I do not have a "Dream combo" I just want to play a good 15 minute game. And that TO lets anyone d just by doing missions and earning as they slowly level up. Someone who has time time to play only 30 minutes / day of course it will take them a long time to level up ... they do not need m4 gear then do they? They key is to have good gear for your rank. But believe what you want.

Nope. ASL still is lame at least on Tribute. Had a good game on Yorkshire but Tribute was lame. When 4 or 5 heavy hulls just sit on the cap point it is just a plain stupid non-game. Not much different then old Poly CP except the single "CP" kills you.

Having the grace period break frm missions is a good idea once or twice a year. This idea should be retained. The FUBAR which spawned it should never be repeated. I mean of course the idea to bump each and every mission to 3x difficulty or more. This idea should never be repeated. OK, 'nuff said.

Just played a Desert with 5 yes 5 Magnums on the enemy and 3 perhaps 4 on our side. What is it going to take to GET TO devs to get on the ball here? 100% usage?
-
That the 3x missions remain is almost a certainty. Removing them would be hard to do after over 6 months. The extra income really does help with the broken economic system and to make non-buyers an even match with buyers. As for the scoring chance to ASL, I applaud TO for seeing a problem and trying a fix. Dunno if it will work. But clearly the current syytem is not working. Look how few games are played now. I will give it a chance. If you think it is gambling you are entitled to your opinion. Since there is no monetary reward to me it is just a randomized sub-section of a game. We know enough about the algorithm. There's a forum post done on a survey of some 500-some openings. Low rewards account for about half. But the least valuable reward is worth at least 3x the GB value of 1,000 Cry. So no Container is "bad". Casual players that do not do missions should have fewer resources than casual players who do do missions. I know from personal experience that if you do 1+ missions / day you will be able to afford the best possible gear for your rank. You just have to focus on one hull, turret, and module Drugging cancels itself out except for the speed-ups. Yeah that's not a real interesting system but it is part of the game/ If you do missions you will have all the drugs you need. LW account is closing in on 2.500 RKs and nearing 7k now of the others. It is part of the game. When you play chess, you you refuse to move your queen? If so, why? Per my reading, All unopened containers look the same. When you open them, you see colors.

That's actually a reasonable suggestion. Thanks for understanding my point that the stealthy-ish attack is part of the Isida "assets".
-
Nope. 50% self-heal + DD + DA = Monster
-
Just goes to show you some ppl are immune to learning. Did I say "some"? Considering the state of the world ...
-
What do you propose giving to Isida to compenesate for this nerf?
-
oops replied already

I hear ya. When you have a surplus the practical value is less than the advertised value. But Cry can always be put to use. But look at all the ppl (not you) complaining about "only" getting 3k or 8k or 10k worth of materiel instead of 1k ... because they did not get their 100k-400k paint the covet. A lot of looking the gift horse in the mouth here.

This is gappening more frequently nowadays or so it seems at least. It is near 50% of all games. And this is not some mild overheating. Left un-treated it will take off about 50% of my HP (light hull).
-
Even so the least valuable possibility is still worth 3x the 1,000 Cry GB values. 125 mines at the sale price of 25 per is 3.250 Cry.. (Hmm I guess everything but the GB which are relatively worthless unless you drop them to yourself in an empty game.)

Railgun should do 10,000 damage, have a 1.0s reload rate, a horizontal arc of 180 degrees and a vertical arc of 90 degrees. It should also double the HP of any hull when it is mounted. Let's meet I Follow halfway yes?

Pol: New Content vs. Improve Exisitng
LittleWillie replied to LittleWillie in Pol: New Content vs. Improve Exisitng Archive
Every company has finite resources so it has to prioritize which jobs it undertakes. How well in Tanki doing? Players have been asking for many improvements to the existing game such as: * Re-balance the over-powered and under-powered hulls and turrets. * Fix long-existing bugs. * Complete the alterations system for turrets without them. * Develop a better rewards system to lessen the incentive to leave battles early. * Your pet peeve Instead we have been given a new mode (ASL) and are told another one (Rugby) will soon arrive. Unlike matchmaking and the new Overdrives, these new mods came totally out of the blue w/o prior hints. I do not think any player is unhappy to see new modes. BUT ... these new modes do not come free, They come at the cost of development hours spent on them instead of fixing existing problems. Is this smart strategy? I sthis the priorities you want to see? Let's find out that the EN Forum community thinks. -
3000 exp in CP mode? You win Tanki I quit.,

That option should turn off Shaft lasers and Striker laser too, and Railgun contrails. And when on Smoky and thunder should get indicators ... indicators for everyone. if it is turn on. My point is, some weapons are designed to be more stealthy than others that is part of how they are balanced. If we are going to throw that aspect of balance out the window then do it for everyone. Down with the ambush tactic.

