  1. Not sure I agree with Gauss being able to "one-shot" a medium hull without a laser... However, IF something similar were implemented - increasing the sniping shot damage would have to coincide with removing the Spalsh damage. You can't have both Armor-Piercing and high-explosive. Too OP. Why would anyone buy shaft when they could just equip this alt?

    The MU cost keeps getting more expensive. If you try to maintain that many combos just by MU-ing I really don't see how you will save up for m3 kits. That aside - here's my advice... I consider twins a "noobish" turret, so go for hammer + duplet alt I like smoky more than Thunder - get Incendiary alt (I have all the alts and consider it the best) Really only have experience with Gauss - but I do like it a lot.

    "Micro only a few?" and then buy kits? How many crystals do you think you will have? You have all those m2s.. so you bought with $$ or got real lucky on a container. Going forward if you are not planning on using $$... you won't be able to do both - MU m2 equipment and save for m3 kits that are no longer available after Marshal. AND... it is a mistake to "try new equipment" at m3. Way too costly for that. Maybe when you are Legend... and have upgraded the hulls/turrets you like. But I certainly don't recomend buying an m3 kit just to see if you like it.

    Tornado comes with hornet right? Doubling down on light hulls at tyhat rank not the best idea. You are better off getting kit with medium hull and short-to-medium range turret so you have flexibility for different maps.

    In 1 or 2 years you will likely be ranked above ability to get any kits - all the requirements will be unlocked. But if you have multiple hulls and turrets already at m2.5, why do you need kits? Just keep MU-ing around two combos you like.and you should do well. And make sure to get a bunch of m2 modules before m3 ones are unlocked - else they become super-expensive.

    Flash game-play feels way better than HTML. My "efficiency" while using HTML version drops significantly. Playing in HTML I feel like a recruit again... and not in a good way. Plus I prefer the Flash interface... garage, buttons etc... Too many "screens" in HTML... like TX was. Not a fan.
  7. I'm with Initiate. When I use striker single-shots it feels lke there is no auto-aim at all. And if you are on the move... well... it's horrible. Looking straight at enemy on far side of a gulley and the missile sails off in what seems like a random angle. Not even close to target.

    We already know this. Does not justify a rank-spread of 3 vs 13. :blink: Before MatchMaker, following a server-reset I could find a battle with reasonable rank-spread within 5-10 minutes. Takes me almost that long with MM now just to get into a crappy battle.

    Another battle where it was 5 active tanks vs 3 active tanks for almost 2 minutes. :o Fix your stinking MM system. It's pathetic. :angry:

    The 0-14 part does not bother me (well, in TDM it would) - could be an isida for all I know. It's the 3rd digit that matters most. Going 0-14-0 means that player did absolutely nothing. If it was healing or capping, that 3rd number would be > 0.

    All the supplies have their uses. There's no set way to "start". A lot depends on where you spawn and what is around you. DD might be needed to counter a medium hull with DA and a module. Even fire will struggle against that without a boost. You say long range... with striker... are you that good aiming individual (slow) missiles to get hits from far away? Cuz... if you use the laser - you are NOT hiding... With 8 (or 16) enemies on the map, you never know where you mighht get targeted from. Fotr DA.. either use it when under fire, or you are likely to be under fire. SB is not useless... allows you to cover large maps much faster, get to other supplies much faster, get under cover much faster, and... boosts your turret rotation which will come in handy up-close-and-personal
  12. Good luck keeping a decent player base. There's many reasons for players leaving battles - many of those reasons are legit. Punishing players does not work. I mean... worked well in TX ... right? B)

  14. Gauss targets must be in Direct-Line-Of-Sight and the Gauss itself will be exposed for 2 seconds. The above does not apply to Magnums. They can deliver damage from the safety of their base and from behind walls/buildings.

    Anyone who does not try to complete all the Tiers of the Challenges will basically have "unlimited" supplies. I don't think I could use all of mine even if I made a concerted effort to do so.

    Are battles less fun in higher ranks?

    The odds of you having protection against even half your opponents is low - considering... 1) there's 8 of them and 2) you get 3 protections... 3) many turrets have had re-surgences so there's a wide variety on any team and 4) Alterations - those like incendiary with 2 attack forms make it even harder. It's hardly ever 1-on-1 with 16 tanks around. You might have 50% against that Rail you are squaring off with, then a magnum drops a bomb on you with DD and... no module equipped versus that. BOOM. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- And how did I forget ODs? Hornet bypasses all your defenses and can kill a medium hull with one shot. D'oh!

    They pretty much are. Only one that is not is Dictator , maybe Hunter (but many disagree - there's an entire thread on how it's the end of the world) Viking, Hornet and Mammoth are insta-kills. Wasp pretty much is. Titan almost the opposite - but it lasts long enough for a couple tanks to spawn-kill an entire team. Anyway I did post #14 saying there should be more of a chance to escape.

    I would like to a number of those "Special Weekends" replaced with 1 or 2 more 40% to 50% sales. Trade them off at 2 or 3 to 1, or whatever. As I said, the smaller discounts don't help as much on big-ticket items like m3 modules (which will still cost you a mint to MU) It's not a 100% discount if you paid for those MUs... don't recall seeing any "Free-MUs" weekends... :mellow:

    I'm not 100% sure the damage should be nerfed - or at least not nerfed that much. Are you advocating that some tagets should survive if caught near center? Or this only to give those at outer fringes a chance of surviving? When a Viking or Hornet Rail (with DD) with OD activated hits a target it's pretty much a sure death. Not much you can do to survive. So why should it be much different if caught in wasp blast? I'm advocating giving a better chance to avoid it altogether. if you are caught, you are caught.

    IMO it's the blast radius that needs nerfing. Or the timer should be 4 seconds. But prob easier to adjust blast raduis by m-level. m0 hulls have no chance of escaping even if they see it. M4 hulls at least have a chance due to much better speed.

    Waaaaay too many hornets (combined with Rail). That OD needs a nerf. I guess I'm fighting all the sneaky ones as they get me AT LEAST 1-2 times per battle. Even if I kill them they take me with them.
