstone paint. It looks great on pretty much anything, especially my M2 Dictator. The protections are nice, but I'll start beefing it up once the MU sale comes. Now that I have M2 Railgun, M2 Hornet, and Sandstone, can buy a PRO pass after the server restart and play XP battles. Should be interesting. :)
