Blah blah Well I have heard the endgame sucks so but I am not there. My point is the possible added overhead of a Pro pass is does not convert the game from being a free game to a battle of the wallets. This is actually a very mild adjustment to Tanki's cost structure Same comment as above. Tanku has a massive iceberg-sized design flaw - It gives me no real to reason to care about ranking up. I'm darn close to LtCol now, and I'm a bit bummed. PS: Thanks for the tip on multi-quote.

If you like Vulcan get it. But happy for you, it is also a terrific choice for your level. Be sure to MU it up substantially when there are MU sales.

Smoky/viking for versitility. I haven't found a map/mode yet where I can't carve out a niche on the battlefield. Though I don't think I've done Island... The create button didn't go away. Now all you have to do is buy the Pro Pass. So buy one already. Save your excuses why you refuse to plunk down a few Cr. If you are unwilling to even try using the new system there's no sympathy for you. Pay to win? That's as absurd a claim as anyone has made yet. Are you that bad a player? Do you finish in last place in every Standard battle you fight? Hey Dan, after you quit Tanki what are you going to buy with all the Crystals you save from not buying a Pro Pass? Maybe a new iPhone? Or you could take your better half out for a nice dinner a couple times a month. It's a really cleaver idea to not spend then on a Pass in Tanki because those Crystals are so valuablel outside the game. Sorry to be so harsh. But it is really tiresome to hear people claim the Tanki company is being outrageous for expecting players to spend in-game Crystals on in-game items. The is what Crystals are for. If spoending 3,000 Cr makes the game more fun for you spend them. If not, don't spend them. If you still hate the game find another hobby. Except we have thousandas os days experience under the old system. What you claim could hapen in the old system never did. Before terh new system this would be my choice: Dozens of games on Poly, Noise, Monte Carlo, Sandbox, Island ... all map/fiormats I dislike. There might be 2 or 3 games besides them for ME to selects from. I have played so many dsamn games on Rio is pathetic. There is no objective measure that will show the old system to offer greater diversity thyan what we see now. None. Clearly the key has been to remove the create function from the basic battle section. Whicjh is entiely intuitive when you think about it., OF COURSE the complex optins should exist in the complex section! Christ. Tanki has said a couple times they are not done with this new system. There is a plan (if I heard themn right) to bring in a search function for games across the servers. Give the new system a chance. We've not seen it all yet. I had thoughts on this exact filter just last night. Two more buttons on the bottom like the format buttons. So you could see or not see all Pro/Standard lists.

Freeze and heating do different things. Freezing hampers enemy movement but if the turret stops firing the enemy stops taking damage. So the module presumably reduces the hampering effect plus damage from the turret. Heating does "do" anything itself to the enemy. It is just the mechanism that creates the afterburn portion of the damage. So all the module has to do is reduce the end-product damage from the afterburn. Just a guess.

I have hardly used it just gave up on it early. Then when the Big Update hit I bought a m0 Freeze with my test-stuff-out account. But by then that accounts was of a rank where m0 gear was pretty lame. So I didn't use it much then either. Sooo it'll have to wait to some day when I am awash in Cr and looking to spend them on something. :)
-
So they wait a day. The friend earns some more Cr and buys the Pass. The entire system is based on basic games being created by the Battle button and only the Battle button. Then quit. Your move. I agree. Bad players perform badly. Bad layers talk themselves out of even trying something new when faced with new challenges. Good players alter their approach. Your move. Well, your suggestion undermines the Rank system and thereby undermines the basic way players obtain an advantage in the game. Maybe it's a good idea or a bad idea but make no mistake it'd be a gigantic change.
-
You were exactly whom I had in mind when I posted. :P Me, I cannot get the hang of freeze. I see all 11 turrets and all 7 hulls in battle. I see battles where the long range guys tie down the attack lanes. When a tough defensive knot needs fires and freezes to bust them open. And with so many maps there's bound to be battles tailored for your style. The actual in game balance is far betrter than I've seen in other games.