That's what happens when TO takes the lame DM-only route. Many players have no interest in that. Last year there was something for everyone. Christmas is supposed to be for everyone - even The Grinch.

Seems to be working now

Your special site isn't working. It just shows 4 people nothing else.

I use Wasp / Vulcan and Hornet / Isida daily. Sometimes I use Hornet / Striker. So I have at least some idea of how these two light hulls behave. I have been hesitant to say anything about Wasp because I know Vulcan is not at all near a common turret for this hull. To make things worse for months now I have had an m3 gun on an m2 hull. (MU_10 stuff) So I have a mis-matched recoil to hull weight thing going. So I have not said anything because part of my issues with Wasp are due to my unusual configuration. But the differences between these two light hulls is getting to hard to ignore. Wasp has one advantage, that being slightly greater speed. But its acceleration is terrible. It doesn't drift but I see that as neither advantage or disadvantage, The killer though is Wasp tip over in a stiff breeze. Hornet can tip over too. but not nearly as easilly as Wasp. I used to think that about a quarter of my deaths in Wasp were due t self-destructs from tip-overs. Actually I wonder if the ratio is closer to half if you include enemy shots. Just about any weapon that hit from the side will cause or at least threaten a tip over. If I fire to the side I threaten a top-over. If I am going up a ramp (e.g.) firing to the side I tip over. If I am ht white firing to the side it is a 99% chance for tip over. Perhaps Vulcan makes the thing more top-heavy than other turrets. I do not know. But it is really hard to see how these two hulls are balanced. With my Isida I can maneuver at top speed through a maze of my teammates throwing out heals or dodging enemy fire. Acceleratoin and turning are crisp. With Wasp the slightest mistake and over I go. I have not used Vulcan on a Hornet. Maybe it is just as bad. But after thousands of tip-overs the novelty is wearing off. It just seem Wasp should have some better capabilities WRT Hornet to make them both equally desireable.

I have to disagree. Just today I was playing my Wasp. I was shooting at a Magnum, knew it was unlikely to kill it before it turned and lobbed a shell my way. I popped a SU and moved away as fast as I could. Was stilll caught ion the gigantic splash radius. Since most magnums shells lang w/o this sort of warning it is very hard to say magnum is a heavy-hull killer. A light hull with 50% the HP as a heavy hull is going to go blooey but a heavy might not. With striker it is even less true. I can dump a full salve into a heavy and it will live unless I have DD up and it does not have DA up. Since over 90% of combat is single-shot not salvo heavies take quite awhile to take down. Now a light hull can escape the salvo yes, if it is the target of the laser. Butt we all know Striker;s problems with salvo.

It is in TO's self-interest to revert to the Wear Holiday Paint system. They could do this overnight. It is an established system. There is no rationale for the system they are using now. That is what I cannot get past. TO makes so many decisions that are contrary to it's own self-interest. I may come across like a jerk quite often but my comments are intended for the good of the game. e.g my suggestion for Dual Overdrives. I can already picture the critical reaction to that rollout.

As always, Wolv groks. Like a good chess player he thinks more than one move ahead. --- To the mods and anyone who cares: The reason I gripe is because I want to support this game financially. When I started I was impressed that I could so so fairly by buying paints (no real effect on combat) or GBs (actually helps other players more than the buyer).. So early on I did buy several GBs and a few days of Premium too. Then the customer relations fiascoes started to roll. The bad programming bugs became SSDD. And worst of all, what seems to me deliberate misleading announcements. At best we are talking major 2nd-language difficulties. Every time I see TO do something good (eg 3x weekly rewards which helps greatly in the game's broken economy) I see two of three mis-steps. Half done projects like alterations. Bugs that go un-addresed for months (Vulcan overheating). OP gear left without a single attempt to better the situation (you know what I'm talkin' about). Yeah I gripe a lot. That's how it works in a vendor-customer relationship. I want to feel good enough about this game to support it,. Every time I think maybe TO management has turned the corner, I am soon proved wrong. Merry Christmas. Happy New Year.

Lowest Common Denominator. The more a game caters to the LCD the less chabce there is for individual skill to rise to the top.
