If I was to make a bit of a nerf I'd change the splash mechanics of the Snipe-shot. Does too much damage to other tanks not the prime-target.

10 seconds? With a speed-boost how would you stop it from grabbing flag and getting away? Only Hunter or Mammoth (maybe) might be able to stop it. That's not enough counters. -

There must be enough of them - else the game would fold. That's where a huge chunk of the income comes from.

What would happen if a Mammoth with OD ready was there instead of the Hunter?

This is what I was replying to... "I don't have incendiary (obviously)" Assault is meh. Only alt I don't have is supercumulative, and with Incendiary I don't plan on buying that. Anyway, my comments were for tobias consideration on buying an alteration.

Shorter battles probably offset by waiting times so pretty accurate. And yes... I'd agree that's minimum. How many of the 16 players in each battle can get 3(x2) stars? For most players the average will be more like 2(x2) stars per battle. Looking realistically at 55-58 hours.

Well since this is a tank game - ALL turrets have to have DPS. And to keep it balanced the DPS needs to be close for similar type weapons. Until the recent change the only significant similarity was that they both had splash damage so not sure why you would have been critical back then about them being too similar. Their handling was quite different.

Thunder and striker are similar? If half the players complain it's OP and half say it's bad... I'd call that a kind of balance. If anything should be done about it - the splash mechanics should be changed so it can't one-shot kill 4 tanks.

Issue is the battle-mode - not the OD. Viking & Hornet OD can kill you very easily = ASL flag returned. It's the exact same thing - only with Hunter OD you still have a chance to react after 2.7 seconds. Maybe you die, maybe you don't. But with Viking and Hornet you die AND lose the flag. What happens when you near the cap-point and a Mammoth guardian with DA active then hits shift?

AS I've said before - some ODs give the ability to kill many tanks very easily while some do other things like disable tanks. In the end it amounts to the same thing. Dying and losing the ball/flag and any OD you had active is just as bad as being stunned for 2.7 seconds and having supplies put on cool-downs. Plus Hunter has a failure rate much higher than any other OD since it can't be used in advance. It's very situational. It needs to get into specific positions to be used - unlike Hornet or Viking - which could potentially use them the moment they are available. Hunter may recharge faster than many ODs - but - does not get used as efficiently because it can't just hit shift the second it has it. Must close the distance - and risk dying in doing so. No - they are predictions based on complaints so far. Tongue-in-cheek mostly I'd say but...

Your dislike of someone's opinion does not invalidate it. And going into insults does not strengthen your argument. It does the opposite.

Spend 7 seconds (2+3+2) and likely get 2 regular shots that do meh damage? I'd stop using it. I'd ask for crystals back but I know they don't do refunds. Not to mention many complaints were that it's not different enough from thunder or striker. Making it more like smoky is not gonna endear it to that camp.

Some ODs enhance killing ability. Some don't. In the end it's the same thing - the ball/flag has been lost. It may be mind-boggling to you because you haven't figured out how to deal with it.

Yes magnum is a joke to me. Ever wonder why there are so many magnum vikings out there? because it's wide area of splash and high damage can be used with Viking OD. It's ridiculous. Gauss can't do that with it's most potent attack. So I agree - magnum is an abomination. I will never, ever buy magnum. Same with that noob turret twins. Can't stand it - even when they are on my own team. They Never. Stop. Firing. Ever.

Because it was OP. Does not take much wisdom to realize that. Oh my... you're a Legend and have only 1 m3 hull - TITAN of course. No wonder you are salty about the change. Instead of buying 4 m3 turrets you should have invested in a medium hull. You now... so you can cap a flag...

Berserk? Sounds like it's really only useful on light hulls. Plasma torch... now - does that kill more quickly? If so it might be good with Hunter OD where range is not an issue.

You need MFS to make it versatile - too short a range otherwise. Of course I always play with MFS.

Then dont use it when u have low health. Take the death. That's no different from a Hunter with low health getting killed during delay in activating it's OD, or even a mammoth dying long before the 7 seconds are up. You need to use it wisely.

Why do we need Gauss? For players that want a long-range turret but don't like rail or shaft.

How does release of Gauss encourage this account (which has striker but not gauss) from using striker. I'm not using striker because it still is not very good. Has nothing to do with Gauss.

Not sure how you can compare when you don't have both. I do, and experience tells me incendiary is much more effective. With incendiary you don't need to "duke it out". I've killed many enemies after I hit them and then hid under cover. They can use an RK (if available)... but then they have a long cooldown to use it again. The stock crit only does 800 damage. It's 50% more than an average hit. You might be forgetting that an incendiary critical still does normal damage. Without fire protection incendiary does a LOT more than +50%.

? No, we can't. At 15+ m it's 2 seconds stun and enemy can retaliate. For an OD, that's not much of an effect. Viking would destroy the Hunter in less than 2 seconds quite easily (assuming it did not do so before Hunter was within minimum range) You mean kind of like magnum?