Buying a Pro Pass does not cost ANY money. You are separated from no one. Owners of a Pass can play on Standard battles too. Try the system. Maybe it will work for you. Very cool my friend. Thanks for re-reading. It;s so much easier to discuss complicted issues in person than on these forums. I too think the cost should be cut a bit more. I don't think this is a perfect system but it's brobably the most realistic compromise. So if that drains a couple percent of my income OK let's give it a go. That is a very nice idea regarding play-hours instead of days. That's good feedback for the company. I too have a few accounts and play mostly my missions. I am willing to buy a Pass for each account if it makes sense. But maybe I won't. The benefit to me is I can always find a decent game now and they are on a greater variety of maps. That is w/o the Pro Pass. OMG! I thnk you have explained all this free player / cost money misunderstanding we're hearing! Code Blue Tanki; fix this!
-
If you find a turret ot hull to be garbage that really means that item does not fit your play style. I have encountered players who know how to use every item in the garage. For all the variety Tanki has balannced the basic hulls and turrets pretty well.
-
I said the point was to ensure STANDARD battles were well-populated. I did not say that twas the intent for PRO battles.
-
The change was made do that there would be fewer non-Pro battles at any given time, but that each battle would have a healthy amount of players. It has succeeded.
-
So buy a Pro Pass.
-
I use Wasp/Vulcan so corners are my meat and potatoes. You gotta start your spin-up before you round the corner so you're just about to open fire ... and you do so if there's a target seen :) The other thing to keep in mind is you do not have to kill the target outright (in team games). Wound many enemies and you will rack up points even if your team mates get the "kill" credit. There is no doubt though the vulcan took a significant hit in damage output.
-
Then buy a Pro Pass and play both in the Pro section and in the standard section. I see no issue.
-
You are right about payouts in no-drug battles. But no one is forced to play those are they? Now apply that exact same concept in reverse. * Poly CP Noise and their ilk are overplayed because tanks die over and over and the Cr piles up. * Owners of a Pro Pass can play in these higth-p[ayout games. * Non-owners cannot * CONCLUSION: Owners of a Pro Pass will have more Cr at the end of the month than non-owners will. If you refuse to by a Pass based on cost you are not very smart. ("You" used generically; not toward any individual.)
-
The PRO Pass does not let you create Standard battles. If you buy a Pro Pass you can play on the tiny-map / few-player scenarios you enjoy. Then you'll make a lot more Cr than the Pass costs OR You can not buy a Pro Pass and yo can play on standard battlefileds. Which I am guessing will result in you earning few Cr. Your choice.
-
Moving the Create button to PRO-only is the entire point to this change so what you are asking is for Tanki to scrap a project they've obviopusly worked on for months. They simply are not going to do that. They are going to implement their plan. That is what is going to happen. So you have to decide if spending 3k Cr id worth it to keep your hobby going. Keeping in mind that the only purpose for those 3k Cr is to use in your hobby. Keeping oin mind that if you quit your hobby you are getting no use out of those 3k Cr plus every single other CR you have. So you can either actually TRY using th enew system or you can pack it all in. You move.
-
Exactly. The Creat buttone has been moved for about two weeks now. The complaints were are still hering go like this: The new system sucks and I refuse to actually try it. OK, fine. At some point a genuine complaint becomes simple whining. I suggest that point occurs when people refuse to even try the new system. Hence, my current stance is try it or quit the game. Seriously. Tanki knows people will whine. Want to get their attention? Actually quit Tanki. Don't whine about it, do it. That will draw the attention whining will not.
-
You have a choice to make. You can actually TRY the system and see if maybe just maybe you still like playing the G.D. game. TRYING the system does not cost you a sinclge penny, sou, kopek or centiEuro, OR You can NOT try the system and pout. OR You can quit the game entirely. Your move.
-
A smart player would see that they can make this back easily by playing in the exact sort of games that are in the PRO list. A noob does not.
-
You cannot imagine how much I care. This happens every day. Players like a game and play it. They do not like a game and don't. If having to make one ore decision per month ruins the game for you then pfft .. go. Tanki will know if they have done well or poorly depending on how players react. They play or they don't. Your move.
-
If you like to do those things ... this the PRO Pass lets you do ... then spend your Crystals to add to your enjoyment of the game. You cannot use those Crystals to buy a pizza. For instance I do not like using the Freeze turret. So I did not use my Cr to buy one! But it do enjoy the game more when I use a Smoky turret instead. So guess what? Invested my Cr into something that helped me enjoy the game more. You are complaining because you refuse to invest your game resource in a way that will give you two benefits 1) It will add to your enjoyment of the game. 2) That investment will over the next 30 days re-pay you more Crystals that it costs. But you refuse to do this. The explanation is, you are a poor player. In Tanki terms, you are a noob. This stuff ain't hard.

Just had white might be an epiphany or possibly a stroke. Lately I have just been (compared to what I am used to) slaughtering the opposition on all my accounts. I generally do OK but this past week or so ... well it's not been routine. I don't think I've suddenly got better. I think maybe hundreds of tankers are used to just a few maps like Noise and Island. Now they are playing on maps they don't know. Maps which require different tactics. Which in turn is leads a to players being annoyed with this change. I think the players base will adapt but it is just to early. Players will learn how to do well on more maps. And Players will learn to buy the Pass if they want to find Poly CP 60 minutes again.
-
Just played some more ... thnking aobut it there's no doubt I've been plating more lately. Part of it is all three of my turrets were altered so I've been testing those. But mostly it is because I always can find a decent battle at my rank on a variety of maps. These are 90% or more in the Basic section but that's where I found my games all the time! I don't care which section I can find a good game. I just want to find a good game. At this point is time I have to say this change to the battle creation system has been a tremendous improvement.
-
This is simply nonsense. The game give players though their efforts a respource called Crystals. Players decide how they allocate this resource. Some will find value in the PRO Pass. If so they will buy it. Dor example I know for a simple fact I can make my Cry back form buying a Pro Pass. Why? Because with a Pro Pass I can find these massive Cry games. that is what the Pro Pass lets you do ... create and join high-payoff game modes. Duh. This is how games work.
