    If you don't have DA handy, you could easily be killed before you reach your target. Shades of Hunter OD there... IMO... the "buffs" do not equal the loss, but as you say, we'll have to see how it works. Hopefully better than the previous "tweak" to freeeze did

    No idea what they designed Mammoth OD for anymore. Has 1 "rush" for 7 seconds and that's it.

    It's been gathering dust in my garage since 2 weeks after I bought it. Might give it a try again. As for Hunter... I get that many ppl were not happy with it's range... and nerfing that a little is not end of world. But increasing the activation delay even more? :wacko: Why? So it can fail more often? Only OD that can really "fail"...

    It is indeed. My default combo for Pro-no-supplies is Hunter/Smoky + incendiary. If ODs allowed I might switch to Titan-smoky, or keep Hunter and equip Ricco.

    ODs have too much effect in battles at the moment so Reduce effects and keep charge-time as is. Between drop-boxes and Dictators players have opportunity to get OD plenty of times per battle. And while waiting for OD there's always supplies and drones. There's enough "power-ups" in the game to keep most players happy.

    I don't even bother looking at that. Too busy in battle to worry about a number. With OD, anyone in the battle can kill you.

  9. Here's the avg frequency of hulls in Team battles I've been playing. Obviously varies depending on map... Hornet 1-2 Vik 1-2 Titan 1-2 Hunter 1-2 Dict 1-2 Wasp 0-1 mmth 0-1 To get "Huntered" 3-5x per battle you must be very unlucky. Are you taking same path every time and they are waiting in ambush for you? But then again, I probably get killed by Hornet-Rail many times per battle since they don't even need to be near me to do it.
  10. Well Hunter has to get close right? Plus there's a 1-second delay before it actually activates and can be killed during that time. Hornet can activate OD under cover, pop out and kill ANY medium tank in sight, well out of range of many turrets, then hide again. What do you mean Hunter presses shift and you are dead? Still has to damage you - 3 seconds. Some turrets can do it, some can't. This thread is silly. You hate Hunter OD. I think Hornet OD is ridiculous. No one wins these arguments.

    Not according to WIKI. Guess it's out of date? And yes, striker really could use 2 seconds there... not sure why Gauss would have an advantage

    "grace period"... is that the "aiming recovery time"? Both have 1 second at all m-levels.

    Stealing flags and going "face-to-face" are not the same thing. Freezing a couple defenders to get away? Sure - that is reasonable. But the ability to freeze an "entire team" is certainly OP. I have freeze on my alt account - I like it. The drop to 20% freeze on turrets is too big a nerf. But it did need a tweak. Not sure what I've said to either account before. But OK.

Which main is this an alt for - want to know which account is still bitter over something I've said in the past... :wacko: So you are upset that you can no longer destroy an entire team by yourself? You realize they nerfed isida 3 years ago for pretty much the same reason, right? But you didn't really answer my question... how does nerfing freeze (for the record - going from 90% to 20% was too far - read my other posts on this) make all light hulls useless? Why would a light hull try to go face-to-face? They were never designed for that.

    And yet... you just did. Reminds me of the way Vulcan was neutered because the programmers could not figure out how to solve afterburn issue. And yet I see lots and lots of Hornet Rails running around with LCR one-shotting medium hulls. Can't be all that bad... How does a nerf to freeze make light hulls more useless? That one combo? Sure. But there's many combos
  17. How is that any different from a Hornet-Rail with OD that can 1-shot any medium hull in the game? Can even 1-shot a damaged Titan inside it's Dome.

    You actually think this mission will discourage campers? In a CTF battle, EVERYONE with this mission will just camp. Battles will end 0-0.
  19. If Viking has such a slow recharge for OD, why do I see so many players using it? :wacko: Are they all playing with friends and know there will be Dictator(s) to help them charge faster? It's not like the hull (sans OD) is amazing or anything...

    Which defeats having freeze in the first place... It was a learned skill and now they nullify it. TO keeps setting the bar lower every time they make a change.

    1st one and 2nd one (Lions/bears/Wolves) were fun and all-inclusive. There was more of a team element and you could get something even if your faction did not win. Current WARs are basically for buyers/no-lifers - casual players need not apply. It's a shame because hard-core players already have Challenges to get extra benefits.

    It seems impossible for DEvs to do anything in moderation. Freeze messing up JUG battles? Let's nerf it 77% (instead of trying 40-50%). They did same thing to Vulcan (damage reduction during overheat) and Isida - went from 50% vampirism to 10% (where nobody used it).
