Holding a Battle for someone? Teammates attack

Shots with Shaft can be blocked by teammates (they won't get out of the way), but Hammer, with its dispersal, usually scores hits "around" your teammate to damage the enemy. With Twins it is inconsistent: sometimes teammates "shadow" (block) shots, and sometimes they don't -- it depends on the relative movement between the tanks and the speed of the connection. And Isida, of course, has been tweaked so much that you don't know for sure WHAT it is going to do.

That is an excellent idea, and I thought maybe they were trying it on battles that end with NO OPPOSING TEAM. Random teams would break up clans and raiders, too...they'd hate it.

What is the aircraft seen over Stadium and other battles?

It looks like a UFO. http://s1127.photobucket.com/user/dfoofnik/media/Tanki%20UFO.png.html -
Is that cheese? I thought of having a paint with Swiss Cheese, and half of the shots fired at you pass right through the holes. I need a very special paint in brown and tan: 40% shaft, 40% railgun, 40% smoky because those are the ones that kill me the most. Whenever I choose Digital, I survive the railguns and get killed by the shafts. So I switch to Needle and get killed by the railguns. We could call it Monaco to match Monte Carlo.
-
Better yet: player who kills the most other tanks every day gets a Gold Box with 10,000 crystals, but has to play with only M1 for a week. We can call it the "Tanki handicap"

Actually, all you need to do is get the "testing" job on the dev team: install updates, play game, find bugs, leave them there :(
-
Hmm. You have a point. More servers, more players, more winners...but *none* outside of Russia at least looks bad.
-
See the continuing discussion on http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=177137 They have been unable to fix it, but the devs caused it when they added the mouse controls. They did not properly understand the error generated by the new program in Java. They knew it would happen, though, because it did in the testing. :(

Is it a glitch or design feature? When I went onto a PRO battle today, I was allowed to join EITHER team, not the one with fewer players. Obviously I joined the team that had 8 players instead of 4, and a 10 point lead. This does not seem right. Is it?

I think of Hunter as a "fat Hornet" now, although it is nice to use for jumping at Monte Carlo where a Hornet could be flipped. I have my Hornet up to 210, Hunter up to 280, Viking up to 315. The Hornet is just barely fast enough to leap at MC without nitro.

See this thread about self-destructs. It should improve now that devs know it was too indiscriminate a change. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=263476

I experienced the "3 minute kick" just once, and now I always use the "Pause" setting. Evidently not moving, or not pinging the server (e.g. you are on another site) initiates the inactive kick. The "battle expiration" bug is another major pain in the butt.

How would this "colonel alt" get the upgrades when they are rank-restricted? You can't move M-grades among accounts, otherwise you would have M3 Hulls fighting recruits. Colonels get into battles with Commanders and Gizmos either by accident or by choice, and occasionally they prove their worth even against more powerful weapons. Remember that not all turrets are created equal. Of course, there is one great advantage to a second account: you know from experience what works well and what doesn't, for equipment and for particular battles, and there is no learning curve to your weaponry.

I have adopted Hunter as an alternative to Viking when speed is more important than armor but Hornet is not durable enough. Viking is tough, and better suited to Shaft and Smoky than Dictator is -- both Viking and Hunter are fast enough to evade Titan. Of course, if you are getting one-shotted you definitely need Viking or fully MUed Hunter.
-
Umm, okay. There is no fixed percentage. Let's look at the upgrades chart (unless you don't have Twins). Twins has to have roughly the same power at mid-distance, or it's useless. Smoky, Railgun, Shaft, Thunder, Ricochet are not range-dependent, whereas Twins has to be separately upgraded. My M3 = 16-18 damage per hit, exactly 17 at max range (for me 76 meters) The difference is that it semi-homes like all other weapons except sniper shaft, and though you hit with one barrel, you could miss everything with the other one.
-
I got mine cheap and almost never use it. Maybe Monte Carlo or supporting a sniper at Kungur. Other than that, I hunt them.
-
Yeah. You rite. The new battle map is called Do Nothing or Die. The only way to deal with Isida groups is a DD sniper shot to the one not wearing green. ;)
-
Uh, you're looking at damage, not range. Twins at M2 is 70 meters, and with 2 MUs has the same kill power (~12-15) at max range, Isida has 44, so has an advantage up close. The main idea has to be shoot Isida at range first. Some will continue to attack...futilely.
-
So then you can kill an enemy with half a shot? No, sirree. They have just tried to "sell" players on Isida for some reason.
-
That was me trying to video the Isida. :P I kept trying to replicate the green rope going all the way across the map at the start. The red ropes were not as visible in this particular video. It has been fixed substantially but you know that should have appeared in testing.
-
Yes, and this concept of "20-25 meters range" (M3) makes them OP, especially reaching "down" or through objects, which projectiles cannot do. They are "kill on sight" as far as I'm concerned, and if you get three or more, it is no longer a tank battle of any kind. I say reduce the offensive power of isida in half, give any hull with it one-half its normal health, and make its range 5 meters (one tank length).

NEW today: * REGISTRATION POP-UP GLITCH * Every time I leave the game for 5 minutes, or change servers, it wants me to REGISTER (not log in, but register).
-
A Mammoth fell on it. I wish I could worry about such minutiae, but I can't.
-
The anti-cheat is the latest "sucks the mop" update from the devs, definitely. And just when I thought they had their poop together with the MU change... :(
