This is not a good sign of things to come... and... that was my experience in the battles played as well. So far - not a fan. Agree completely with your note on player dilution. Have been saying this ever since ASL and RGBY were introduced.

Not so great when anything smaller (4 of the 7 hulls) is in your face. Fires right over them and misses completely.

Thunders might be doing ok in battles - even after the nerf - because players like me, who reguarly equipped the module, don't equip it as often now. I find Magnums and Gauss (yes I said it) more of a threat so Thunder has moved out of my default set-of-3. As an aside - I'd like to say how much I loathe players (on my team) who refuse to equip modules in battle. What the heck is up with that? ? They are awesome when on the enemy team - but I can't stand them when on my team. #mult

To do that there are specific conditions, else only happens in a blue moon. Avg damage of Gauss (1745) is not enough to regularly kill even a light hull. 1) gauss had Hornet OD active (this is issue with many turrets - not just gauss - hornet OD is OP) 2) Gauss had DD and you did not have DA 3) Your hull was light hull, and already damaged. But you definietly should get Gauss module. I always start a battle with Shaft/Rail/Gauss modules as I hate getting one-shotted by camper with DD early in battle.

So idea of battle is to capture a point. There is only 1. And team has 8 players. But it goes slower if your teammates try to get in on action and actually score to. What a dumb concept. Played some battles ... cuz... missions... seems pretty silly.

Serpuhov is a popular map because it has a lot of varied terrain and is suitable for most hulls and most turrets. Can't say that about all maps. The others... yeah... they are way too specialized - I don't get the attraction. Not sure what your last bit is about. MM is the most popular by far because that is where income is generated - through mission rewards and containers. It's a simple matter of scrolling over on the "Play" page to get to battle list.

It's not just the tracer. It's the fact that Thunder is no longer "instant hit". You will have to lead your targets, and will miss significanly more often than now - especially at longer distances. That will kill smoky. If they do this I will stop playing this account which has an m4 smoky. It's just dumb the way they seem to drive players away from the game.

Rail does not need an OP sniping mode to do high damage across the map with no warning. That's the comparable. Of course I'm playing the game. 2 Gauss per team? 1/4 of the team is Gauss? Come on... maybe 1 battle every now and then. But not regularly. I mention "without enhancements" to point out that even if you protect yourself, you can stil be easly killed because those turrets just counter with their own enhancement. Shaft kills medium without DD. Defender uses DA and shaft can kill it with DD. You have 48% protection? you better slap on DA as well because you are still going to die. That's what I meant.

Yeah it's hard to find no-supply + no-OD. The creators more ofte than not probably are using Dictator. Huge advantage in that format.

1) That is such an odd thing to say... 2) No. Do we have solid walls everywhere that prevent LOS turrets? No. But there are pelnty of walls that give cover. We currently have almost no overhead cover. that is where the issue lies. 3) All those camper turrets can one-shot kill a spwaning tank or a tank that is not aware of them. The weaknesses you suggest only apply if you are aware of them. Guass being the Chimera of turrets does not make it less worthy to be in the game than turrets like Magnum. Another thing we'll have to agree to disagree on.

One situation where it thrives is Pro-Battle-No-Supplies (if OD enabled). If Team A has Dictator and Team does not, Team A wins easily.

I was holding back too - but - I kept getting a black screen or the "no-damage" bug and had to keep refreshing my browser. Was too frustrating so I switched. Still not completely comfortable with HTML5, and maybe I never will be. Hopefully they keep improving it.

I've read elsewhere how great Dictator is at turning. I actually find it very sluggish. Does not "feel" like a medium hull. It has better stability than viking of course, but not sure that compensates for it's "odd" movement characteristics.

I don't use that any more - too many in-battle errors. HTML also has errors (not as stable as they claimed) but is somewhat better.

Well you point out how Gauss is "taking away uniqueness" of some turrets. If it does not affect you - who cares? 12 of 13 turrets need LOS to hit an enemy. Maps have plenty of cover for 12 of 13 turrets. But the maps offer very little cover from Magnum. Ever hear of the saying "one of these things does not belong"? As for your last note... you'd remove Rail & Shaft and Magnum then? Cuz all three of those can kill you instantly as you spawn. All 3 can also kill you without any warning.

I find battles unbalanced because... 1) One side starts with more tanks than other and caps quickly 2) Selfish tankers bail when they realize they will not get 3 stars. FYI - you don't need to buy Pro-Pass to play Pro-Battles anymore.

Of the 4 turrets you mention only Thunder is similar - but none of them really lose their uniqueness because of Gauss. It's not Gauss' fault Devs decided to ruin Thunder by taking away the instant hit. And still not sure how that aspect affects your gameplay. For Twins? Sandal and Sandbox say hello. Plus maps like Molotov make it easy for them to engage you up close as well. Magnum and maps? It's funny that the last time they adjusted maps... they made them better for magnum - all those silly barriers...

Well... it's not like you are too poor to buy it. My point was - if Gauss was so OP we'd see more of it in battles. Players would change their priorities and buy Gauss instead. They are not. IMO because... it is not as OP as some claim it to be.
